DRB ¹ Éphraïm m'entoure de mensonge, et la maison d'Israël de fraude ; mais Juda marche encore avec *Dieu, et avec les vrais saints*.

KJV ¹ Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

LSG ¹ (12:2) Éphraïm se repaît de vent, et poursuit le vent d'orient ; Chaque jour il multiplie le mensonge et la violence ; Il fait alliance avec l'Assyrie, Et on porte de l'huile en Égypte.

et sequitur æstum ;
tota die mendacium et vastitatem multiplicat :
et fœdus cum Assyriis iniit,
et oleum in Ægyptum ferebat.

DRB ² Éphraïm se repaît de vent, et poursuit le vent d'orient ; tout le jour il multiplie le mensonge et la dévastation ; et ils font alliance avec l'Assyrie, et portent de l'huile en Égypte.

KJV ² The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

LSG ² (12:3) L'Éternel est aussi en contestation avec Juda, Et il punira Jacob pour sa conduite, Il lui rendra selon ses oeuvres.

VULC ² Judicium ergo Domini cum Juda,
et visitatio super Jacob :
juxta vias ejus, et juxta adinventiones ejus reddet ei.

DRB ³ L'Éternel a aussi un débat avec Juda, et il punira Jacob selon ses voies, et il lui rendra selon ses actions.

LSG ³ (12:4) Dans le sein maternel Jacob saisit son frère par le talon, Et dans sa vigueur, il lutta avec Dieu.

VULC ³ In utero supplantavit fratrem suum,
et in fortitudine sua directus est cum angelo.

WLC ³ וְרִ֥יב לַֽיהוָ֖ה עִם־ יְהוּדָ֑ה וְלִפְקֹ֤ד עַֽל־ יַעֲקֹב֙ כִּדְרָכָ֔יו כְּמַעֲלָלָ֖יו יָשִׁ֥יב לֽוֹ׃

DRB ⁴ Dans le ventre il prit son frère par le talon, et par sa force il lutta avec Dieu ;

KJV ⁴ Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;

LSG ⁴ (12:5) Il lutta avec l'ange, et il fut vainqueur, Il pleura, et lui adressa des supplications. Jacob l'avait trouvé à Béthel, Et c'est là que Dieu nous a parlé.

VULC ⁴ Et invaluit ad angelum, et confortatus est ;
flevit, et rogavit eum.
In Bethel invenit eum,
et ibi locutus est nobiscum.

WLC ⁴ בַּבֶּ֖טֶן עָקַ֣ב אֶת־ אָחִ֑יו וּבְאוֹנ֖וֹ שָׂרָ֥ה אֶת־ אֱלֹהִֽים׃

DRB ⁵ oui, il lutta avec l'Ange et prévalut : il pleura et le supplia. À Béthel, il le trouva ; et là, il parla avec nous :

KJV ⁵ Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.

LSG ⁵ (12:6) L'Éternel est le Dieu des armées ; Son nom est l'Éternel.

VULC ⁵ Et Dominus Deus exercituum,
Dominus memoriale ejus.

WLC ⁵ וָיָּ֤שַׂר אֶל־ מַלְאָךְ֙ וַיֻּכָ֔ל בָּכָ֖ה וַיִּתְחַנֶּן־ ל֑וֹ בֵּֽית־ אֵל֙ יִמְצָאֶ֔נּוּ וְשָׁ֖ם יְדַבֵּ֥ר עִמָּֽנוּ׃

DRB ⁶ et l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées, - l'Éternel, est son mémorial*.

KJV ⁶ Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually.

LSG ⁶ (12:7) Et toi, reviens à ton Dieu, Garde la piété et la justice, Et espère toujours en ton Dieu.

VULC ⁶ Et tu ad Deum tuum converteris ;
misericordiam et judicium custodi,
et spera in Deo tuo semper.

WLC ⁶ וַֽיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י הַצְּבָא֑וֹת יְהוָ֖ה זִכְרֽוֹ׃
