KJV ¹ Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,

KJV ² Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

LSG ² Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Je suis ému pour Sion d'une grande jalousie, et je suis saisi pour elle d'une grande fureur.

WLC ² כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת קִנֵּ֥אתִי לְצִיּ֖וֹן קִנְאָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֑ה וְחֵמָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה קִנֵּ֥אתִי לָֽהּ׃

KJV ³ Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.

LSG ³ Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Je retourne à Sion, et je veux habiter au milieu de Jérusalem. Jérusalem sera appelée ville fidèle, et la montagne de l'Éternel des armées montagne sainte.

WLC ³ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה שַׁ֚בְתִּי אֶל־ צִיּ֔וֹן וְשָׁכַנְתִּ֖י בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְנִקְרְאָ֤ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִ֣יר־ הָֽאֱמֶ֔ת וְהַר־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת הַ֥ר הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

KJV ⁴ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

LSG ⁴ Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Des vieillards et des femmes âgées s'assiéront encore dans les rues de Jérusalem, chacun le bâton à la main, à cause du grand nombre de leurs jours.

WLC ⁴ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת עֹ֤ד יֵֽשְׁבוּ֙ זְקֵנִ֣ים וּזְקֵנ֔וֹת בִּרְחֹב֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְאִ֧ישׁ מִשְׁעַנְתּ֛וֹ בְּיָד֖וֹ מֵרֹ֥ב יָמִֽים׃

KJV ⁵ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

LSG ⁵ Les rues de la ville seront remplies de jeunes garçons et de jeunes filles, jouant dans les rues.

WLC ⁵ וּרְחֹב֤וֹת הָעִיר֙ יִמָּ֣לְא֔וּ יְלָדִ֖ים וִֽילָד֑וֹת מְשַׂחֲקִ֖ים בִּרְחֹֽבֹתֶֽיהָ׃

KJV ⁶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.

LSG ⁶ Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Si la chose paraît étonnante aux yeux du reste de ce peuple en ces jours-là, sera-t-elle de même étonnante à mes yeux ? dit l'Éternel des armées.

WLC ⁶ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת כִּ֣י יִפָּלֵ֗א בְּעֵינֵי֙ שְׁאֵרִית֙ הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה בַּיָּמִ֖ים הָהֵ֑ם גַּם־ בְּעֵינַי֙ יִפָּלֵ֔א נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

KJV ⁷ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

LSG ⁷ Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Voici, je délivre mon peuple du pays de l'orient et du pays du soleil couchant.

WLC ⁷ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י מוֹשִׁ֛יעַ אֶת־ עַמִּ֖י מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִזְרָ֑ח וּמֵאֶ֖רֶץ מְב֥וֹא הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃

KJV ⁸ And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

LSG ⁸ Je les ramènerai, et ils habiteront au milieu de Jérusalem ; ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu avec vérité et droiture.

WLC ⁸ וְהֵבֵאתִ֣י אֹתָ֔ם וְשָׁכְנ֖וּ בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְהָיוּ־ לִ֣י לְעָ֗ם וַֽאֲנִי֙ אֶהְיֶ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים בֶּאֱמֶ֖ת וּבִצְדָקָֽה׃

KJV ⁹ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

LSG ⁹ Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Fortifiez vos mains, vous qui entendez aujourd'hui ces paroles de la bouche des prophètes qui parurent au temps où fut fondée la maison de l'Éternel des armées, où le temple allait être bâti.

WLC ⁹ כֹּֽה־ אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ תֶּחֱזַ֣קְנָה יְדֵיכֶ֔ם הַשֹּֽׁמְעִים֙ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה אֵ֖ת הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה מִפִּי֙ הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים אֲ֠שֶׁר בְּי֞וֹם יֻסַּ֨ד בֵּית־ יְהוָ֧ה צְבָא֛וֹת הַהֵיכָ֖ל לְהִבָּנֽוֹת׃

KJV ¹⁰ For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.

LSG ¹⁰ Car avant ce temps, le travail de l'homme ne recevait pas sa récompense, et le salaire des bêtes était nul ; il n'y avait point de paix pour ceux qui entraient et sortaient, à cause de l'ennemi, et je lâchais tous les hommes les uns contre les autres.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּ֗י לִפְנֵי֙ הַיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם שְׂכַ֤ר הָֽאָדָם֙ לֹ֣א נִֽהְיָ֔ה וּשְׂכַ֥ר הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֵינֶ֑נָּה וְלַיּוֹצֵ֨א וְלַבָּ֤א אֵין־ שָׁלוֹם֙ מִן־ הַצָּ֔ר וַאֲשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־ כָּל־ הָאָדָ֖ם אִ֥ישׁ בְּרֵעֵֽהוּ׃

KJV ¹¹ But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts.

LSG ¹¹ Maintenant je ne suis pas pour le reste de ce peuple comme j'étais dans le temps passé, dit l'Éternel des armées.

WLC ¹¹ וְעַתָּ֗ה לֹ֣א כַיָּמִ֤ים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִים֙ אֲנִ֔י לִשְׁאֵרִ֖ית הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

KJV ¹² For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

LSG ¹² Car les semailles prospéreront, la vigne rendra son fruit, la terre donnera ses produits, et les cieux enverront leur rosée ; je ferai jouir de toutes ces choses le reste de ce peuple.

WLC ¹² כִּֽי־ זֶ֣רַע הַשָּׁל֗וֹם הַגֶּ֜פֶן תִּתֵּ֤ן פִּרְיָהּ֙ וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ תִּתֵּ֣ן אֶת־ יְבוּלָ֔הּ וְהַשָּׁמַ֖יִם יִתְּנ֣וּ טַלָּ֑ם וְהִנְחַלְתִּ֗י אֶת־ שְׁאֵרִ֛ית הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה אֶת־ כָּל־ אֵֽלֶּה׃

KJV ¹³ And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

LSG ¹³ De même que vous avez été en malédiction parmi les nations, maison de Juda et maison d'Israël, de même je vous sauverai, et vous serez en bénédiction. Ne craignez pas, et que vos mains se fortifient !

