Grand est l'Eternel ; il est digne de toutes les louanges,
Et sa grandeur est insondable.
   ⁴ Daleth.
Un âge à l'autre âge dira la louange de tes oeuvres
Et publiera tes hauts faits.
   ⁵ Hé.
La splendeur de la gloire de ta majesté
Et les récits de tes oeuvres merveilleuses,
Voilà ce dont j'occuperai ma pensée.
   ⁶ Vav.
On dira la puissance de tes actes redoutables,
Et je raconterai tes grands exploits.
   ⁷ Zaïn.
On répandra le souvenir de ta grande bonté,
Et l'on fera de ta justice un chant de joie !

³ Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. ⁴ One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. ⁵ I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. ⁶ And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. ⁷ They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
