DRB ² Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Je suis jaloux pour Sion d'une grande jalousie, et je suis jaloux pour elle d'une grande fureur.

KJV ² Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

VULC ² Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Zelatus sum Sion zelo magno, et indignatione magna zelatus sum eam.

WLC ² כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת קִנֵּ֥אתִי לְצִיּ֖וֹן קִנְאָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֑ה וְחֵמָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה קִנֵּ֥אתִי לָֽהּ׃

DRB ³ Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Je suis revenu à Sion, et j'habiterai au milieu de Jérusalem ; et Jérusalem sera appelée la ville de vérité, et la montagne de l'Éternel des armées, la montagne sainte.

KJV ³ Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.

VULC ³ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Reversus sum ad Sion, et habitabo in medio Jerusalem : et vocabitur Jerusalem civitas veritatis, et mons Domini exercituum mons sanctificatus.

WLC ³ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה שַׁ֚בְתִּי אֶל־ צִיּ֔וֹן וְשָׁכַנְתִּ֖י בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְנִקְרְאָ֤ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִ֣יר־ הָֽאֱמֶ֔ת וְהַר־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת הַ֥ר הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

DRB ⁴ Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Il y aura encore des vieillards et des femmes âgées, assis dans les rues de Jérusalem, chacun son bâton à sa main, à cause du nombre de [leurs] jours.

KJV ⁴ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

VULC ⁴ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Adhuc habitabunt senes et anus in plateis Jerusalem, et viri baculus in manu ejus præ multitudine dierum.

WLC ⁴ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת עֹ֤ד יֵֽשְׁבוּ֙ זְקֵנִ֣ים וּזְקֵנ֔וֹת בִּרְחֹב֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְאִ֧ישׁ מִשְׁעַנְתּ֛וֹ בְּיָד֖וֹ מֵרֹ֥ב יָמִֽים׃

DRB ⁵ Et les places de la ville seront pleines de jeunes garçons et de jeunes filles, jouant dans ses places.

KJV ⁵ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

VULC ⁵ Et plateæ civitatis complebuntur infantibus et puellis, ludentibus in plateis ejus.

WLC ⁵ וּרְחֹב֤וֹת הָעִיר֙ יִמָּ֣לְא֔וּ יְלָדִ֖ים וִֽילָד֑וֹת מְשַׂחֲקִ֖ים בִּרְחֹֽבֹתֶֽיהָ׃

DRB ⁶ Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Si c'est une chose difficile aux yeux du reste de ce peuple, en ces jours-là, serait-ce difficile aussi à mes yeux ? dit l'Éternel des armées.

KJV ⁶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.

VULC ⁶ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Si videbitur difficile in oculis reliquiarum populi hujus in diebus illis, numquid in oculis meis difficile erit ? dicit Dominus exercituum.

WLC ⁶ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת כִּ֣י יִפָּלֵ֗א בְּעֵינֵי֙ שְׁאֵרִית֙ הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה בַּיָּמִ֖ים הָהֵ֑ם גַּם־ בְּעֵינַי֙ יִפָּלֵ֔א נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁷ Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Voici, je sauve mon peuple du pays du levant, et du pays du coucher du soleil,

KJV ⁷ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

VULC ⁷ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Ecce ego salvabo populum meum de terra orientis et de terra occasus solis.

WLC ⁷ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י מוֹשִׁ֛יעַ אֶת־ עַמִּ֖י מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִזְרָ֑ח וּמֵאֶ֖רֶץ מְב֥וֹא הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃

DRB ⁸ et je les amènerai, et ils demeureront au milieu de Jérusalem, et ils seront mon peuple, et moi je serai leur Dieu*, en vérité et en justice.

KJV ⁸ And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

VULC ⁸ Et adducam eos, et habitabunt in medio Jerusalem : et erunt mihi in populum, et ego ero eis in Deum, in veritate et in justitia.

