KJV ¹⁶ But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

BCC ¹⁷ et leur parole se propagera comme la gangrène. De ce nombre sont Hyménée, et Philète,

KJV ¹⁷ And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

BCC ¹⁸ qui se sont écartés de la vérité, disant que la résurrection a déjà eu lieu, et qui pervertissent la foi de certains.

KJV ¹⁸ Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

BCC ¹⁹ Cependant le fondement solide (posé) par Dieu demeure ferme, portant ce sceau : le Seigneur connaît ceux qui sont à lui, et : qu'il s'éloigne de l'iniquité, celui qui prononce le nom du Seigneur !

BCC ²⁵ doux dans la réprimande des opposants, pour le cas où Dieu leur donnerait de se convertir à la connaissance de la vérité,

KJV ²⁵ In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

BCC ²⁶ et où ils recouvreraient le sens droit hors des pièges du diable, qui les a pris vivants pour (les asservir à) sa volonté.

KJV ²⁶ And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
