¹⁹ But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
²⁰ Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
²¹ And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
²² But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
²³ And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

¹⁹ Mais après qu'Hérode fut mort, voici, l'Ange du Seigneur apparut dans un songe à Joseph, en Egypte,
²⁰ Et [lui] dit : lève-toi, et prends le petit enfant, et sa mère, et t'en va au pays d'Israël ; car ceux qui cherchaient à ôter la vie au petit enfant sont morts.
²¹ Joseph donc s'étant réveillé, prit le petit enfant et sa mère, et s'en vint au pays d'Israël.
²² Mais quand il eut appris qu'Archélaüs régnait en Judée, à la place d'Hérode son père, il craignit d'y aller ; et étant divinement averti dans un songe, il se retira en Galilée.
²³ Et y étant arrivé, il habita dans la ville appelée Nazareth ; afin que fût accompli ce qui avait été dit par les Prophètes : il sera appelé Nazarien.

¹⁹ Defuncto autem Herode, ecce angelus Domini apparuit in somnis Joseph in Ægypto,
²⁰ dicens : Surge, et accipe puerum, et matrem ejus, et vade in terram Israël : defuncti sunt enim qui quærebant animam pueri.
²¹ Qui consurgens, accepit puerum, et matrem ejus, et venit in terram Israël.
²² Audiens autem quod Archelaus regnaret in Judæa pro Herode patre suo, timuit illo ire : et admonitus in somnis, secessit in partes Galilææ.
²³ Et veniens habitavit in civitate quæ vocatur Nazareth : ut adimpleretur quod dictum est per prophetas : Quoniam Nazaræus vocabitur.
