KJV ¹ My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

WLC ¹ בְּ֭נִי אִם־ תִּקַּ֣ח אֲמָרָ֑י וּ֝מִצְוֺתַ֗י תִּצְפֹּ֥ן אִתָּֽךְ׃

DRB ² pour rendre ton oreille attentive à la sagesse, si tu inclines ton cœur à l'intelligence,

KJV ² So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

WLC ² לְהַקְשִׁ֣יב לַֽחָכְמָ֣ה אָזְנֶ֑ךָ תַּטֶּ֥ה לִ֝בְּךָ֗ לַתְּבוּנָֽה׃

DRB ³ si tu appelles le discernement, si tu adresses ta voix à l'intelligence,

KJV ³ Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

WLC ³ כִּ֤י אִ֣ם לַבִּינָ֣ה תִקְרָ֑א לַ֝תְּבוּנָ֗ה תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֶֽךָ׃

DRB ⁴ si tu la cherches comme de l'argent et que tu la recherches comme des trésors cachés,

KJV ⁴ If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

WLC ⁴ אִם־ תְּבַקְשֶׁ֥נָּה כַכָּ֑סֶף וְֽכַמַּטְמוֹנִ֥ים תַּחְפְּשֶֽׂנָּה׃

DRB ⁵ alors tu comprendras la crainte de l'Éternel et tu trouveras la connaissance de Dieu.

KJV ⁵ Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

WLC ⁵ אָ֗ז תָּ֭בִין יִרְאַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְדַ֖עַת אֱלֹהִ֣ים תִּמְצָֽא׃

DRB ⁶ Car l'Éternel donne la sagesse ; de sa bouche [procèdent] la connaissance et l'intelligence :

KJV ⁶ For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

WLC ⁶ כִּֽי־ יְ֭הוָה יִתֵּ֣ן חָכְמָ֑ה מִ֝פִּ֗יו דַּ֣עַת וּתְבוּנָֽה׃

DRB ⁷ il réserve de sains conseils* pour les hommes droits ; il est un bouclier pour ceux qui marchent dans l'intégrité,

KJV ⁷ He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

WLC ⁷ לַ֭יְשָׁרִים תּוּשִׁיָּ֑ה מָ֝גֵ֗ן לְהֹ֣לְכֵי תֹֽם׃

DRB ⁸ protégeant les sentiers de juste jugement et gardant la voie de ses saints*.

KJV ⁸ He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

WLC ⁸ לִ֭נְצֹר אָרְח֣וֹת מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וְדֶ֖רֶךְ יִשְׁמֹֽר׃

DRB ⁹ Alors tu discerneras la justice et le juste jugement et la droiture, toute bonne voie.

KJV ⁹ Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

WLC ⁹ אָ֗ז תָּ֭בִין צֶ֣דֶק וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּ֝מֵישָׁרִ֗ים כָּל־ מַעְגַּל־ טֽוֹב׃