WLC ¹³ וְהָיָ֡ה כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ הֱיִיתֶ֨ם קְלָלָ֜ה בַּגּוֹיִ֗ם בֵּ֤ית יְהוּדָה֙ וּבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֵּ֚ן אוֹשִׁ֣יעַ אֶתְכֶ֔ם וִהְיִיתֶ֖ם בְּרָכָ֑ה אַל־ תִּירָ֖אוּ תֶּחֱזַ֥קְנָה יְדֵיכֶֽם׃

KJV ¹⁴ For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:

LSG ¹⁴ Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Comme j'ai eu la pensée de vous faire du mal lorsque vos pères m'irritaient, dit l'Éternel des armées, et que je ne m'en suis point repenti,

WLC ¹⁴ כִּ֣י כֹ֣ה אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר זָמַמְ֜תִּי לְהָרַ֣ע לָכֶ֗ם בְּהַקְצִ֤יף אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ אֹתִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת וְלֹ֖א נִחָֽמְתִּי׃

KJV ¹⁵ So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

LSG ¹⁵ ainsi je reviens en arrière et j'ai résolu en ces jours de faire du bien à Jérusalem et à la maison de Juda. Ne craignez pas !

WLC ¹⁵ כֵּ֣ן שַׁ֤בְתִּי זָמַ֙מְתִּי֙ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה לְהֵיטִ֥יב אֶת־ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם וְאֶת־ בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֑ה אַל־ תִּירָֽאוּ׃

KJV ¹⁶ These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

LSG ¹⁶ Voici ce que vous devez faire: dites la vérité chacun à son prochain ; jugez dans vos portes selon la vérité et en vue de la paix ;

WLC ¹⁶ אֵ֥לֶּה הַדְּבָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּֽעֲשׂ֑וּ דַּבְּר֤וּ אֱמֶת֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־ רֵעֵ֔הוּ אֱמֶת֙ וּמִשְׁפַּ֣ט שָׁל֔וֹם שִׁפְט֖וּ בְּשַׁעֲרֵיכֶֽם׃

KJV ¹⁷ And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

LSG ¹⁷ que nul en son coeur ne pense le mal contre son prochain, et n'aimez pas le faux serment, car ce sont là toutes choses que je hais, dit l'Éternel.

WLC ¹⁷ וְאִ֣ישׁ ׀ אֶת־ רָעַ֣ת רֵעֵ֗הוּ אַֽל־ תַּחְשְׁבוּ֙ בִּלְבַבְכֶ֔ם וּשְׁבֻ֥עַת שֶׁ֖קֶר אַֽל־ תֶּאֱהָ֑בוּ כִּ֧י אֶת־ כָּל־ אֵ֛לֶּה אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׂנֵ֖אתִי נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁸ And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying,

LSG ¹⁸ La parole de l'Éternel des armées me fut adressée, en ces mots:

WLC ¹⁸ וַיְהִ֛י דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

KJV ¹⁹ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

LSG ¹⁹ Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Le jeûne du quatrième mois, le jeûne du cinquième, le jeûne du septième et le jeûne du dixième se changeront pour la maison de Juda en jours d'allégresse et de joie, en fêtes de réjouissance. Mais aimez la vérité et la paix.

WLC ¹⁹ כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֞ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת צ֣וֹם הָרְבִיעִ֡י וְצ֣וֹם הַחֲמִישִׁי֩ וְצ֨וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י וְצ֣וֹם הָעֲשִׂירִ֗י יִהְיֶ֤ה לְבֵית־ יְהוּדָה֙ לְשָׂשׂ֣וֹן וּלְשִׂמְחָ֔ה וּֽלְמֹעֲדִ֖ים טוֹבִ֑ים וְהָאֱמֶ֥ת וְהַשָּׁל֖וֹם אֱהָֽבוּ׃

KJV ²⁰ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

LSG ²⁰ Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Il viendra encore des peuples et des habitants d'un grand nombre de villes.

WLC ²⁰ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת עֹ֚ד אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָבֹ֣אוּ עַמִּ֔ים וְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י עָרִ֥ים רַבּֽוֹת׃

KJV ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

LSG ²¹ Les habitants d'une ville iront à l'autre, en disant: Allons implorer l'Éternel et chercher l'Éternel des armées ! Nous irons aussi !

WLC ²¹ וְֽהָלְכ֡וּ יֹשְׁבֵי֩ אַחַ֨ת אֶל־ אַחַ֜ת לֵאמֹ֗ר נֵלְכָ֤ה הָלוֹךְ֙ לְחַלּוֹת֙ אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וּלְבַקֵּ֖שׁ אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת אֵלְכָ֖ה גַּם־ אָֽנִי׃

KJV ²² Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

LSG ²² Et beaucoup de peuples et de nombreuses nations viendront chercher l'Éternel des armées à Jérusalem et implorer l'Éternel.

WLC ²² וּבָ֨אוּ עַמִּ֤ים רַבִּים֙ וְגוֹיִ֣ם עֲצוּמִ֔ים לְבַקֵּ֛שׁ אֶת־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וּלְחַלּ֖וֹת אֶת־ פְּנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ²³ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

LSG ²³ Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: En ces jours-là, dix hommes de toutes les langues des nations saisiront un Juif par le pan de son vêtement et diront: Nous irons avec vous, car nous avons appris que Dieu est avec vous.

WLC ²³ כֹּ֥ה אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔מָּה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יַחֲזִ֙יקוּ֙ עֲשָׂרָ֣ה אֲנָשִׁ֔ים מִכֹּ֖ל לְשֹׁנ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְֽהֶחֱזִ֡יקוּ בִּכְנַף֩ אִ֨ישׁ יְהוּדִ֜י לֵאמֹ֗ר נֵֽלְכָה֙ עִמָּכֶ֔ם כִּ֥י שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ אֱלֹהִ֥ים עִמָּכֶֽם׃

KJV ¹ The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.

