KJV ¹² And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

LSG ¹² Moïse dit à l'Éternel: Voici, tu me dis: Fais monter ce peuple ! Et tu ne me fais pas connaître qui tu enverras avec moi. Cependant, tu as dit: Je te connais par ton nom, et tu as trouvé grâce à mes yeux.

MAR ¹² Moïse donc dit à l'Eternel : regarde, tu m'as dit : fais monter ce peuple, et tu ne m'as point fait connaître celui que tu dois envoyer avec moi ; tu as même dit : je te connais par ton nom, et aussi, tu as trouvé grâce devant mes yeux

KJV ¹³ Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

LSG ¹³ Maintenant, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, fais-moi connaître tes voies ; alors je te connaîtrai, et je trouverai encore grâce à tes yeux. Considère que cette nation est ton peuple.

MAR ¹³ Or maintenant, je te prie, si j'ai trouvé grâce devant tes yeux, fais-moi connaître ton chemin, et je te connaîtrai, afin que je trouve grâce devant tes yeux ; considère aussi que cette nation est ton peuple.

KJV ¹⁴ And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

LSG ¹⁴ L'Éternel répondit: Je marcherai moi-même avec toi, et je te donnerai du repos.

MAR ¹⁴ Et [l'Eternel] dit : ma face ira, et je te donnerai du repos.

KJV ¹⁵ And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

LSG ¹⁵ Moïse lui dit: Si tu ne marches pas toi-même avec nous, ne nous fais point partir d'ici.

MAR ¹⁵ Et [Moïse] lui dit : si ta face ne vient, ne nous fais point monter d'ici.

KJV ¹⁶ For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

LSG ¹⁶ Comment sera-t-il donc certain que j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, moi et ton peuple ? Ne sera-ce pas quand tu marcheras avec nous, et quand nous serons distingués, moi et ton peuple, de tous les peuples qui sont sur la face de la terre ?

MAR ¹⁶ Car en quoi connaîtra-t-on que nous ayons trouvé grâce devant tes yeux, moi et ton peuple ? Ne sera-ce pas quand tu marcheras avec nous ? et [alors] moi et ton peuple serons en admiration, plus que tous les peuples qui sont sur la terre.

KJV ¹⁷ And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

LSG ¹⁷ L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Je ferai ce que tu me demandes, car tu as trouvé grâce à mes yeux, et je te connais par ton nom.

MAR ¹⁷ Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : je ferai aussi ce que tu dis ; car tu as trouvé grâce devant mes yeux, et je t'ai connu par [ton] nom.

KJV ¹⁸ And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

LSG ¹⁸ Moïse dit: Fais-moi voir ta gloire !

MAR ¹⁸ [Moïse] dit aussi : je te prie, fais-moi voir ta gloire.

KJV ¹⁹ And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

LSG ¹⁹ L'Éternel répondit: Je ferai passer devant toi toute ma bonté, et je proclamerai devant toi le nom de l'Éternel ; je fais grâce à qui je fais grâce, et miséricorde à qui je fais miséricorde.

MAR ¹⁹ Et [Dieu] dit : je ferai passer toute ma bonté devant ta face, et je crierai le nom de l'Eternel devant toi ; et je ferai grâce à qui je ferai grâce, et j'aurai compassion de celui de qui j'aurai compassion.

KJV ²⁰ And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

LSG ²⁰ L'Éternel dit: Tu ne pourras pas voir ma face, car l'homme ne peut me voir et vivre.

MAR ²⁰ Puis il dit : tu ne pourras pas voir ma face ; car nul homme ne peut me voir, et vivre.

KJV ²¹ And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

LSG ²¹ L'Éternel dit: Voici un lieu près de moi ; tu te tiendras sur le rocher.

MAR ²¹ L'Eternel dit aussi : voici, il y a un lieu par-devers moi, et tu t'arrêteras sur le rocher ;

KJV ²² And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

LSG ²² Quand ma gloire passera, je te mettrai dans un creux du rocher, et je te couvrirai de ma main jusqu'à ce que j'aie passé.

MAR ²² Et quand ma gloire passera, je te mettrai dans l'ouverture du rocher, et te couvrirai de ma main, jusqu’à ce que je sois passé ;

KJV ²³ And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

LSG ²³ Et lorsque je retournerai ma main, tu me verras par derrière, mais ma face ne pourra pas être vue.

MAR ²³ Puis je retirerai ma main, et tu me verras par derrière, mais ma face ne se verra point.
