¹ Quand tu t'assieds pour manger le pain avec un gouverneur, considère bien celui qui est devant toi ;
² et mets un couteau à ta gorge, si tu es gourmand.
³ Ne désire point ses friandises, car c'est un pain trompeur.

¹ When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:
² And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