LSG ¹ Oracle, parole de l'Éternel sur le pays de Hadrac. Elle s'arrête sur Damas, Car l'Éternel a l'oeil sur les hommes Comme sur toutes les tribus d'Israël ;

WLC ¹ מַשָּׂ֤א דְבַר־ יְהוָה֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ חַדְרָ֔ךְ וְדַמֶּ֖שֶׂק מְנֻחָת֑וֹ כִּ֤י לַֽיהוָה֙ עֵ֣ין אָדָ֔ם וְכֹ֖ל שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ² And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.

LSG ² Elle s'arrête aussi sur Hamath, à la frontière de Damas, Sur Tyr et Sidon, malgré toute leur sagesse.

WLC ² וְגַם־ חֲמָ֖ת תִּגְבָּל־ בָּ֑הּ צֹ֣ר וְצִיד֔וֹן כִּ֥י חָֽכְמָ֖ה מְאֹֽד׃

KJV ³ And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

LSG ³ Tyr s'est bâti une forteresse ; Elle a amassé l'argent comme la poussière, Et l'or comme la boue des rues.

WLC ³ וַתִּ֥בֶן צֹ֛ר מָצ֖וֹר לָ֑הּ וַתִּצְבָּר־ כֶּ֙סֶף֙ כֶּֽעָפָ֔ר וְחָר֖וּץ כְּטִ֥יט חוּצֽוֹת׃

KJV ⁴ Behold, the LORD will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

LSG ⁴ Voici, le Seigneur s'en emparera, Il précipitera sa puissance dans la mer, Et elle sera consumée par le feu.

WLC ⁴ הִנֵּ֤ה אֲדֹנָי֙ יֽוֹרִשֶׁ֔נָּה וְהִכָּ֥ה בַיָּ֖ם חֵילָ֑הּ וְהִ֖יא בָּאֵ֥שׁ תֵּאָכֵֽל׃

KJV ⁵ Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

LSG ⁵ Askalon le verra, et elle sera dans la crainte ; Gaza aussi, et un violent tremblement la saisira ; Ékron aussi, car son espoir sera confondu. Le roi disparaîtra de Gaza, Et Askalon ne sera plus habitée.

WLC ⁵ תֵּרֶ֨א אַשְׁקְל֜וֹן וְתִירָ֗א וְעַזָּה֙ וְתָחִ֣יל מְאֹ֔ד וְעֶקְר֖וֹן כִּֽי־ הֹבִ֣ישׁ מֶבָּטָ֑הּ וְאָ֤בַד מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ מֵֽעַזָּ֔ה וְאַשְׁקְל֖וֹן לֹ֥א תֵשֵֽׁב׃

KJV ⁶ And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

LSG ⁶ L'étranger s'établira dans Asdod, Et j'abattrai l'orgueil des Philistins.

WLC ⁶ וְיָשַׁ֥ב מַמְזֵ֖ר בְּאַשְׁדּ֑וֹד וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י גְּא֥וֹן פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃

KJV ⁷ And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

LSG ⁷ J'ôterai le sang de sa bouche, Et les abominations d'entre ses dents ; Lui aussi restera pour notre Dieu ; Il sera comme un chef en Juda, Et Ékron sera comme les Jébusiens.

WLC ⁷ וַהֲסִרֹתִ֨י דָמָ֜יו מִפִּ֗יו וְשִׁקֻּצָיו֙ מִבֵּ֣ין שִׁנָּ֔יו וְנִשְׁאַ֥ר גַּם־ ה֖וּא לֵֽאלֹהֵ֑ינוּ וְהָיָה֙ כְּאַלֻּ֣ף בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה וְעֶקְר֖וֹן כִּיבוּסִֽי׃

KJV ⁸ And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

LSG ⁸ Je camperai autour de ma maison pour la défendre contre une armée, Contre les allants et les venants, Et l'oppresseurs ne passera plus près d'eux ; Car maintenant mes yeux sont fixés sur elle.

WLC ⁸ וְחָנִ֨יתִי לְבֵיתִ֤י מִצָּבָה֙ מֵעֹבֵ֣ר וּמִשָּׁ֔ב וְלֹֽא־ יַעֲבֹ֧ר עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם ע֖וֹד נֹגֵ֑שׂ כִּ֥י עַתָּ֖ה רָאִ֥יתִי בְעֵינָֽי׃

KJV ⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

LSG ⁹ Sois transportée d'allégresse, fille de Sion ! Pousse des cris de joie, fille de Jérusalem ! Voici, ton roi vient à toi ; Il est juste et victorieux, Il est humble et monté sur un âne, Sur un âne, le petit d'une ânesse.

WLC ⁹ גִּילִ֨י מְאֹ֜ד בַּת־ צִיּ֗וֹן הָרִ֙יעִי֙ בַּ֣ת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם הִנֵּ֤ה מַלְכֵּךְ֙ יָ֣בוֹא לָ֔ךְ צַדִּ֥יק וְנוֹשָׁ֖ע ה֑וּא עָנִי֙ וְרֹכֵ֣ב עַל־ חֲמ֔וֹר וְעַל־ עַ֖יִר בֶּן־ אֲתֹנֽוֹת׃

KJV ¹⁰ And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.

LSG ¹⁰ Je détruirai les chars d'Éphraïm, Et les chevaux de Jérusalem ; Et les arcs de guerre seront anéantis. Il annoncera la paix aux nations, Et il dominera d'une mer à l'autre, Depuis le fleuve jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre.

KJV ¹¹ As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

LSG ¹¹ Et pour toi, à cause de ton alliance scellée par le sang, Je retirerai tes captifs de la fosse où il n'y a pas d'eau.

