KJV ¹ Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

LSG ¹ La sagesse ne crie-t-elle pas ? L'intelligence n'élève-t-elle pas sa voix ?

VULC ¹ [Numquid non sapientia clamitat,
et prudentia dat vocem suam ?

WLC ¹ הֲלֹֽא־ חָכְמָ֥ה תִקְרָ֑א וּ֝תְבוּנָ֗ה תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלָֽהּ׃

KJV ² She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

LSG ² C'est au sommet des hauteurs près de la route, C'est à la croisée des chemins qu'elle se place ;

VULC ² In summis excelsisque verticibus supra viam,
in mediis semitis stans,

WLC ² בְּרֹאשׁ־ מְרוֹמִ֥ים עֲלֵי־ דָ֑רֶךְ בֵּ֖ית נְתִיב֣וֹת נִצָּֽבָה׃

KJV ³ She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

LSG ³ A côté des portes, à l'entrée de la ville, A l'intérieur des portes, elle fait entendre ses cris:

VULC ³ juxta portas civitatis,
in ipsis foribus loquitur, dicens :

WLC ³ לְיַד־ שְׁעָרִ֥ים לְפִי־ קָ֑רֶת מְב֖וֹא פְתָחִ֣ים תָּרֹֽנָּה׃

KJV ⁴ Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

LSG ⁴ Hommes, c'est à vous que je crie, Et ma voix s'adresse aux fils de l'homme.

VULC ⁴ O viri, ad vos clamito,
et vox mea ad filios hominum.

WLC ⁴ אֲלֵיכֶ֣ם אִישִׁ֣ים אֶקְרָ֑א וְ֝קוֹלִ֗י אֶל־ בְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃

KJV ⁵ O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

LSG ⁵ Stupides, apprenez le discernement ; Insensés, apprenez l'intelligence.

VULC ⁵ Intelligite, parvuli, astutiam,
et insipientes, animadvertite.

WLC ⁵ הָבִ֣ינוּ פְתָאיִ֣ם עָרְמָ֑ה וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים הָבִ֥ינוּ לֵֽב׃

KJV ⁶ Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

LSG ⁶ Écoutez, car j'ai de grandes choses à dire, Et mes lèvres s'ouvrent pour enseigner ce qui est droit.

VULC ⁶ Audite, quoniam de rebus magnis locutura sum,
et aperientur labia mea ut recta prædicent.

WLC ⁶ שִׁ֭מְעוּ כִּֽי־ נְגִידִ֣ים אֲדַבֵּ֑ר וּמִפְתַּ֥ח שְׂ֝פָתַ֗י מֵישָׁרִֽים׃

KJV ⁷ For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

LSG ⁷ Car ma bouche proclame la vérité, Et mes lèvres ont en horreur le mensonge ;

VULC ⁷ Veritatem meditabitur guttur meum,
et labia mea detestabuntur impium.

WLC ⁷ כִּֽי־ אֱ֭מֶת יֶהְגֶּ֣ה חִכִּ֑י וְתוֹעֲבַ֖ת שְׂפָתַ֣י רֶֽשַׁע׃

KJV ⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

VULC ⁸ Justi sunt omnes sermones mei :
non est in eis pravum quid, neque perversum ;

WLC ⁸ בְּצֶ֥דֶק כָּל־ אִמְרֵי־ פִ֑י אֵ֥ין בָּ֝הֶ֗ם נִפְתָּ֥ל וְעִקֵּֽשׁ׃

KJV ⁹ They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

LSG ⁹ Toutes sont claires pour celui qui est intelligent, Et droites pour ceux qui ont trouvé la science.

VULC ⁹ recti sunt intelligentibus,
et æqui invenientibus scientiam.

WLC ⁹ כֻּלָּ֣ם נְ֭כֹחִים לַמֵּבִ֑ין וִֽ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים לְמֹ֣צְאֵי דָֽעַת׃

KJV ¹⁰ Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

LSG ¹⁰ Préférez mes instructions à l'argent, Et la science à l'or le plus précieux ;

VULC ¹⁰ Accipite disciplinam meam, et non pecuniam ;
doctrinam magis quam aurum eligite :

WLC ¹⁰ קְחֽוּ־ מוּסָרִ֥י וְאַל־ כָּ֑סֶף וְ֝דַ֗עַת מֵחָר֥וּץ נִבְחָֽר׃

KJV ¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
