¹⁹ Or Hérode étant mort, voici un ange du Seigneur apparaît en songe à Joseph, en Egypte,
²⁰ disant : Lève-toi, prends le petit enfant et sa mère, et va au pays d'Israël ; car ceux qui cherchaient la vie du petit enfant sont morts.
²¹ S'étant donc levé, il prit le petit enfant et sa mère, et alla au pays d'Israël.
²² Mais ayant appris qu'Archélaüs régnait en Judée à la place d'Hérode son père, il craignit d'y aller ; et ayant été divinement averti en songe, il se retira dans les quartiers de la Galilée ;
²³ et y étant allé, il habita dans une ville appelée Nazareth ; afin que fût accompli ce qui avait été dit par les prophètes : Il sera appelé Nazaréen.

¹⁹ But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
²⁰ Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
²¹ And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
²² But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
²³ And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

²⁰ Et lui dit: Lève-toi, prends le petit enfant et sa mère, et retourne au pays d'Israël; car ceux qui en voulaient à la vie du petit enfant sont morts.
²¹ Joseph donc, s'étant levé, prit le petit enfant et sa mère, et s'en vint au pays d'Israël.
²² Mais comme il apprit qu'Archélaüs régnait en Judée à la place d'Hérode, son père, il craignit d'y aller, et, ayant été averti divinement en songe, il se retira dans les quartiers de la Galilée,
²³ Et alla demeurer dans une ville appelée Nazareth; de sorte que fut accompli ce qui avait été dit par les prophètes: il sera appelé Nazarien.

²⁰ dicens : Surge, et accipe puerum, et matrem ejus, et vade in terram Israël : defuncti sunt enim qui quærebant animam pueri.
²¹ Qui consurgens, accepit puerum, et matrem ejus, et venit in terram Israël.
²² Audiens autem quod Archelaus regnaret in Judæa pro Herode patre suo, timuit illo ire : et admonitus in somnis, secessit in partes Galilææ.
²³ Et veniens habitavit in civitate quæ vocatur Nazareth : ut adimpleretur quod dictum est per prophetas : Quoniam Nazaræus vocabitur.