WLC ¹¹ גַּם־ אַ֣תְּ בְּדַם־ בְּרִיתֵ֗ךְ שִׁלַּ֤חְתִּי אֲסִירַ֙יִךְ֙ מִבּ֔וֹר אֵ֥ין מַ֖יִם בּֽוֹ׃

KJV ¹² Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

LSG ¹² Retournez à la forteresse, captifs pleins d'espérance ! Aujourd'hui encore je le déclare, Je te rendrai le double.

KJV ¹³ When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

LSG ¹³ Car je bande Juda comme un arc, Je m'arme d'Éphraïm comme d'un arc, Et je soulèverai tes enfants, ô Sion, Contre tes enfants, ô Javan ! Je te rendrai pareille à l'épée d'un vaillant homme.

KJV ¹⁴ And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

LSG ¹⁴ L'Éternel au-dessus d'eux apparaîtra, Et sa flèche partira comme l'éclair ; Le Seigneur, l'Éternel, sonnera de la trompette, Il s'avancera dans l'ouragan du midi.

KJV ¹⁵ The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.

LSG ¹⁵ L'Éternel des armées les protégera ; Ils dévoreront, ils vaincront les pierres de la fronde ; Ils boiront, ils seront bruyants comme pris de vin ; Ils seront pleins comme une coupe, Comme les coins de l'autel.

KJV ¹⁶ And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

LSG ¹⁶ L'Éternel, leur Dieu, les sauvera en ce jour-là, Comme le troupeau de son peuple ; Car ils sont les pierres d'un diadème, Qui brilleront dans son pays.

WLC ¹⁶ וְֽהוֹשִׁיעָ֞ם יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֛ם בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא כְּצֹ֣אן עַמּ֑וֹ כִּ֚י אַבְנֵי־ נֵ֔זֶר מִֽתְנוֹסְס֖וֹת עַל־ אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃

KJV ¹⁷ For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

LSG ¹⁷ Oh ! quelle prospérité pour eux ! quelle beauté ! Le froment fera croître les jeunes hommes, Et le moût les jeunes filles.

KJV ¹ Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

LSG ¹ Demandez à l'Éternel la pluie, la pluie du printemps ! L'Éternel produira des éclairs, Et il vous enverra une abondante pluie, Il donnera à chacun de l'herbe dans son champ.

WLC ¹ שַׁאֲל֨וּ מֵיְהוָ֤ה מָטָר֙ בְּעֵ֣ת מַלְק֔וֹשׁ יְהוָ֖ה עֹשֶׂ֣ה חֲזִיזִ֑ים וּמְטַר־ גֶּ֙שֶׁם֙ יִתֵּ֣ן לָהֶ֔ם לְאִ֖ישׁ עֵ֥שֶׂב בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃

KJV ² For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

LSG ² Car les théraphim ont des paroles de néant, Les devins prophétisent des faussetés, Les songes mentent et consolent par la vanité. C'est pourquoi ils sont errants comme un troupeau, Ils sont malheureux parce qu'il n'y a point de pasteur.

WLC ² כִּ֧י הַתְּרָפִ֣ים דִּבְּרוּ־ אָ֗וֶן וְהַקּֽוֹסְמִים֙ חָ֣זוּ שֶׁ֔קֶר וַֽחֲלֹמוֹת֙ הַשָּׁ֣וא יְדַבֵּ֔רוּ הֶ֖בֶל יְנַֽחֵמ֑וּן עַל־ כֵּן֙ נָסְע֣וּ כְמוֹ־ צֹ֔אן יַעֲנ֖וּ כִּֽי־ אֵ֥ין רֹעֶֽה׃

KJV ³ Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

LSG ³ Ma colère s'est enflammée contre les pasteurs, Et je châtierai les boucs ; Car l'Éternel des armées visite son troupeau, la maison de Juda, Et il en fera comme son cheval de gloire dans la bataille ;

WLC ³ עַל־ הָֽרֹעִים֙ חָרָ֣ה אַפִּ֔י וְעַל־ הָעַתּוּדִ֖ים אֶפְק֑וֹד כִּֽי־ פָקַד֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֤וֹת אֶת־ עֶדְרוֹ֙ אֶת־ בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה וְשָׂ֣ם אוֹתָ֔ם כְּס֥וּס הוֹד֖וֹ בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

KJV ⁴ Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.

LSG ⁴ De lui sortira l'angle, de lui le clou, de lui l'arc de guerre ; De lui sortiront tous les chefs ensemble.

WLC ⁴ מִמֶּ֤נּוּ פִנָּה֙ מִמֶּ֣נּוּ יָתֵ֔ד מִמֶּ֖נּוּ קֶ֣שֶׁת מִלְחָמָ֑ה מִמֶּ֛נּוּ יֵצֵ֥א כָל־ נוֹגֵ֖שׂ יַחְדָּֽו׃

KJV ⁵ And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

LSG ⁵ Ils seront comme des héros foulant dans la bataille la boue des rues ; Ils combattront, parce que l'Éternel sera avec eux ; Et ceux qui seront montés sur des chevaux seront couverts de honte.

WLC ⁵ וְהָי֨וּ כְגִבֹּרִ֜ים בּוֹסִ֨ים בְּטִ֤יט חוּצוֹת֙ בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וְנִ֨לְחֲמ֔וּ כִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה עִמָּ֑ם וְהֹבִ֖ישׁוּ רֹכְבֵ֥י סוּסִֽים׃

KJV ⁶ And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.

LSG ⁶ Je fortifierai la maison de Juda, Et je délivrerai la maison de Joseph ; Je les ramènerai, car j'ai compassion d'eux, Et ils seront comme si je ne les avais pas rejetés ; Car je suis l'Éternel, leur Dieu, et je les exaucerai.

