KJV 1 And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the LORD commanded Moses.

VULC 1 De hyacintho vero et purpura, vermiculo ac bysso, fecit vestes, quibus indueretur Aaron quando ministrabat in sanctis, sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi.

KJV 2 And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

VULC 2 Fecit igitur superhumerale de auro, hyacintho, et purpura, coccoque bis tincto, et bysso retorta,

KJV 3 And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with cunning work.

VULC 3 opere polymitario : inciditque bracteas aureas, et extenuavit in fila, ut possent torqueri cum priorum colorum subtegmine,

KJV 4 They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.

VULC 4 duasque oras sibi invicem copulatas in utroque latere summitatum,

KJV 5 And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the LORD commanded Moses.

VULC 5 et balteum ex eisdem coloribus, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

KJV 6 And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.

VULC 6 Paravit et duos lapides onychinos, astrictos et inclusos auro, et sculptos arte gemmaria nominibus filiorum Israël :

KJV 7 And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.

VULC 7 posuitque eos in lateribus superhumeralis in monimentum filiorum Israël, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

KJV 8 And he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

VULC 8 Fecit et rationale opere polymito juxta opus superhumeralis, ex auro, hyacintho, purpura, coccoque bis tincto, et bysso retorta :

KJV 9 It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.

VULC 9 quadrangulum, duplex, mensuræ palmi.

KJV 10 And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.

VULC 10 Et posuit in eo gemmarum ordines quatuor. In primo versu erat sardius, topazius, smaragdus.

KJV 11 And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

VULC 11 In secundo, carbunculus, sapphirus, et jaspis.

KJV 12 And the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

VULC 12 In tertio, ligurius, achates, et amethystus.

KJV 13 And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were inclosed in ouches of gold in their inclosings.

VULC 13 In quarto, chrysolithus, onychinus, et beryllus, circumdati et inclusi auro per ordines suos.

KJV 14 And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes.

VULC 14 Ipsique lapides duodecim sculpti erant nominibus duodecim tribuum Israël, singuli per nomina singulorum.

KJV 15 And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.

VULC 15 Fecerunt in rationali et catenulas sibi invicem cohærentes, de auro purissimo :

KJV 16 And they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate.

VULC 16 et duos uncinos, totidemque annulos aureos. Porro annulos posuerunt in utroque latere rationalis,

KJV 17 And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.

VULC 17 e quibus penderent duæ catenæ aureæ, quas inseruerunt uncinis, qui in superhumeralis angulis eminebant.

KJV 18 And the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, before it.

VULC 18 Hæc et ante et retro ita conveniebant sibi, ut superhumerale et rationale mutuo necterentur,

KJV 19 And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon the border of it, which was on the side of the ephod inward.

VULC 19 stricta ad balteum et annulis fortius copulata, quos jungebat vitta hyacinthina, ne laxa fluerent, et a se invicem moverentur, sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi.

KJV 20 And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.

VULC 20 Fecerunt quoque tunicam superhumeralis totam hyacinthinam,

KJV 21 And they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the LORD commanded Moses.

VULC 21 et capitium in superiori parte contra medium, oramque per gyrum capitii textilem :

KJV 22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.

VULC 22 deorsum autem ad pedes mala punica ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo, ac bysso retorta :

KJV 23 And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.

VULC 23 et tintinnabula de auro purissimo, quæ posuerunt inter malogranata, in extrema parte tunicæ per gyrum :

KJV 24 And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.

VULC 24 tintinnabulum autem aureum, et malum punicum, quibus ornatus incedebat pontifex quando ministerio fungebatur, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

KJV 25 And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;

VULC 25 Fecerunt et tunicas byssinas opere textili Aaron et filiis ejus :

KJV 26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses.

VULC 26 et mitras cum coronulis suis ex bysso :

KJV 27 And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,

VULC 27 feminalia quoque linea, byssina :

KJV 28 And a mitre of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen,

VULC 28 cingulum vero de bysso retorta, hyacintho, purpura, ac vermiculo bis tincto, arte plumaria, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

KJV 29 And a girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework; as the LORD commanded Moses.

VULC 29 Fecerunt et laminam sacræ venerationis de auro purissimo, scripseruntque in ea opere gemmario, Sanctum Domini :

KJV 30 And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

VULC 30 et strinxerunt eam cum mitra vitta hyacinthina, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

KJV 31 And they tied unto it a lace of blue, to fasten it on high upon the mitre; as the LORD commanded Moses.

VULC 31 Perfectum est igitur omne opus tabernaculi et tecti testimonii : feceruntque filii Israël cuncta quæ præceperat Dominus Moysi.

KJV 32 Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.

VULC 32 Et obtulerunt tabernaculum et tectum et universam supellectilem, annulos, tabulas, vectes, columnas ac bases,

KJV 33 And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,

VULC 33 opertorium de pellibus arietum rubricatis, et aliud operimentum de janthinis pellibus,

KJV 34 And the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers' skins, and the vail of the covering,

VULC 34 velum ; arcam, vectes, propitiatorium,

KJV 35 The ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the mercy seat,

VULC 35 mensam cum vasis suis et propositionis panibus ;

KJV 36 The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread,

VULC 36 candelabrum, lucernas, et utensilia earum cum oleo ;

KJV 37 The pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,

VULC 37 altare aureum, et unguentum, et thymiama ex aromatibus,

KJV 38 And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the tabernacle door,

VULC 38 et tentorium in introitu tabernaculi ;

KJV 39 The brasen altar, and his grate of brass, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,

VULC 39 altare æneum, retiaculum, vectes, et vasa ejus omnia ; labrum cum basi sua ; tentoria atrii, et columnas cum basibus suis ;

KJV 40 The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation,

VULC 40 tentorium in introitu atrii, funiculosque illius et paxillos. Nihil ex vasis defuit, quæ in ministerium tabernaculi, et in tectum fœderis jussa sunt fieri.

KJV 41 The cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons' garments, to minister in the priest's office.

VULC 41 Vestes quoque, quibus sacerdotes utuntur in sanctuario, Aaron scilicet et filii ejus,

KJV 42 According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.

VULC 42 obtulerunt filii Israël, sicut præceperat Dominus.

KJV 43 And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

VULC 43 Quæ postquam Moyses cuncta vidit completa, benedixit eis.