WLC ⁸ וְהֵבֵאתִ֣י אֹתָ֔ם וְשָׁכְנ֖וּ בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְהָיוּ־ לִ֣י לְעָ֗ם וַֽאֲנִי֙ אֶהְיֶ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים בֶּאֱמֶ֖ת וּבִצְדָקָֽה׃

DRB ⁹ Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Que vos mains soient fortes, ô vous qui entendez en ces jours-ci ces paroles de la bouche des prophètes, au jour où le fondement de la maison de l'Éternel des armées a été posé pour bâtir le temple.

KJV ⁹ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

VULC ⁹ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Confortentur manus vestræ, qui auditis in his diebus sermones istos per os prophetarum, in die qua fundata est domus Domini exercituum, ut templum ædificaretur.

WLC ⁹ כֹּֽה־ אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ תֶּחֱזַ֣קְנָה יְדֵיכֶ֔ם הַשֹּֽׁמְעִים֙ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה אֵ֖ת הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה מִפִּי֙ הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים אֲ֠שֶׁר בְּי֞וֹם יֻסַּ֨ד בֵּית־ יְהוָ֧ה צְבָא֛וֹת הַהֵיכָ֖ל לְהִבָּנֽוֹת׃

DRB ¹⁰ Car avant ces jours-là, il n'y avait point de salaire pour les hommes, et il n'y avait point de salaire pour les bêtes, et il n'y avait point de paix pour celui qui sortait, ni pour celui qui entrait, à cause de la détresse* ; et je lâchais tout homme, chacun contre son prochain.

KJV ¹⁰ For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.

VULC ¹⁰ Siquidem ante dies illos merces hominum non erat, nec merces jumentorum erat : neque introëunti, neque exeunti erat pax præ tribulatione : et dimisi omnes homines, unumquemque contra proximum suum.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּ֗י לִפְנֵי֙ הַיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם שְׂכַ֤ר הָֽאָדָם֙ לֹ֣א נִֽהְיָ֔ה וּשְׂכַ֥ר הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֵינֶ֑נָּה וְלַיּוֹצֵ֨א וְלַבָּ֤א אֵין־ שָׁלוֹם֙ מִן־ הַצָּ֔ר וַאֲשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־ כָּל־ הָאָדָ֖ם אִ֥ישׁ בְּרֵעֵֽהוּ׃

DRB ¹¹ Mais maintenant, je ne serai pas pour le reste de ce peuple comme dans les premiers jours, dit l'Éternel des armées ;

KJV ¹¹ But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts.

VULC ¹¹ Nunc autem non juxta dies priores ego faciam reliquiis populi hujus, dicit Dominus exercituum,

WLC ¹¹ וְעַתָּ֗ה לֹ֣א כַיָּמִ֤ים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִים֙ אֲנִ֔י לִשְׁאֵרִ֖ית הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

DRB ¹² car la semence prospérera*, la vigne donnera son fruit, et la terre donnera ses produits, et les cieux donneront leur rosée, et je ferai hériter au reste de ce peuple toutes ces choses.

KJV ¹² For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

VULC ¹² sed semen pacis erit : vinea dabit fructum suum, et terra dabit germen suum, et cæli dabunt rorem suum : et possidere faciam reliquias populi hujus universa hæc.

WLC ¹² כִּֽי־ זֶ֣רַע הַשָּׁל֗וֹם הַגֶּ֜פֶן תִּתֵּ֤ן פִּרְיָהּ֙ וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ תִּתֵּ֣ן אֶת־ יְבוּלָ֔הּ וְהַשָּׁמַ֖יִם יִתְּנ֣וּ טַלָּ֑ם וְהִנְחַלְתִּ֗י אֶת־ שְׁאֵרִ֛ית הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה אֶת־ כָּל־ אֵֽלֶּה׃

DRB ¹³ Et il arrivera que, comme vous étiez une malédiction parmi les nations, maison de Juda, et maison d'Israël, ainsi je vous sauverai, et vous serez une bénédiction. Ne craignez point : que vos mains soient fortes !