WLC ⁶ וְגִבַּרְתִּ֣י ׀ אֶת־ בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֗ה וְאֶת־ בֵּ֤ית יוֹסֵף֙ אוֹשִׁ֔יעַ וְהֽוֹשְׁבוֹתִים֙ כִּ֣י רִֽחַמְתִּ֔ים וְהָי֖וּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־ זְנַחְתִּ֑ים כִּ֗י אֲנִ֛י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם וְאֶעֱנֵֽם׃

KJV ⁷ And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.

LSG ⁷ Éphraïm sera comme un héros ; Leur coeur aura la joie que donne le vin ; Leurs fils le verront et seront dans l'allégresse, Leur coeur se réjouira en l'Éternel.

WLC ⁷ וְהָי֤וּ כְגִבּוֹר֙ אֶפְרַ֔יִם וְשָׂמַ֥ח לִבָּ֖ם כְּמוֹ־ יָ֑יִן וּבְנֵיהֶם֙ יִרְא֣וּ וְשָׂמֵ֔חוּ יָגֵ֥ל לִבָּ֖ם בַּיהוָֽה׃

KJV ⁸ I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

LSG ⁸ Je les sifflerai et les rassemblerai, car je les rachète, Et ils multiplieront comme ils multipliaient.

KJV ⁹ And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.

LSG ⁹ Je les disperserai parmi les peuples, Et au loin ils se souviendront de moi ; Ils vivront avec leurs enfants, et ils reviendront.

WLC ⁹ וְאֶזְרָעֵם֙ בָּֽעַמִּ֔ים וּבַמֶּרְחַקִּ֖ים יִזְכְּר֑וּנִי וְחָי֥וּ אֶת־ בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם וָשָֽׁבוּ׃

KJV ¹⁰ I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.

LSG ¹⁰ Je les ramènerai du pays d'Égypte, Et je les rassemblerai de l'Assyrie ; Je les ferai venir au pays de Galaad et au Liban, Et l'espace ne leur suffira pas.

KJV ¹¹ And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.

LSG ¹¹ Il passera la mer de détresse, il frappera les flots de la mer, Et toutes les profondeurs du fleuve seront desséchées ; L'orgueil de l'Assyrie sera abattu, Et le sceptre de l'Égypte disparaîtra.

KJV ¹² And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.

KJV ¹ Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.

KJV ² Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.

LSG ² Gémis, cyprès, car le cèdre est tombé, Ceux qui s'élevaient sont détruits ! Gémissez, chênes de Basan, Car la forêt inaccessible est renversée !

WLC ² הֵילֵ֤ל בְּרוֹשׁ֙ כִּֽי־ נָ֣פַל אֶ֔רֶז אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַדִּרִ֖ים שֻׁדָּ֑דוּ הֵילִ֙ילוּ֙ אַלּוֹנֵ֣י בָשָׁ֔ן כִּ֥י יָרַ֖ד יַ֥עַר

KJV ³ There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.

LSG ³ Les bergers poussent des cris lamentables, Parce que leur magnificence est détruite ; Les lionceaux rugissent, Parce que l'orgueil du Jourdain est abattu.

WLC ³ ק֚וֹל יִֽלְלַ֣ת הָרֹעִ֔ים כִּ֥י שֻׁדְּדָ֖ה אַדַּרְתָּ֑ם ק֚וֹל שַׁאֲגַ֣ת כְּפִירִ֔ים כִּ֥י שֻׁדַּ֖ד גְּא֥וֹן הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

KJV ⁴ Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;

WLC ⁴ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑י רְעֵ֖ה אֶת־ צֹ֥אן הַהֲרֵגָֽה׃

KJV ⁵ Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.

LSG ⁵ Ceux qui les achètent les égorgent impunément ; Celui qui les vend dit: Béni soit l'Éternel, car je m'enrichis ! Et leurs pasteurs ne les épargnent pas.

WLC ⁵ אֲשֶׁ֨ר קֹנֵיהֶ֤ן יַֽהֲרְגֻן֙ וְלֹ֣א יֶאְשָׁ֔מוּ וּמֹכְרֵיהֶ֣ן יֹאמַ֔ר בָּר֥וּךְ יְהוָ֖ה וַאעְשִׁ֑ר וְרֹ֣עֵיהֶ֔ם לֹ֥א יַחְמ֖וֹל עֲלֵיהֶֽן׃

KJV ⁶ For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.

LSG ⁶ Car je n'ai plus de pitié pour les habitants du pays, Dit l'Éternel ; Et voici, je livre les hommes Aux mains les uns des autres et aux mains de leur roi ; Ils ravageront le pays, Et je ne délivrerai pas de leurs mains.

KJV ⁷ And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.

LSG ⁷ Alors je me mis à paître les brebis destinées à la boucherie, assurément les plus misérables du troupeau. Je pris deux houlettes: j'appelai l'une Grâce, et j'appelai l'autre Union. Et je fis paître les brebis.

WLC ⁷ וָֽאֶרְעֶה֙ אֶת־ צֹ֣אן הַֽהֲרֵגָ֔ה לָכֵ֖ן עֲנִיֵּ֣י הַצֹּ֑אן וָאֶקַּֽח־ לִ֞י שְׁנֵ֣י מַקְל֗וֹת לְאַחַ֞ד קָרָ֤אתִי נֹ֙עַם֙ וּלְאַחַד֙ קָרָ֣אתִי חֹֽבְלִ֔ים וָאֶרְעֶ֖ה אֶת־ הַצֹּֽאן׃

KJV ⁸ Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

LSG ⁸ J'exterminerai les trois pasteurs en un mois ; mon âme était impatiente à leur sujet, et leur âme avait aussi pour moi du dégoût.

WLC ⁸ וָאַכְחִ֛ד אֶת־ שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת הָרֹעִ֖ים בְּיֶ֣רַח אֶחָ֑ד וַתִּקְצַ֤ר נַפְשִׁי֙ בָּהֶ֔ם וְגַם־ נַפְשָׁ֖ם בָּחֲלָ֥ה בִֽי׃

KJV ⁹ Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.

