DRB ¹⁸ Et il y avait là trois fils de Tseruïa, Joab, et Abishaï, et Asçaël.

KJV ¹⁸ And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel: and Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe.

NEG ¹⁸ Là se trouvaient les trois fils de Tseruja: Joab, Abischaï et Asaël. Asaël avait les pieds légers comme une gazelle des champs:

DRB ¹⁹ Et Asçaël était léger de ses pieds comme une des gazelles qui sont dans les champs. Et Asçaël poursuivit Abner, et il ne se détourna pas d'Abner pour aller à droite ou à gauche.

KJV ¹⁹ And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following Abner.

NEG ¹⁹ il poursuivit Abner, sans se détourner de lui pour aller à droite ou à gauche.

DRB ²⁰ Et Abner regarda derrière lui, et dit : Est-ce toi, Asçaël ? Et il dit : C'est moi.

KJV ²⁰ Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou Asahel? And he answered, I am.

NEG ²⁰ Abner regarda derrière lui, et dit: Est-ce toi, Asaël? Et il répondit: C'est moi.

DRB ²¹ Et Abner lui dit : Détourne-toi à droite ou à gauche, et saisis-toi de l'un des jeunes hommes et prends pour toi son armure. Mais Asçaël ne voulut pas se détourner de lui.

KJV ²¹ And Abner said to him, Turn thee aside to thy right hand or to thy left, and lay thee hold on one of the young men, and take thee his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him.

NEG ²¹ Abner lui dit: Tire à droite ou à gauche; saisis-toi de l'un de ces jeunes gens, et prends sa dépouille. Mais Asaël ne voulut point se détourner de lui.

DRB ²² Et Abner dit encore à Asçaël : Détourne-toi de moi ! Pourquoi te jetterais-je mort par terre ? Et comment lèverais-je ma face devant Joab, ton frère ?

KJV ²² And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn thee aside from following me: wherefore should I smite thee to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab thy brother?

NEG ²² Abner dit encore à Asaël: Détourne-toi de moi; pourquoi te frapperais-je et t'abattrais-je à terre? Comment ensuite lèverais-je le visage devant ton frère Joab?

DRB ²³ Mais il refusa de se détourner, et Abner le frappa au ventre avec la hampe de sa lance, et sa lance lui sortit par derrière, et il tomba là et mourut sur place. Et tous ceux qui venaient à l'endroit où Asçaël était tombé et était mort, s'arrêtaient.

KJV ²³ Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.

NEG ²³ Et Asaël refusa de se détourner. Sur quoi Abner le frappa au ventre avec l'extrémité inférieure de sa lance, et la lance sortit par derrière. Il tomba et mourut sur place. Tous ceux qui arrivaient au lieu où Asaël était tombé mort, s'y arrêtaient.

DRB ²⁴ Et Joab et Abishaï poursuivirent Abner ; et le soleil se couchait quand ils arrivèrent à la colline d'Amma, qui est devant Guiakh, sur le chemin du désert de Gabaon.

KJV ²⁴ Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.

NEG ²⁴ Joab et Abischaï poursuivirent Abner, et le soleil se couchait quand ils arrivèrent au coteau d'Amma, qui est en face de Guiach, sur le chemin du désert de Gabaon.