KJV ¹³ And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

VULC ¹³ Et erit : sicut eratis maledictio in gentibus, domus Juda et domus Israël, sic salvabo vos, et eritis benedictio. Nolite timere ; confortentur manus vestræ.

DRB ¹⁴ Car ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Comme j'ai pensé à vous faire du mal, quand vos pères m'ont provoqué à la colère, dit l'Éternel des armées (et je ne m'en suis pas repenti),

KJV ¹⁴ For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:

VULC ¹⁴ Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Sicut cogitavi ut affligerem vos, cum ad iracundiam provocassent patres vestri me, dicit Dominus,

WLC ¹⁴ כִּ֣י כֹ֣ה אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר זָמַמְ֜תִּי לְהָרַ֣ע לָכֶ֗ם בְּהַקְצִ֤יף אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ אֹתִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת וְלֹ֖א נִחָֽמְתִּי׃

DRB ¹⁵ ainsi j'ai pensé de nouveau, en ces jours-ci, à faire du bien à Jérusalem et à la maison de Juda. Ne craignez point !

KJV ¹⁵ So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

VULC ¹⁵ et non sum misertus : sic conversus cogitavi, in diebus istis, ut benefaciam domui Juda et Jerusalem. Nolite timere.

DRB ¹⁶ Ce sont ici les choses que vous ferez : Parlez la vérité chacun à son prochain, jugez [selon] la vérité, et [prononcez] un jugement de paix, dans vos portes,

KJV ¹⁶ These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

VULC ¹⁶ Hæc sunt ergo verba quæ facietis : loquimini veritatem unusquisque cum proximo suo : veritatem et judicium pacis judicate in portis vestris.

WLC ¹⁶ אֵ֥לֶּה הַדְּבָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּֽעֲשׂ֑וּ דַּבְּר֤וּ אֱמֶת֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־ רֵעֵ֔הוּ אֱמֶת֙ וּמִשְׁפַּ֣ט שָׁל֔וֹם שִׁפְט֖וּ בְּשַׁעֲרֵיכֶֽם׃

DRB ¹⁷ et ne méditez pas le mal dans vos cœurs chacun contre son prochain, et n'aimez pas le faux serment ; car toutes ces choses-là, je les hais dit l'Éternel.

KJV ¹⁷ And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

VULC ¹⁷ Et unusquisque malum contra amicum suum ne cogitetis in cordibus vestris, et juramentum mendax ne diligatis : omnia enim hæc sunt quæ odi, dicit Dominus.

WLC ¹⁸ וַיְהִ֛י דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

DRB ¹⁹ Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Le jeûne du quatrième [mois], et le jeûne du cinquième, et le jeûne du septième, et le jeûne du dixième [mois] seront pour la maison de Juda allégresse et joie, et d'heureuses assemblées. Aimez donc la vérité et la paix.

KJV ¹⁹ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

VULC ¹⁹ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Jejunium quarti, et jejunium quinti, et jejunium septimi, et jejunium decimi erit domui Juda in gaudium et lætitiam et in solemnitates præclaras. Veritatem tantum et pacem diligite.

WLC ¹⁹ כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֞ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת צ֣וֹם הָרְבִיעִ֡י וְצ֣וֹם הַחֲמִישִׁי֩ וְצ֨וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י וְצ֣וֹם הָעֲשִׂירִ֗י יִהְיֶ֤ה לְבֵית־ יְהוּדָה֙ לְשָׂשׂ֣וֹן וּלְשִׂמְחָ֔ה וּֽלְמֹעֲדִ֖ים טוֹבִ֑ים וְהָאֱמֶ֥ת וְהַשָּׁל֖וֹם אֱהָֽבוּ׃

DRB ²⁰ Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Encore une fois il viendra des peuples et des habitants de beaucoup de villes ;

KJV ²⁰ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

VULC ²⁰ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, usquequo veniant populi et habitent in civitatibus multis :

WLC ²⁰ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת עֹ֚ד אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָבֹ֣אוּ עַמִּ֔ים וְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י עָרִ֥ים רַבּֽוֹת׃

DRB ²¹ et les habitants de l'une iront à l'autre, disant : Allons, allons implorer l'Éternel, et rechercher l'Éternel des armées ! Moi aussi, j'irai.