LSG ⁹ Et je dis: Je ne vous paîtrai plus ! Que celle qui va mourir meure, que celle qui va périr périsse, et que celles qui restent se dévorent les unes les autres !

WLC ⁹ וָאֹמַ֕ר לֹ֥א אֶרְעֶ֖ה אֶתְכֶ֑ם הַמֵּתָ֣ה תָמ֗וּת וְהַנִּכְחֶ֙דֶת֙ תִּכָּחֵ֔ד וְהַ֨נִּשְׁאָר֔וֹת תֹּאכַ֕לְנָה אִשָּׁ֖ה אֶת־ בְּשַׂ֥ר רְעוּתָֽהּ׃

KJV ¹⁰ And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

LSG ¹⁰ Je pris ma houlette Grâce, et je la brisai, pour rompre mon alliance que j'avais traitée avec tous les peuples.

WLC ¹⁰ וָאֶקַּ֤ח אֶת־ מַקְלִי֙ אֶת־ נֹ֔עַם וָאֶגְדַּ֖ע אֹת֑וֹ לְהָפֵיר֙ אֶת־ בְּרִיתִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר כָּרַ֖תִּי אֶת־ כָּל־ הָעַמִּֽים׃

KJV ¹¹ And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.

LSG ¹¹ Elle fut rompue ce jour-là ; et les malheureuses brebis, qui prirent garde à moi, reconnurent ainsi que c'était la parole de l'Éternel.

WLC ¹¹ וַתֻּפַ֖ר בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא וַיֵּדְע֨וּ כֵ֜ן עֲנִיֵּ֤י הַצֹּאן֙ הַשֹּׁמְרִ֣ים אֹתִ֔י כִּ֥י דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה הֽוּא׃

KJV ¹² And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.

LSG ¹² Je leur dis: Si vous le trouvez bon, donnez-moi mon salaire ; sinon, ne le donnez pas. Et ils pesèrent pour mon salaire trente sicles d'argent.

WLC ¹² וָאֹמַ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם אִם־ ט֧וֹב בְּעֵינֵיכֶ֛ם הָב֥וּ שְׂכָרִ֖י וְאִם־ לֹ֣א ׀ חֲדָ֑לוּ וַיִּשְׁקְל֥וּ אֶת־ שְׂכָרִ֖י שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים כָּֽסֶף׃

KJV ¹³ And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.

LSG ¹³ L'Éternel me dit: Jette-le au potier, ce prix magnifique auquel ils m'ont estimé ! Et je pris les trente sicles d'argent, et je les jetai dans la maison de l'Éternel, pour le potier.

KJV ¹⁴ Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

KJV ¹⁵ And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

KJV ¹⁶ For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.

LSG ¹⁶ Car voici, je susciterai dans le pays un pasteur qui n'aura pas souci des brebis qui périssent ; il n'ira pas à la recherche des plus jeunes, il ne guérira pas les blessées, il ne soignera pas les saines ; mais il dévorera la chair des plus grasses, et il déchirera jusqu'aux cornes de leurs pieds.

KJV ¹⁷ Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

KJV ¹ The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

KJV ² Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

KJV ³ And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

KJV ⁴ In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

KJV ⁵ And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

WLC ⁵ וְאָֽמְר֛וּ אַלֻּפֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה בְּלִבָּ֑ם אַמְצָ֥ה לִי֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם בַּיהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃

KJV ⁶ In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

LSG ⁶ En ce jour-là, je ferai des chefs de Juda Comme un foyer ardent parmi du bois, Comme une torche enflammée parmi des gerbes ; Ils dévoreront à droite et à gauche tous les peuples d'alentour, Et Jérusalem restera à sa place, à Jérusalem.

KJV ⁷ The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

LSG ⁷ L'Éternel sauvera d'abord les tentes de Juda, Afin que la gloire de la maison de David, La gloire des habitants de Jérusalem ne s'élève pas au-dessus de Juda.

KJV ⁸ In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

KJV ⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

KJV ¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

LSG ¹⁰ Alors je répandrai sur la maison de David et sur les habitants de Jérusalem Un esprit de grâce et de supplication, Et ils tourneront les regards vers moi, celui qu'ils ont percé. Ils pleureront sur lui comme on pleure sur un fils unique, Ils pleureront amèrement sur lui comme on pleure sur un premier-né.

WLC ¹⁰ וְשָׁפַכְתִּי֩ עַל־ בֵּ֨ית דָּוִ֜יד וְעַ֣ל ׀ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם ר֤וּחַ חֵן֙ וְתַ֣חֲנוּנִ֔ים וְהִבִּ֥יטוּ אֵלַ֖י אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־ דָּקָ֑רוּ וְסָפְד֣וּ עָלָ֗יו כְּמִסְפֵּד֙ עַל־ הַיָּחִ֔יד וְהָמֵ֥ר עָלָ֖יו כְּהָמֵ֥ר עַֽל־ הַבְּכֽוֹר׃

KJV ¹¹ In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

KJV ¹ In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

KJV ² And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

KJV ³ And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.

LSG ³ Si quelqu'un prophétise encore, Son père et sa mère, qui l'ont engendré, lui diront: Tu ne vivras pas, car tu dis des mensonges au nom de l'Éternel ! Et son père et sa mère, qui l'ont engendré, le transperceront Quand il prophétisera.

KJV ⁴ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:

KJV ⁵ But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

KJV ⁶ And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

WLC ⁶ וְאָמַ֣ר אֵלָ֔יו מָ֧ה הַמַּכּ֛וֹת הָאֵ֖לֶּה בֵּ֣ין יָדֶ֑יךָ וְאָמַ֕ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֻכֵּ֖יתִי בֵּ֥ית מְאַהֲבָֽי׃

KJV ⁷ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

LSG ⁷ Épée, lève-toi sur mon pasteur Et sur l'homme qui est mon compagnon ! Dit l'Éternel des armées. Frappe le pasteur, et que les brebis se dispersent ! Et je tournerai ma main vers les faibles.

