KJV ¹ Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

WLC ¹ שִׁמְע֞וּ אֶת־ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עַ֚ל כָּל־ הַמִּשְׁפָּחָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֧ר הֶעֱלֵ֛יתִי מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם לֵאמֹֽר׃

KJV ² You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

LSG ² Je vous ai choisis, vous seuls parmi toutes les familles de la terre ; C'est pourquoi je vous châtierai pour toutes vos iniquités.

WLC ² רַ֚ק אֶתְכֶ֣ם יָדַ֔עְתִּי מִכֹּ֖ל מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת הָאֲדָמָ֑ה עַל־ כֵּן֙ אֶפְקֹ֣ד עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם אֵ֖ת כָּל־ עֲוֺנֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃

KJV ³ Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

LSG ³ Deux hommes marchent-ils ensemble, Sans en être convenus ?

WLC ³ הֲיֵלְכ֥וּ שְׁנַ֖יִם יַחְדָּ֑ו בִּלְתִּ֖י אִם־ נוֹעָֽדוּ׃

KJV ⁴ Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

LSG ⁴ Le lion rugit-il dans la forêt, Sans avoir une proie ? Le lionceau pousse-t-il des cris du fond de sa tanière, Sans avoir fait une capture ?

WLC ⁴ הֲיִשְׁאַ֤ג אַרְיֵה֙ בַּיַּ֔עַר וְטֶ֖רֶף אֵ֣ין ל֑וֹ הֲיִתֵּ֨ן כְּפִ֤יר קוֹלוֹ֙ מִמְּעֹ֣נָת֔וֹ בִּלְתִּ֖י אִם־ לָכָֽד׃

KJV ⁵ Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

LSG ⁵ L'oiseau tombe-t-il dans le filet qui est à terre, Sans qu'il y ait un piège ? Le filet s'élève-t-il de terre, Sans qu'il y ait rien de pris ?

WLC ⁵ הֲתִפֹּ֤ל צִפּוֹר֙ עַל־ פַּ֣ח הָאָ֔רֶץ וּמוֹקֵ֖שׁ אֵ֣ין לָ֑הּ הֲיַֽעֲלֶה־ פַּח֙ מִן־ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה וְלָכ֖וֹד לֹ֥א יִלְכּֽוֹד׃

KJV ⁶ Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

LSG ⁶ Sonne-t-on de la trompette dans une ville, Sans que le peuple soit dans l'épouvante ? Arrive-t-il un malheur dans une ville, Sans que l'Éternel en soit l'auteur ?

WLC ⁶ אִם־ יִתָּקַ֤ע שׁוֹפָר֙ בְּעִ֔יר וְעָ֖ם לֹ֣א יֶחֱרָ֑דוּ אִם־ תִּהְיֶ֤ה רָעָה֙ בְּעִ֔יר וַיהוָ֖ה לֹ֥א עָשָֽׂה׃

KJV ⁷ Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

LSG ⁷ Car le Seigneur, l'Éternel, ne fait rien Sans avoir révélé son secret à ses serviteurs les prophètes.

WLC ⁷ כִּ֣י לֹ֧א יַעֲשֶׂ֛ה אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִ֖ה דָּבָ֑ר כִּ֚י אִם־ גָּלָ֣ה סוֹד֔וֹ אֶל־ עֲבָדָ֖יו הַנְּבִיאִֽים׃

KJV ⁸ The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

LSG ⁸ Le lion rugit: qui ne serait effrayé ? Le Seigneur, l'Éternel, parle: qui ne prophétiserait ?

WLC ⁸ אַרְיֵ֥ה שָׁאָ֖ג מִ֣י לֹ֣א יִירָ֑א אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהוִה֙ דִּבֶּ֔ר מִ֖י לֹ֥א יִנָּבֵֽא׃
