DRB ¹⁵ outre [ce qui lui venait] des commerçants ambulants et du trafic des marchands, et de tous les rois de l'Arabie, et des gouverneurs du pays.

KJV ¹⁵ Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.

VULC ¹⁵ excepto eo quod afferebant viri qui super vectigalia erant, et negotiatores, universique scruta vendentes, et omnes reges Arabiæ, ducesque terræ.

WLC ¹⁵ לְבַד֙ מֵאַנְשֵׁ֣י הַתָּרִ֔ים וּמִסְחַ֖ר הָרֹכְלִ֑ים וְכָל־ מַלְכֵ֥י הָעֶ֖רֶב וּפַח֥וֹת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

DRB ¹⁶ Et le roi Salomon fit deux cents grands boucliers d'or battu, mettant à chaque bouclier six cents [sicles] d'or,

KJV ¹⁶ And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

VULC ¹⁶ Fecit quoque rex Salomon ducenta scuta de auro purissimo : sexcentos auri siclos dedit in laminas scuti unius.

WLC ¹⁶ וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה מָאתַ֥יִם צִנָּ֖ה זָהָ֣ב שָׁח֑וּט שֵׁשׁ־ מֵא֣וֹת זָהָ֔ב יַעֲלֶ֖ה עַל־ הַצִּנָּ֥ה הָאֶחָֽת׃

DRB ¹⁷ et trois cents petits boucliers d'or battu, mettant à chaque bouclier trois mines d'or ; et le roi les mit dans la maison de la forêt du Liban.

KJV ¹⁷ And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

VULC ¹⁷ Et trecentas peltas ex auro probato : trecentæ minæ auri unam peltam vestiebant : posuitque eas rex in domo saltus Libani.

DRB ¹⁸ Et le roi fit un grand trône d'ivoire, et le recouvrit d'or affiné :

KJV ¹⁸ Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.

VULC ¹⁸ Fecit etiam rex Salomon thronum de ebore grandem : et vestivit eum auro fulvo nimis,

WLC ¹⁸ וַיַּ֧עַשׂ הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ כִּסֵּא־ שֵׁ֖ן גָּד֑וֹל וַיְצַפֵּ֖הוּ זָהָ֥ב מוּפָֽז׃

DRB ¹⁹ le trône avait six degrés, et le haut du trône par derrière était arrondi ; et il y avait des bras d'un côté et de l'autre à l'endroit du siège, et deux lions qui se tenaient à côté des bras,

KJV ¹⁹ The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.

VULC ¹⁹ qui habebat sex gradus : et summitas throni rotunda erat in parte posteriori : et duæ manus hinc atque inde tenentes sedile : et duo leones stabant juxta manus singulas.

WLC ¹⁹ שֵׁ֧שׁ מַעֲל֣וֹת לַכִּסֵּ֗ה וְרֹאשׁ־ עָגֹ֤ל לַכִּסֵּה֙ מֵאַֽחֲרָ֔יו וְיָדֹ֛ת מִזֶּ֥ה וּמִזֶּ֖ה אֶל־ מְק֣וֹם הַשָּׁ֑בֶת וּשְׁנַ֣יִם אֲרָי֔וֹת עֹמְדִ֖ים אֵ֥צֶל הַיָּדֽוֹת׃

DRB ²⁰ et douze lions qui se tenaient là sur les six degrés, d'un côté et de l'autre : il ne s'en était point fait de pareil dans aucun royaume.

KJV ²⁰ And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

VULC ²⁰ Et duodecim leunculi stantes super sex gradus hinc atque inde : non est factum tale opus in universis regnis.

WLC ²⁰ וּשְׁנֵ֧ים עָשָׂ֣ר אֲרָיִ֗ים עֹמְדִ֥ים שָׁ֛ם עַל־ שֵׁ֥שׁ הַֽמַּעֲל֖וֹת מִזֶּ֣ה וּמִזֶּ֑ה לֹֽא־ נַעֲשָׂ֥ה כֵ֖ן לְכָל־ מַמְלָכֽוֹת׃

DRB ²¹ Et tous les vases à boire du roi Salomon étaient d'or, et tous les vases de la maison de la forêt du Liban, d'or pur : aucun n'était d'argent, il n'était compté pour rien aux jours de Salomon.

KJV ²¹ And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

DRB ²² Car la flotte de Tarsis qu'avait le roi, tenait la mer avec la flotte de Hiram ; une fois tous les trois ans la flotte de Tarsis venait, apportant de l'or et de l'argent, de l'ivoire*, et des singes et des paons.

KJV ²² For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

VULC ²² quia classis regis per mare cum classe Hiram semel per tres annos ibat in Tharsis, deferens inde aurum, et argentum, et dentes elephantorum, et simias, et pavos.