WLC ⁷ חֶ֗רֶב עוּרִ֤י עַל־ רֹעִי֙ וְעַל־ גֶּ֣בֶר עֲמִיתִ֔י נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת הַ֤ךְ אֶת־ הָֽרֹעֶה֙ וּתְפוּצֶ֣יןָ הַצֹּ֔אן וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֥י יָדִ֖י עַל־ הַצֹּעֲרִֽים׃

KJV ⁸ And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

WLC ⁸ וְהָיָ֤ה בְכָל־ הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה פִּֽי־ שְׁנַ֣יִם בָּ֔הּ יִכָּרְת֖וּ יִגְוָ֑עוּ וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֖ית יִוָּ֥תֶר בָּֽהּ׃

KJV ⁹ And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

LSG ⁹ Je mettrai ce tiers dans le feu, Et je le purifierai comme on purifie l'argent, Je l'éprouverai comme on éprouve l'or. Il invoquera mon nom, et je l'exaucerai ; Je dirai: C'est mon peuple ! Et il dira: L'Éternel est mon Dieu !

WLC ⁹ וְהֵבֵאתִ֤י אֶת־ הַשְּׁלִשִׁית֙ בָּאֵ֔שׁ וּצְרַפְתִּים֙ כִּצְרֹ֣ף אֶת־ הַכֶּ֔סֶף וּבְחַנְתִּ֖ים כִּבְחֹ֣ן אֶת־ הַזָּהָ֑ב ה֣וּא ׀ יִקְרָ֣א בִשְׁמִ֗י וַֽאֲנִי֙ אֶעֱנֶ֣ה אֹת֔וֹ אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ עַמִּ֣י ה֔וּא וְה֥וּא יֹאמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃

KJV ¹ Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

KJV ² For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

LSG ² Je rassemblerai toutes les nations pour qu'elles attaquent Jérusalem ; La ville sera prise, les maisons seront pillées, et les femmes violées ; La moitié de la ville ira en captivité, Mais le reste du peuple ne sera pas exterminé de la ville.

WLC ² וְאָסַפְתִּ֨י אֶת־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם ׀ אֶֽל־ יְרוּשָׁלִַם֮ לַמִּלְחָמָה֒ וְנִלְכְּדָ֣ה הָעִ֗יר וְנָשַׁ֙סּוּ֙ הַבָּ֣תִּ֔ים וְהַנָּשִׁ֖ים וְיָצָ֞א חֲצִ֤י הָעִיר֙ בַּגּוֹלָ֔ה וְיֶ֣תֶר הָעָ֔ם לֹ֥א יִכָּרֵ֖ת מִן־ הָעִֽיר׃

KJV ³ Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

KJV ⁴ And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

LSG ⁴ Ses pieds se poseront en ce jour sur la montagne des oliviers, Qui est vis-à-vis de Jérusalem, du côté de l'orient ; La montagne des oliviers se fendra par le milieu, à l'orient et à l'occident, Et il se formera une très grande vallée: Une moitié de la montagne reculera vers le septentrion, Et une moitié vers le midi.

WLC ⁴ וְעָמְד֣וּ רַגְלָ֣יו בַּיּוֹם־ הַ֠הוּא עַל־ הַ֨ר הַזֵּתִ֜ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלִַם֮ מִקֶּדֶם֒ וְנִבְקַע֩ הַ֨ר הַזֵּיתִ֤ים מֵֽחֶצְיוֹ֙ מִזְרָ֣חָה וָיָ֔מָּה גֵּ֖יא גְּדוֹלָ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וּמָ֨שׁ חֲצִ֥י הָהָ֛ר צָפ֖וֹנָה וְחֶצְיוֹ־ נֶֽגְבָּה׃

KJV ⁵ And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

LSG ⁵ Vous fuirez alors dans la vallée de mes montagnes, Car la vallée des montagnes s'étendra jusqu'à Atzel ; Vous fuirez comme vous avez fui devant le tremblement de terre, Au temps d'Ozias, roi de Juda. Et l'Éternel, mon Dieu, viendra, et tous ses saints avec lui.

WLC ⁵ וְנַסְתֶּ֣ם גֵּֽיא־ הָרַ֗י כִּֽי־ יַגִּ֣יעַ גֵּי־ הָרִים֮ אֶל־ אָצַל֒ וְנַסְתֶּ֗ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר נַסְתֶּם֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י הָרַ֔עַשׁ בִּימֵ֖י עֻזִּיָּ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָ֑ה וּבָא֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהַ֔י כָּל־ קְדֹשִׁ֖ים עִמָּֽךְ׃

KJV ⁶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

LSG ⁶ En ce jour-là, il n'y aura point de lumière ; Il y aura du froid et de la glace.

WLC ⁶ וְהָיָ֖ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא לֹֽא־ יִהְיֶ֣ה א֔וֹר יְקָר֖וֹת

KJV ⁷ But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

LSG ⁷ Ce sera un jour unique, connu de l'Éternel, Et qui ne sera ni jour ni nuit ; Mais vers le soir la lumière paraîtra.

WLC ⁷ וְהָיָ֣ה יוֹם־ אֶחָ֗ד ה֛וּא יִוָּדַ֥ע לַֽיהוָ֖ה לֹא־ י֣וֹם וְלֹא־ לָ֑יְלָה וְהָיָ֥ה לְעֵֽת־ עֶ֖רֶב יִֽהְיֶה־ אֽוֹר׃

KJV ⁸ And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

LSG ⁸ En ce jour-là, des eaux vives sortiront de Jérusalem, Et couleront moitié vers la mer orientale, Moitié vers la mer occidentale ; Il en sera ainsi été et hiver.

