BAN ¹³ J'aurais souhaité de le retenir auprès de moi, afin qu'il me servît pour toi, dans les liens de l'Evangile ;

KJV ¹³ Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

BAN ¹⁴ mais je n'ai rien voulu faire sans ton consentement, afin que le bien que tu feras ne soit pas forcé, mais volontaire.

KJV ¹⁴ But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

BAN ¹⁵ Car peut-être a-t-il été séparé de toi pour quelque temps, afin que tu le recouvres pour toujours,

KJV ¹⁵ For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

BAN ¹⁶ non plus comme un esclave, mais comme étant fort au-dessus d'un esclave, comme un frère bien-aimé, de moi particulièrement, et à bien plus forte raison de toi, et dans la chair, et dans le Seigneur !

KJV ¹⁶ Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

BAN ¹⁷ Si donc tu me regardes comme uni avec toi, reçois-le comme moi-même.

KJV ¹⁷ If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

BAN ¹⁸ Que s'il t'a fait quelque tort, ou s'il te doit quelque chose, mets-le-moi en compte :

KJV ¹⁸ If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

BAN ¹⁹ moi, Paul, je t'écris de ma propre main, moi je le rendrai ; pour ne pas te dire que tu te dois toi-même à moi.

KJV ¹⁹ I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
