KJV ² I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

MAR ² Je connais un homme en Christ il y a quatorze ans passés, (si ce fut en corps je ne sais ; si ce fut hors du corps, je ne sais ; Dieu le sait), qui a été ravi jusques au troisième Ciel.

KJV ⁴ How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

KJV ⁵ Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

MAR ⁵ Je ne me glorifierai point d'un tel homme, mais je ne me glorifierai point de moi-même, sinon dans mes infirmités.

TR1550 ⁵ ὑπὲρ τοῦ τοιούτου καυχήσομαι ὑπὲρ δὲ ἐμαυτοῦ οὐ καυχήσομαι εἰ μὴ ἐν ταῖς ἀσθενείαις μου

KJV ⁶ For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

MAR ⁶ Or quand je voudrais me glorifier, je ne serais point imprudent, car je dirais la vérité ; mais je m'en abstiens, afin que personne ne m'estime au-dessus de ce qu'il me voit être, ou de ce qu'il entend dire de moi.

TR1550 ⁶ ἐὰν γὰρ θελήσω καυχήσασθαι οὐκ ἔσομαι ἄφρων ἀλήθειαν γὰρ ἐρῶ φείδομαι δέ μή τις εἰς ἐμὲ λογίσηται ὑπὲρ ὃ βλέπει με ἢ ἀκούει τι ἐξ ἐμοῦ

KJV ⁷ And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

MAR ⁷ Mais de peur que je ne m'élevasse à cause de l'excellence des révélations, il m'a été mis une écharde en la chair, un ange de satan pour me souffleter, [ça été, dis-je], afin que je ne m'élevasse point.

TR1550 ⁷ καὶ τῇ ὑπερβολῇ τῶν ἀποκαλύψεων ἵνα μὴ ὑπεραίρωμαι ἐδόθη μοι σκόλοψ τῇ σαρκί ἄγγελος σατᾶν, ἵνα με κολαφίζῃ ἵνα μὴ ὑπεραίρωμαι

KJV ⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

MAR ⁸ C'est pourquoi j'ai prié trois fois le Seigneur, de faire que [cet ange de satan] se retirât de moi.

KJV ⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

MAR ⁹ Mais [le Seigneur] m'a dit : ma grâce te suffit : car ma vertu manifeste sa force dans l'infirmité. Je me glorifierai donc très volontiers plutôt dans mes infirmités ; afin que la vertu de Christ habite en moi.

TR1550 ⁹ καὶ εἴρηκέν μοι ἀρκεῖ σοι ἡ χάρις μου ἡ γὰρ δύναμις μου ἐν ἀσθενείᾳ τελειοῦται ἥδιστα οὖν μᾶλλον καυχήσομαι ἐν ταῖς ἀσθενείαις μου ἵνα ἐπισκηνώσῃ ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἡ δύναμις τοῦ χριστοῦ

KJV ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

MAR ¹⁰ Et à cause de cela je prends plaisir dans les infirmités, dans les injures, dans les nécessités, dans les persécutions, et dans les angoisses pour Christ : car quand je suis faible, c'est alors que je suis fort.