KJV ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

VULC ²¹ et vadant habitatores, unus ad alterum, dicentes : Eamus, et deprecemur faciem Domini, et quæramus Dominum exercituum : vadam etiam ego.

WLC ²¹ וְֽהָלְכ֡וּ יֹשְׁבֵי֩ אַחַ֨ת אֶל־ אַחַ֜ת לֵאמֹ֗ר נֵלְכָ֤ה הָלוֹךְ֙ לְחַלּוֹת֙ אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וּלְבַקֵּ֖שׁ אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת אֵלְכָ֖ה גַּם־ אָֽנִי׃

DRB ²² Et beaucoup de peuples, et des nations puissantes, iront pour rechercher l'Éternel des armées à Jérusalem, et pour implorer l'Éternel.

KJV ²² Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

VULC ²² Et venient populi multi, et gentes robustæ, ad quærendum Dominum exercituum in Jerusalem, et deprecandam faciem Domini.

WLC ²² וּבָ֨אוּ עַמִּ֤ים רַבִּים֙ וְגוֹיִ֣ם עֲצוּמִ֔ים לְבַקֵּ֛שׁ אֶת־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וּלְחַלּ֖וֹת אֶת־ פְּנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

DRB ²³ Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : En ces jours-là, dix hommes de toutes les langues des nations saisiront, oui, saisiront le pan de la robe d'un homme juif, disant : Nous irons avec vous, car nous avons ouï dire que Dieu est avec vous.

KJV ²³ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

VULC ²³ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : In diebus illis, in quibus apprehendent decem homines ex omnibus linguis gentium, et apprehendent fimbriam viri Judæi, dicentes : Ibimus vobiscum : audivimus enim quoniam Deus vobiscum est.

WLC ²³ כֹּ֥ה אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔מָּה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יַחֲזִ֙יקוּ֙ עֲשָׂרָ֣ה אֲנָשִׁ֔ים מִכֹּ֖ל לְשֹׁנ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְֽהֶחֱזִ֡יקוּ בִּכְנַף֩ אִ֨ישׁ יְהוּדִ֜י לֵאמֹ֗ר נֵֽלְכָה֙ עִמָּכֶ֔ם כִּ֥י שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ אֱלֹהִ֥ים עִמָּכֶֽם׃

DRB ¹ L'oracle de la parole de l'Éternel [qui vient] dans le pays de Hadrac ; et Damas sera le lieu de son* repos (car l'Éternel a l'œil sur les hommes et sur toutes les tribus d'Israël**),

KJV ¹ The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.

VULC ¹ [Onus verbi Domini in terra Hadrach
et Damasci requiei ejus,
quia Domini est oculus hominis et omnium tribuum Israël.

WLC ¹ מַשָּׂ֤א דְבַר־ יְהוָה֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ חַדְרָ֔ךְ וְדַמֶּ֖שֶׂק מְנֻחָת֑וֹ כִּ֤י לַֽיהוָה֙ עֵ֣ין אָדָ֔ם וְכֹ֖ל שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

DRB ² et Hamath aussi, [qui] est sur sa frontière, Tyr, et Sidon, bien qu'elle soit très sage.

KJV ² And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.

VULC ² Emath quoque in terminis ejus, et Tyrus, et Sidon :
assumpserunt quippe sibi sapientiam valde.

WLC ² וְגַם־ חֲמָ֖ת תִּגְבָּל־ בָּ֑הּ צֹ֣ר וְצִיד֔וֹן כִּ֥י חָֽכְמָ֖ה מְאֹֽד׃

DRB ³ Et Tyr s'est bâti une forteresse, et elle amasse l'argent comme de la poussière, et l'or comme la boue des rues.

