DRB ¹ La sagesse ne crie-t-elle pas, et l'intelligence ne fait-elle pas retentir sa voix ?

KJV ¹ Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

DRB ² Au sommet des hauteurs, sur le chemin, aux carrefours, elle se tient debout.

KJV ² She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

DRB ³ À côté des portes, à l'entrée de la ville, là où l'on passe pour entrer, elle crie :

KJV ³ She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

DRB ⁴ À vous, hommes, je crie, et ma voix [s'adresse] aux fils des hommes !

KJV ⁴ Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

DRB ⁵ Vous, simples, comprenez la prudence, et vous, sots, comprenez ce qu'est le sens.

KJV ⁵ O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

DRB ⁶ Écoutez, car je dirai des choses excellentes, et l'ouverture de mes lèvres [prononcera] des choses droites ;

KJV ⁶ Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

DRB ⁷ car mon palais méditera la vérité, et la méchanceté sera une abomination pour mes lèvres.

KJV ⁷ For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

DRB ⁸ Toutes les paroles de ma bouche sont selon la justice, il n'y a rien en elles de pervers ni de tortueux ;

KJV ⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

DRB ⁹ elles sont toutes claires pour celui qui a de l'intelligence, et droites pour ceux qui ont trouvé la connaissance.

KJV ⁹ They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

DRB ¹⁰ Recevez mon instruction, et non pas de l'argent, et la connaissance plutôt que l'or fin choisi ;

KJV ¹⁰ Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

DRB ¹¹ car la sagesse est meilleure que les rubis*, et rien de ce qui fait nos délices ne l'égale.

KJV ¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
