⁷ Je me rappelle mes cantiques pendant la nuit, je réfléchis au dedans de mon coeur, et mon esprit se demande : ⁸ Le Seigneur rejettera-t-il pour toujours, ne sera-t-il plus favorable ? ⁹ Sa bonté est-elle épuisée pour jamais, en est-ce fait de ses promesses pour les âges futurs ? ¹⁰ Dieu a-t-il oublié sa clémence, a-t-il, dans sa colère, retiré sa miséricorde ?" ‒ Séla. ¹¹ Je dis : "Ce qui fait ma souffrance, c'est que la droite du Très-Haut a changé !"

⁷ Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more? ⁸ Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? ⁹ Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. ¹⁰ And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.
   ¹¹ I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