KJV ³ And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

VULC ³ Et ædificavit Tyrus munitionem suam,
et coacervavit argentum quasi humum,
et aurum ut lutum platearum.

WLC ³ וַתִּ֥בֶן צֹ֛ר מָצ֖וֹר לָ֑הּ וַתִּצְבָּר־ כֶּ֙סֶף֙ כֶּֽעָפָ֔ר וְחָר֖וּץ כְּטִ֥יט חוּצֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁴ Voici, le Seigneur s'en emparera et brisera sa force dans la mer, et elle sera dévorée par le feu.

KJV ⁴ Behold, the LORD will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

VULC ⁴ Ecce Dominus possidebit eam :
et percutiet in mari fortitudinem ejus,
et hæc igni devorabitur.

DRB ⁵ Askalon le verra et aura peur ; Gaza aussi, et elle sera fort angoissée ; Ékron aussi, car elle sera honteuse de sa confiance ; et le roi sera retranché de Gaza, et Askalon ne sera pas habitée ;

KJV ⁵ Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

DRB ⁷ et j'ôterai son sang de sa bouche, et ses abominations d'entre ses dents ; mais celui qui restera, lui aussi, sera pour notre Dieu, et sera comme un chef en Juda, et Ékron, comme un Jébusien.

KJV ⁷ And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

DRB ⁸ Et je camperai à côté de ma maison, à cause de l'armée, à cause des allants et des venants, et l'exacteur ne passera plus sur eux ; car maintenant j'ai vu de mes yeux.

KJV ⁸ And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

KJV ⁵ And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

DRB ⁶ Et je rendrai forte la maison de Juda, et je sauverai la maison de Joseph, et je les ramènerai*, car j'userai de miséricorde envers eux ; et ils seront comme si je ne les avais pas rejetés ; car je suis l'Éternel, leur Dieu, et je les exaucerai.

DRB ⁷ Et [ceux d']Éphraïm seront comme un homme fort, et leur cœur se réjouira comme par le vin, et leurs fils [le] verront et se réjouiront ; leur cœur s'égayera en l'Éternel.

KJV ⁷ And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.

DRB ⁸ Je les sifflerai et je les rassemblerai, car je les ai rachetés ; et ils multiplieront comme ils avaient multiplié.

KJV ⁸ I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

DRB ² Hurle, cyprès ! car le cèdre est tombé, les nobles sont dévastés. Hurlez, chênes de Basan ! car la forêt inaccessible est abattue.

KJV ² Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.

DRB ³ Une voix du hurlement des bergers, - car leur magnificence est une voix du rugissement des jeunes lions, - car l'orgueil du Jourdain est dévasté.

KJV ³ There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.

WLC ⁴ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑י רְעֵ֖ה אֶת־ צֹ֥אן הַהֲרֵגָֽה׃

DRB ⁵ que leurs possesseurs tuent, sans passer pour coupables*, et dont les vendeurs disent : Béni soit l'Éternel, je me suis enrichi ! et leurs bergers ne les épargnent pas.

KJV ⁵ Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.

DRB ⁶ Car je n'épargnerai plus les habitants du pays, dit l'Éternel. Et voici, je ferai tomber les hommes dans les mains l'un de l'autre et dans la main de son roi ; et ils écraseront le pays ; et je ne délivrerai pas de leur main.

KJV ⁶ For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.

DRB ⁷ Et je me mis à paître le troupeau de la tuerie, voire même les pauvres du troupeau ; et je pris deux bâtons : je nommai l'un Beauté, et je nommai l'autre Liens, et je me mis à paître le troupeau.

KJV ⁷ And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.

DRB ⁸ Et je détruisis trois des bergers en un mois, et mon âme fut ennuyée d'eux, et leur âme aussi se dégoûta de moi.

KJV ⁸ Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

KJV ⁹ Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.

DRB ¹⁰ Et je pris mon bâton Beauté, et je le brisai, pour rompre mon alliance, que j'avais faite avec tous les peuples*.