DRB ²³ Et le roi Salomon fut plus grand que tous les rois de la terre, en richesse et en sagesse.

KJV ²³ So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.

VULC ²³ Magnificatus est ergo rex Salomon super omnes reges terræ divitiis et sapientia.

WLC ²³ וַיִּגְדַּל֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה מִכֹּ֖ל מַלְכֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ לְעֹ֖שֶׁר וּלְחָכְמָֽה׃

DRB ²⁴ Et toute la terre recherchait la face de Salomon, pour entendre sa sagesse, que Dieu avait mise dans son cœur.

KJV ²⁴ And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

VULC ²⁴ Et universa terra desiderabat vultum Salomonis, ut audiret sapientiam ejus, quam dederat Deus in corde ejus.

WLC ²⁴ וְכָ֨ל־ הָאָ֔רֶץ מְבַקְשִׁ֖ים אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה לִשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ אֶת־ חָכְמָת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁר־ נָתַ֥ן אֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּלִבּֽוֹ׃

DRB ²⁵ Et ils apportaient chacun son présent : des vases d'argent et des vases d'or, et des vêtements, et des armes, et des aromates, des chevaux et des mulets : chaque année le tribut* de l'année.

KJV ²⁵ And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

VULC ²⁵ Et singuli deferebant ei munera, vasa argentea et aurea, vestes et arma bellica, aromata quoque, et equos et mulos per annos singulos.

WLC ²⁵ וְהֵ֣מָּה מְבִאִ֣ים אִ֣ישׁ מִנְחָת֡וֹ כְּלֵ֣י כֶסֶף֩ וּכְלֵ֨י זָהָ֤ב וּשְׂלָמוֹת֙ וְנֵ֣שֶׁק וּבְשָׂמִ֔ים סוּסִ֖ים וּפְרָדִ֑ים דְּבַר־ שָׁנָ֖ה בְּשָׁנָֽה׃

DRB ²⁶ Et Salomon rassembla des chars et des cavaliers ; et il eut mille quatre cents chars, et douze mille cavaliers ; et il les plaça dans les villes à chars et auprès du roi à Jérusalem.

KJV ²⁶ And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.

VULC ²⁶ Congregavitque Salomon currus et equites, et facti sunt ei mille quadringenti currus, et duodecim millia equitum : et disposuit eos per civitates munitas, et cum rege in Jerusalem.

WLC ²⁶ וַיֶּאֱסֹ֣ף שְׁלֹמֹה֮ רֶ֣כֶב וּפָרָשִׁים֒ וַיְהִי־ ל֗וֹ אֶ֤לֶף וְאַרְבַּע־ מֵאוֹת֙ רֶ֔כֶב וּשְׁנֵים־ עָשָׂ֥ר אֶ֖לֶף פָּֽרָשִׁ֑ים וַיַּנְחֵם֙ בְּעָרֵ֣י הָרֶ֔כֶב וְעִם־ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

DRB ²⁷ Et le roi fit que l'argent, dans Jérusalem, était comme les pierres, et il fit que les cèdres étaient, en quantité, comme les sycomores qui sont dans le pays plat.

KJV ²⁷ And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.

VULC ²⁷ Fecitque ut tanta esset abundantia argenti in Jerusalem, quanta et lapidum : et cedrorum præbuit multitudinem quasi sycomoros quæ nascuntur in campestribus.

WLC ²⁷ וַיִּתֵּ֨ן הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ אֶת־ הַכֶּ֛סֶף בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם כָּאֲבָנִ֑ים וְאֵ֣ת הָאֲרָזִ֗ים נָתַ֛ן כַּשִּׁקְמִ֥ים אֲשֶׁר־ בַּשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה לָרֹֽב׃

DRB ²⁸ Et quant aux chevaux de Salomon, il les tirait d'Égypte : une caravane de marchands du roi prenait un convoi [de chevaux] pour un certain prix ;

KJV ²⁸ And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

VULC ²⁸ Et educebantur equi Salomoni de Ægypto, et de Coa. Negotiatores enim regis emebant de Coa, et statuto pretio perducebant.

WLC ²⁸ וּמוֹצָ֧א הַסּוּסִ֛ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לִשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם וּמִקְוֵ֕ה סֹחֲרֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ יִקְח֥וּ מִקְוֵ֖ה בִּמְחִֽיר׃

DRB ²⁹ et un char montait et sortait d'Égypte pour six cents [sicles] d'argent, et un cheval pour cent cinquante ; et on en faisait venir ainsi, par leur main, pour tous les rois des Héthiens et pour les rois de Syrie.

KJV ²⁹ And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
