KJV ² O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

S21 ² *Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m'as-tu abandonné? 
Pourquoi t'éloignes-tu sans me secourir,
sans écouter mes plaintes?

KJV ³ But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

S21 ³ Mon Dieu, je crie le jour, et tu ne réponds pas,
la nuit, et je ne trouve pas de repos.

KJV ⁴ Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

S21 ⁴ Pourtant tu es le Saint,
tu sièges au milieu des louanges d'Israël.

KJV ⁵ They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

S21 ⁵ C'est en toi que nos ancêtres se confiaient:
ils se confiaient en toi, et tu les délivrais;

KJV ⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

S21 ⁶ ils criaient à toi, et ils étaient sauvés;
ils se confiaient en toi, et ils n'étaient pas déçus.

KJV ⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

S21 ⁷ Mais moi, je suis un ver et non un homme,
la honte de l'humanité, celui que le peuple méprise.

KJV ⁸ He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

S21 ⁸ Tous ceux qui me voient se moquent de moi,
ils ricanent, ils hochent la tête:

KJV ⁹ But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

S21 ⁹ *«Recommande ton sort à l'Eternel!
L'Eternel le sauvera,
il le délivrera, puisqu'il l'aime!» 

KJV ¹⁰ I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

S21 ¹⁰ Oui, tu m'as fait sortir du ventre de ma mère,
tu m'as mis en sécurité contre sa poitrine;