KJV ¹⁰ And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

KJV ¹¹ And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.

KJV ¹² And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.

DRB ¹³ Et l'Éternel me dit : Jette-le au potier, [ce] prix magnifique auquel j'ai été estimé par eux. Et je pris les trente [pièces] d'argent, et je les jetai au potier, dans la maison de l'Éternel.

KJV ¹³ And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.

DRB ¹⁴ Et je brisai mon second bâton Liens, pour rompre la fraternité entre Juda et Israël.

KJV ¹⁴ Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

VULC ¹⁴ Et præcidi virgam meam secundam, quæ appellabatur Funiculus, ut dissolverem germanitatem inter Judam et Israël.

DRB ¹⁵ Et l'Éternel me dit : Prends encore les instruments d'un berger insensé.

KJV ¹⁵ And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

DRB ¹⁶ Car voici, je suscite un berger dans le pays, qui ne visitera pas ce qui va périr, qui ne cherchera pas ce qui est dispersé, qui ne pansera pas ce qui est blessé, et ne nourrira pas ce qui est en bon état ; mais il mangera la chair de ce qui est gras, et rompra la corne de leurs pieds.

KJV ¹⁶ For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.

DRB ¹⁷ Malheur au pasteur de néant* qui abandonne le troupeau ! L'épée [tombera] sur son bras et sur son œil droit. Son bras sera entièrement desséché, et son œil droit sera entièrement obscurci.

KJV ¹⁷ Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

DRB ² Voici, je ferai de Jérusalem une coupe d'étourdissement pour tous les peuples d'alentour, et elle sera aussi contre Juda lors du siège contre Jérusalem*.

KJV ² Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

DRB ³ Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, que je ferai de Jérusalem une pierre pesante pour tous les peuples : tous ceux qui s'en chargeront s'y meurtriront certainement ; et toutes les nations de la terre seront rassemblées contre elle.

KJV ³ And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

omnes qui levabunt eam concisione lacerabuntur,
et colligentur adversus eam omnia regna terræ.

DRB ⁴ En ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel, je frapperai de terreur tous les chevaux, et de délire ceux qui les montent, et j'ouvrirai mes yeux sur la maison de Juda, et je frapperai de cécité tous les chevaux des peuples.

KJV ⁴ In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

DRB ⁵ Et les chefs de Juda diront en leur cœur : Les habitants de Jérusalem seront ma force, par l'Éternel des armées, leur Dieu.

KJV ⁵ And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

VULC ⁵ Et dicent duces Juda in corde suo :
Confortentur mihi habitatores Jerusalem
in Domino exercituum, Deo eorum !

WLC ⁵ וְאָֽמְר֛וּ אַלֻּפֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה בְּלִבָּ֑ם אַמְצָ֥ה לִי֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם בַּיהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃

DRB ⁶ En ce jour-là, je rendrai les chefs de Juda semblables à un foyer de feu au milieu du bois et à une torche de feu dans une gerbe, et ils dévoreront à droite et à gauche tous les peuples d'alentour, et Jérusalem demeurera encore à sa place, à Jérusalem.

KJV ⁶ In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

WLC ⁶ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֡וּא אָשִׂים֩ אֶת־ אַלֻּפֵ֨י יְהוּדָ֜ה כְּֽכִיּ֧וֹר אֵ֣שׁ בְּעֵצִ֗ים וּכְלַפִּ֥יד אֵשׁ֙ בְּעָמִ֔יר וְאָ֨כְל֜וּ עַל־ יָמִ֧ין וְעַל־ שְׂמֹ֛אול אֶת־ כָּל־ הָעַמִּ֖ים סָבִ֑יב וְיָשְׁבָ֨ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֥ם ע֛וֹד תַּחְתֶּ֖יהָ בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

DRB ⁷ Et l'Éternel sauvera premièrement les tentes de Juda, afin que la gloire de la maison de David et la gloire des habitants de Jérusalem ne s'élèvent pas contre Juda.

