BAN ⁵ Alors tu comprendras la crainte de l'Eternel,
Et tu trouveras la connaissance de Dieu.

KJV ⁵ Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

BAN ⁶ Car l'Eternel donne la sagesse ;
De sa bouche viennent la connaissance et l'intelligence.

KJV ⁶ For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

BAN ⁷ Il réserve le salut aux hommes droits ;
Il est un bouclier pour ceux qui marchent dans l'intégrité,

KJV ⁷ He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

BAN ⁸ Protégeant les sentiers de la droiture,
Veillant sur la voie de ses bien-aimés.

KJV ⁸ He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

BAN ⁹ Alors tu discerneras la justice et la droiture
Et la probité, toute voie qui mène au bien.

KJV ⁹ Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

BAN ¹⁰ Car la sagesse entrera dans ton coeur,
Et la connaissance sera agréable à ton âme.

KJV ¹⁰ When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

BAN ¹¹ La réflexion veillera sur toi,
L'intelligence te gardera ;

KJV ¹¹ Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

BAN ¹² Pour te préserver de la mauvaise voie,
Des hommes aux paroles perverses,

KJV ¹² To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

BAN ¹³ Qui abandonnent les sentiers de la droiture
Pour marcher dans les voies ténébreuses ;

KJV ¹³ Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

BAN ¹⁴ Qui trouvent leur plaisir à faire le mal,
Qui se réjouissent dans la perversité du méchant.

KJV ¹⁴ Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

BAN ¹⁵ Dont les sentiers sont détournés
Et les voies tortueuses ;

KJV ¹⁵ Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
