BAN ¹ Et à Moïse, il lui dit : Monte vers l'Eternel, toi et Aaron, Nadab, Abihu et soixante-dix des Anciens d'Israël, et prosternez-vous de loin.

BAN ² Et Moïse seul s'approchera de l'Eternel, mais eux n'approcheront pas, et le peuple ne montera pas avec lui.

KJV ² And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.

VULC ² Solusque Moyses ascendet ad Dominum, et illi non appropinquabunt : nec populus ascendet cum eo.

WLC ² וְנִגַּ֨שׁ מֹשֶׁ֤ה לְבַדּוֹ֙ אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה וְהֵ֖ם לֹ֣א יִגָּ֑שׁוּ וְהָעָ֕ם לֹ֥א יַעֲל֖וּ עִמּֽוֹ׃

BAN ³ Et Moïse alla rapporter au peuple toutes les paroles de l'Eternel et toutes les lois. Et tout le peuple répondit d'une voix : Tout ce qu'a dit l'Eternel, nous le ferons.

KJV ³ And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.

VULC ³ Venit ergo Moyses et narravit plebi omnia verba Domini, atque judicia : responditque omnis populus una voce : Omnia verba Domini, quæ locutus est, faciemus.

BAN ⁴ Et Moïse écrivit toutes les paroles de l'Eternel, et, le lendemain, dès le matin, il érigea un autel au pied de la montagne et douze pierres pour les douze tribus d'Israël.

KJV ⁴ And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

VULC ⁴ Scripsit autem Moyses universos sermones Domini : et mane consurgens, ædificavit altare ad radices montis, et duodecim titulos per duodecim tribus Israël.

BAN ⁵ Et il envoya les jeunes gens d'Israël, et ils offrirent à l'Eternel des holocaustes et sacrifièrent des taureaux en sacrifices d'actions de grâces.

KJV ⁵ And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.

VULC ⁵ Misitque juvenes de filiis Israël, et obtulerunt holocausta, immolaveruntque victimas pacificas Domino, vitulos.

WLC ⁵ וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח אֶֽת־ נַעֲרֵי֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיַּֽעֲל֖וּ עֹלֹ֑ת וַֽיִּזְבְּח֞וּ זְבָחִ֧ים שְׁלָמִ֛ים לַיהוָ֖ה פָּרִֽים׃

BAN ⁶ Et Moïse prit la moitié du sang et la mit dans des bassins ; et l'autre moitié du sang, il l'avait répandue sur l'autel.

KJV ⁶ And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

VULC ⁶ Tulit itaque Moyses dimidiam partem sanguinis, et misit in crateras : partem autem residuam fudit super altare.

WLC ⁶ וַיִּקַּ֤ח מֹשֶׁה֙ חֲצִ֣י הַדָּ֔ם וַיָּ֖שֶׂם בָּאַגָּנֹ֑ת וַחֲצִ֣י הַדָּ֔ם זָרַ֖ק עַל־ הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

BAN ⁷ Et il prit le Livre de l'alliance et le lut au peuple. Et ils dirent : Tout ce qu'a dit l'Eternel, nous le ferons et y obéirons.

KJV ⁷ And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

VULC ⁷ Assumensque volumen fœderis, legit audiente populo : qui dixerunt : Omnia quæ locutus est Dominus, faciemus, et erimus obedientes.

WLC ⁷ וַיִּקַּח֙ סֵ֣פֶר הַבְּרִ֔ית וַיִּקְרָ֖א בְּאָזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה נַעֲשֶׂ֥ה וְנִשְׁמָֽע׃

BAN ⁸ Alors Moïse prit le sang et le répandit sur le peuple, et il dit : Voici le sang de l'alliance que l'Eternel a conclue avec vous, sur la base de toutes ces paroles-là.

KJV ⁸ And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

VULC ⁸ Ille vero sumptum sanguinem respersit in populum, et ait : Hic est sanguis fœderis quod pepigit Dominus vobiscum super cunctis sermonibus his.

BAN ⁹ Et Moïse monta avec Aaron, Nadab, Abihu et soixante-dix des Anciens d'Israël.

BAN ¹⁰ Et ils virent le Dieu d'Israël. Sous ses pieds c'était comme un pavement de saphirs et comme le ciel même pour la pureté.

KJV ¹⁰ And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

VULC ¹⁰ et viderunt Deum Israël : et sub pedibus ejus quasi opus lapidis sapphirini, et quasi cælum, cum serenum est.

WLC ¹⁰ וַיִּרְא֕וּ אֵ֖ת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְתַ֣חַת רַגְלָ֗יו כְּמַעֲשֵׂה֙ לִבְנַ֣ת הַסַּפִּ֔יר וּכְעֶ֥צֶם הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם לָטֹֽהַר׃

BAN ¹¹ Et l'Eternel ne toucha pas les élus des fils d'Israël ; ils virent Dieu et mangèrent et burent.

KJV ¹¹ And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

VULC ¹¹ Nec super eos qui procul recesserant de filiis Israël, misit manum suam, videruntque Deum, et comederunt, ac biberunt.