KJV ⁷ The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

DRB ⁸ En ce jour-là, l'Éternel protégera les habitants de Jérusalem, et celui qui chancelle parmi eux sera en ce jour-là comme David, et la maison de David sera comme Dieu, comme l'Ange de l'Éternel devant eux.

KJV ⁸ In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

DRB ⁹ Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, que je chercherai à détruire toutes les nations qui viennent contre Jérusalem.

KJV ⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

quæram conterere omnes gentes quæ veniunt contra Jerusalem.

WLC ⁹ וְהָיָ֖ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא אֲבַקֵּ֗שׁ לְהַשְׁמִיד֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם הַבָּאִ֖ים עַל־ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

DRB ¹⁰ Et je répandrai sur la maison de David et sur les habitants de Jérusalem un esprit de grâce et de supplications ; et ils regarderont vers moi, celui qu'ils auront percé, et ils se lamenteront sur lui, comme on se lamente sur un [fils] unique, et il y aura de l'amertume pour lui, comme on a de l'amertume pour un premier-né.

DRB ¹¹ En ce jour-là, il y aura une grande lamentation à Jérusalem, comme la lamentation de Hadadrimmon dans la vallée* de Meguiddon ;

DRB ³ Et l'Éternel sortira et combattra contre ces nations comme au jour où il a combattu au jour de la bataille.

KJV ³ Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

VULC ³ Et egredietur Dominus, et præliabitur contra gentes illas, sicut præliatus est in die certaminis.

DRB ⁴ Et ses pieds se tiendront, en ce jour-là, sur la montagne des Oliviers, qui est en face de Jérusalem, vers l'orient ; et la montagne des Oliviers se fendra par le milieu, vers le levant, et vers l'occident, - une fort grande vallée, et la moitié de la montagne se retirera vers le nord, et la moitié vers le midi.

KJV ⁴ And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

DRB ⁵ Et vous fuirez dans la vallée de mes montagnes ; car la vallée des montagnes s'étendra jusqu'à Atsal ; et vous fuirez comme vous avez fui devant le tremblement de terre, aux jours d'Ozias, roi de Juda. - Et l'Éternel, mon Dieu, viendra, [et] tous les saints avec toi.

KJV ⁵ And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

KJV ⁸ And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

DRB ⁹ Et l'Éternel sera roi sur toute la terre. En ce jour-là, il y aura un Éternel, et son nom sera un.

KJV ⁹ And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

KJV ¹⁰ All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.

VULC ¹⁰ Et revertetur omnis terra usque ad desertum, de colle Remmon ad austrum Jerusalem : et exaltabitur, et habitabit in loco suo, a porta Benjamin usque ad locum portæ prioris, et usque ad portam angulorum, et a turre Hananeel usque ad torcularia regis.

WLC ¹⁰ יִסּ֨וֹב כָּל־ הָאָ֤רֶץ כָּעֲרָבָה֙ מִגֶּ֣בַע לְרִמּ֔וֹן נֶ֖גֶב יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְֽרָאֲמָה֩ וְיָשְׁבָ֨ה תַחְתֶּ֜יהָ לְמִשַּׁ֣עַר בִּנְיָמִ֗ן עַד־ מְק֞וֹם שַׁ֤עַר הָֽרִאשׁוֹן֙ עַד־ שַׁ֣עַר הַפִּנִּ֔ים וּמִגְדַּ֣ל חֲנַנְאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד יִקְבֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

DRB ¹¹ Et on y habitera, et il n'y aura plus d'anathème ; et Jérusalem habitera en sécurité.

KJV ¹¹ And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

VULC ¹¹ Et habitabunt in ea, et anathema non erit amplius, sed sedebit Jerusalem secura.

WLC ¹¹ וְיָ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֔הּ וְחֵ֖רֶם לֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶה־ ע֑וֹד וְיָשְׁבָ֥ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם לָבֶֽטַח׃

DRB ¹² Et c'est ici la plaie dont l'Éternel frappera tous les peuples qui auront fait la guerre contre Jérusalem : leur chair se fondra tandis qu'ils seront debout sur leurs pieds, et leurs yeux se fondront dans leurs orbites, et leur langue se fondra dans leur bouche.