WLC ⁸ וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יֵצְא֤וּ מַֽיִם־ חַיִּים֙ מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם חֶצְיָ֗ם אֶל־ הַיָּם֙ הַקַּדְמוֹנִ֔י וְחֶצְיָ֖ם אֶל־ הַיָּ֣ם הָאַחֲר֑וֹן בַּקַּ֥יִץ וּבָחֹ֖רֶף יִֽהְיֶֽה׃

KJV ⁹ And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

KJV ¹⁰ All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.

LSG ¹⁰ Tout le pays deviendra comme la plaine, de Guéba à Rimmon, Au midi de Jérusalem ; Et Jérusalem sera élevée et restera à sa place, Depuis la porte de Benjamin jusqu'au lieu de la première porte, Jusqu'à la porte des angles, Et depuis la tour de Hananeel jusqu'aux pressoirs du roi.

WLC ¹⁰ יִסּ֨וֹב כָּל־ הָאָ֤רֶץ כָּעֲרָבָה֙ מִגֶּ֣בַע לְרִמּ֔וֹן נֶ֖גֶב יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְֽרָאֲמָה֩ וְיָשְׁבָ֨ה תַחְתֶּ֜יהָ לְמִשַּׁ֣עַר בִּנְיָמִ֗ן עַד־ מְק֞וֹם שַׁ֤עַר הָֽרִאשׁוֹן֙ עַד־ שַׁ֣עַר הַפִּנִּ֔ים וּמִגְדַּ֣ל חֲנַנְאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד יִקְבֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

KJV ¹¹ And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

WLC ¹¹ וְיָ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֔הּ וְחֵ֖רֶם לֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶה־ ע֑וֹד וְיָשְׁבָ֥ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם לָבֶֽטַח׃

KJV ¹² And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

LSG ¹² Voici la plaie dont l'Éternel frappera tous les peuples Qui auront combattu contre Jérusalem: Leur chair tombera en pourriture tandis qu'ils seront sur leurs pieds, Leurs yeux tomberont en pourriture dans leurs orbites, Et leur langue tombera en pourriture dans leur bouche.

WLC ¹² וְזֹ֣את ׀ תִּֽהְיֶ֣ה הַמַּגֵּפָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִגֹּ֤ף יְהוָה֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר צָבְא֖וּ עַל־ יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם הָמֵ֣ק ׀ בְּשָׂר֗וֹ וְהוּא֙ עֹמֵ֣ד עַל־ רַגְלָ֔יו וְעֵינָיו֙ תִּמַּ֣קְנָה בְחֹֽרֵיהֶ֔ן וּלְשׁוֹנ֖וֹ תִּמַּ֥ק בְּפִיהֶֽם׃

KJV ¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

LSG ¹³ En ce jour-là, l'Éternel produira un grand trouble parmi eux ; L'un saisira la main de l'autre, Et ils lèveront la main les uns sur les autres.

WLC ¹³ וְהָיָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא תִּֽהְיֶ֧ה מְהֽוּמַת־ יְהוָ֛ה רַבָּ֖ה בָּהֶ֑ם וְהֶחֱזִ֗יקוּ אִ֚ישׁ יַ֣ד רֵעֵ֔הוּ וְעָלְתָ֥ה יָד֖וֹ עַל־ יַ֥ד רֵעֵֽהוּ׃

KJV ¹⁴ And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

LSG ¹⁴ Juda combattra aussi dans Jérusalem, Et l'on amassera les richesses de toutes les nations d'alentour, L'or, l'argent, et des vêtements en très grand nombre.

WLC ¹⁴ וְגַ֨ם־ יְהוּדָ֔ה תִּלָּחֵ֖ם בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְאֻסַּף֩ חֵ֨יל כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֜ם סָבִ֗יב זָהָ֥ב וָכֶ֛סֶף וּבְגָדִ֖ים לָרֹ֥ב מְאֹֽד׃

KJV ¹⁵ And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

KJV ¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

WLC ¹⁶ וְהָיָ֗ה כָּל־ הַנּוֹתָר֙ מִכָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם הַבָּאִ֖ים עַל־ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְעָל֞וּ מִדֵּ֧י שָׁנָ֣ה בְשָׁנָ֗ה לְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֺת֙ לְמֶ֙לֶךְ֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת וְלָחֹ֖ג אֶת־ חַ֥ג הַסֻּכּֽוֹת׃

KJV ¹⁷ And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

WLC ¹⁷ וְ֠הָיָה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־ יַעֲלֶ֜ה מֵאֵ֨ת מִשְׁפְּח֤וֹת הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶל־ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם לְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֔ת לְמֶ֖לֶךְ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת וְלֹ֥א עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם יִהְיֶ֥ה הַגָּֽשֶׁם׃

KJV ¹⁸ And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

KJV ¹⁹ This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

KJV ²⁰ In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

WLC ²⁰ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יִֽהְיֶה֙ עַל־ מְצִלּ֣וֹת הַסּ֔וּס קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָ֑ה וְהָיָ֤ה הַסִּירוֹת֙ בְּבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה כַּמִּזְרָקִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֥י הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

KJV ²¹ Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

LSG ²¹ Toute chaudière à Jérusalem et dans Juda Sera consacrée à l'Éternel des armées ; Tous ceux qui offriront des sacrifices viendront Et s'en serviront pour cuire les viandes ; Et il n'y aura plus de marchands dans la maison de l'Éternel des armées, En ce jour-là.

WLC ²¹ וְ֠הָיָה כָּל־ סִ֨יר בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֜ם וּבִֽיהוּדָ֗ה קֹ֚דֶשׁ לַיהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת וּבָ֙אוּ֙ כָּל־ הַזֹּ֣בְחִ֔ים וְלָקְח֥וּ מֵהֶ֖ם וּבִשְּׁל֣וּ בָהֶ֑ם וְלֹא־ יִהְיֶ֨ה כְנַעֲנִ֥י ע֛וֹד בְּבֵית־ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת בַּיּ֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃
