BAN ¹ Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse, disant :

VULC ¹ Locutus est autem Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :

BAN ² Parle aux fils d'Israël et dis-leur de retourner et de camper devant Pi-Hahiroth, entre Migdol et la mer ; vous camperez devant Baal-Tséphon, en face de ce lieu-là, au bord de la mer.

KJV ² Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.

VULC ² Loquere filiis Israël : Reversi castrametentur e regione Phihahiroth, quæ est inter Magdalum et mare contra Beelsephon : in conspectu ejus castra ponetis super mare.

BAN ³ Et Pharaon dira des fils d'Israël : Ils sont égarés dans le pays ; le désert les tient enfermés.

KJV ³ For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.

VULC ³ Dicturusque est Pharao super filiis Israël : Coarctati sunt in terra ; conclusit eos desertum.

BAN ⁴ Et j'endurcirai le coeur de Pharaon et il les poursuivra, et je triompherai de Pharaon et de toute son armée, et l'Egypte saura que je suis l'Eternel.
Et les fils d'Israël firent ainsi.

KJV ⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

VULC ⁴ Et indurabo cor ejus, ac persequetur vos : et glorificabor in Pharaone, et in omni exercitu ejus ; scientque Ægyptii quia ego sum Dominus. Feceruntque ita.

BAN ⁵ On annonça au roi d'Egypte que le peuple s'était enfui, et Pharaon et ses serviteurs changèrent de sentiment à l'égard du peuple et ils dirent : Qu'avons-nous fait de laisser aller Israël pour ne plus nous servir ?

KJV ⁵ And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?

VULC ⁵ Et nuntiatum est regi Ægyptiorum quod fugisset populus : immutatumque est cor Pharaonis et servorum ejus super populo, et dixerunt : Quid voluimus facere ut dimitteremus Israël, ne serviret nobis ?

BAN ⁶ Et Pharaon attela son char et prit ses troupes avec lui :

KJV ⁶ And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:

VULC ⁶ Junxit ergo currum, et omnem populum suum assumpsit secum.

BAN ⁷ il prit six cents chars d'élite et tous les chars d'Egypte ; sur chacun étaient des officiers.

KJV ⁷ And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.

VULC ⁷ Tulitque sexcentos currus electos, et quidquid in Ægypto curruum fuit : et duces totius exercitus.

BAN ⁸ Et l'Eternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, roi d'Egypte, et il alla à la poursuite des fils d'Israël ; car les fils d'Israël partaient tête levée.

KJV ⁸ And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.

VULC ⁸ Induravitque Dominus cor Pharaonis regis Ægypti, et persecutus est filios Israël : at illi egressi sunt in manu excelsa.

BAN ⁹ Les Egyptiens les poursuivirent donc et les atteignirent comme ils étaient campés au bord de la mer ; tous les attelages de Pharaon, ses cavaliers et son armée les atteignirent près de Pi-Hahiroth, devant Baal-Tséphon.

KJV ⁹ But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.

VULC ⁹ Cumque persequerentur Ægyptii vestigia præcedentium, repererunt eos in castris super mare : omnis equitatus et currus Pharaonis, et universus exercitus, erant in Phihahiroth contra Beelsephon.