KJV ¹² And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

VULC ¹² Et hæc erit plaga qua percutiet Dominus omnes gentes quæ pugnaverunt adversus Jerusalem : tabescet caro uniuscujusque stantis super pedes suos : et oculi ejus contabescent in foraminibus suis, et lingua eorum contabescet in ore suo.

DRB ¹³ Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, qu'il y aura, de par l'Éternel, un grand trouble parmi eux, et ils saisiront la main l'un de l'autre, et lèveront la main l'un contre l'autre.

KJV ¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

DRB ¹⁴ Et Juda aussi combattra à* Jérusalem ; et les richesses de toutes les nations d'alentour seront rassemblées, or et argent et vêtements en grande quantité.

KJV ¹⁴ And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

VULC ¹⁴ Sed et Judas pugnabit adversus Jerusalem : et congregabuntur divitiæ omnium gentium in circuitu, aurum, et argentum, et vestes multæ satis.

DRB ¹⁵ Et ainsi sera la plaie du cheval, du mulet, du chameau et de l'âne, et de toute bête qui sera dans ces camps : [elle sera] selon cette plaie-là.

KJV ¹⁵ And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

DRB ¹⁶ Et il arrivera que tous ceux qui resteront de toutes les nations qui seront venues contre Jérusalem, monteront d'année en année pour se prosterner devant le roi, l'Éternel des armées, et pour célébrer la fête des tabernacles.

KJV ¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

DRB ¹⁷ Et il arrivera que, celle des familles de la terre qui ne montera pas à Jérusalem pour se prosterner devant le roi, l'Éternel des armées,… sur celle-là, il n'y aura pas de pluie ;

KJV ¹⁷ And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

WLC ¹⁷ וְ֠הָיָה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־ יַעֲלֶ֜ה מֵאֵ֨ת מִשְׁפְּח֤וֹת הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶל־ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם לְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֔ת לְמֶ֖לֶךְ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת וְלֹ֥א עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם יִהְיֶ֥ה הַגָּֽשֶׁם׃

DRB ¹⁸ et si la famille d'Égypte ne monte pas et ne vient pas, il n'y en aura pas sur elle : ce sera la plaie* dont l'Éternel frappera les nations qui ne monteront pas pour célébrer la fête des tabernacles.

KJV ¹⁸ And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

DRB ¹⁹ Ceci sera la peine du péché* de l'Égypte et la peine du péché de toutes les nations qui ne monteront pas pour célébrer la fête des tabernacles.

KJV ¹⁹ This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

DRB ²⁰ En ce jour-là, il y aura sur les clochettes* des chevaux : Sainteté à l'Éternel ; et les chaudières dans la maison de l'Éternel seront comme les bassins** devant l'autel.

KJV ²⁰ In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

VULC ²⁰ In die illa, erit quod super frenum equi est, sanctum Domino : et erunt lebetes in domo Domini quasi phialæ coram altari.

WLC ²⁰ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יִֽהְיֶה֙ עַל־ מְצִלּ֣וֹת הַסּ֔וּס קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָ֑ה וְהָיָ֤ה הַסִּירוֹת֙ בְּבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה כַּמִּזְרָקִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֥י הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

DRB ²¹ Et toute chaudière dans Jérusalem et en Juda sera une chose sainte, [consacrée] à l'Éternel des armées ; et tous ceux qui offriront des sacrifices viendront et en prendront, et y cuiront. Et il n'y aura plus de Cananéen dans la maison de l'Éternel des armées, en ce jour-là.

KJV ²¹ Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

VULC ²¹ Et erit omnis lebes in Jerusalem et in Juda sanctificatus Domino exercituum : et venient omnes immolantes, et sument ex eis, et coquent in eis : et non erit mercator ultra in domo Domini exercituum in die illo.
