S21 ² «Je suis l'Eternel, ton Dieu, qui t'ai fait sortir d'Egypte, de la maison d'esclavage.

BCC ³ Tu n'auras pas d'autres dieux devant ma face.

KJV ³ Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

S21 ³ »Tu n'auras pas d'autres dieux devant moi.

BCC ⁴ Tu ne te feras pas d'image taillée, ni aucune figure de ce qui est en haut dans le ciel, ou de ce qui est en bas sur la terre, ou de ce qui est dans les eaux au-dessous de la terre.

KJV ⁴ Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

S21 ⁴ »Tu ne te feras pas de sculpture sacrée ni de représentation de ce qui est en haut dans le ciel, en bas sur la terre et dans l'eau plus bas que la terre.

BCC ⁵ Tu ne te prosterneras point devant elles et tu ne les serviras point. Car moi Yahweh, ton Dieu, je suis un Dieu jaloux, qui punis l'iniquité des pères sur les enfants, sur la troisième et sur la quatrième génération pour ceux qui me haïssent,

KJV ⁵ Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

S21 ⁵ Tu ne te prosterneras pas devant elles et tu ne les serviras pas, car moi, l'Eternel, ton Dieu, je suis un Dieu jaloux. Je punis la faute des pères sur les enfants jusqu'à la troisième et la quatrième génération de ceux qui me détestent,

BCC ⁶ et faisant miséricorde jusqu'à mille générations, pour ceux m'aiment et qui gardent mes commandements.

KJV ⁶ And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

S21 ⁶ et j'agis avec bonté jusqu'à 1000 générations envers ceux qui m'aiment et qui respectent mes commandements.

BCC ⁷ Tu ne prendras point le nom de Yahweh, ton Dieu, en vain, car Yahweh ne laissera pas impuni celui qui prendra son nom en vain.

KJV ⁷ Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

S21 ⁷ »Tu n'utiliseras pas le nom de l'Eternel, ton Dieu, à la légère, car l'Eternel ne laissera pas impuni celui qui utilisera son nom à la légère.

BCC ⁸ Souviens-toi du jour du sabbat pour le sanctifier.

KJV ⁸ Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

S21 ⁸ »Souviens-toi de faire du jour du repos un jour saint.

BCC ⁹ Pendant six jours tu travailleras, et tu feras tout ton ouvrage.

KJV ⁹ Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

S21 ⁹ Pendant 6 jours, tu travailleras et tu feras tout ce que tu dois faire.

BCC ¹⁰ Mais le septième jour est un sabbat consacré à Yahweh, ton Dieu : tu ne feras aucun ouvrage, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton serviteur, ni ta servante, ni ton bétail, ni l'étranger qui est dans tes portes.

KJV ¹⁰ But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

S21 ¹⁰ Mais le septième jour est le jour du repos de l'Eternel, ton Dieu. Tu ne feras aucun travail, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton esclave, ni ta servante, ni ton bétail, ni l'étranger qui habite chez toi.

BCC ¹¹ Car pendant six jours Yahweh a fait le ciel, la terre, la mer et tout ce qu'ils contiennent, et il s'est reposé le septième jour : c'est pourquoi Yahweh a béni le jour du sabbat et l'a sanctifié.

KJV ¹¹ For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

S21 ¹¹ En effet, en 6 jours l'Eternel *a fait le ciel, la terre, la mer et tout ce qui s'y trouve, et *il s'est reposé le septième jour. Voilà pourquoi l'Eternel a béni le jour du repos et en a fait un jour saint.
