BAN ²⁰ Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : Va de bon matin te placer devant Pharaon, au moment où il sort pour aller au bord de l'eau, et dis lui : Ainsi a dit l'Eternel : Laisse aller mon peuple, et qu'il me serve !

KJV ²⁰ And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

WLC ²⁰ וַיַּ֤עַשׂ יְהוָה֙ כֵּ֔ן וַיָּבֹא֙ עָרֹ֣ב כָּבֵ֔ד בֵּ֥יתָה פַרְעֹ֖ה וּבֵ֣ית עֲבָדָ֑יו וּבְכָל־ אֶ֧רֶץ מִצְרַ֛יִם תִּשָּׁחֵ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ מִפְּנֵ֥י הֶעָרֹֽב׃

BAN ²¹ Car, si tu ne laisses pas aller mon peuple, je vais envoyer les scarabées sur toi, sur tes serviteurs, sur ton peuple et sur tes maisons ; les scarabées rempliront les maisons des Egyptiens et le pays où ils sont,

KJV ²¹ Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.

WLC ²¹ וַיִּקְרָ֣א פַרְעֹ֔ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֖ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֑ן וַיֹּ֗אמֶר לְכ֛וּ זִבְח֥וּ לֵֽאלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

BAN ²² et je distinguerai en ce jour-là la terre de Gossen où habite mon peuple en ce qu'il n'y aura point là de scarabées, afin que tu saches que moi l'Eternel je suis au milieu du pays.

KJV ²² And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

WLC ²² וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֗ה לֹ֤א נָכוֹן֙ לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת כֵּ֔ן כִּ֚י תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת מִצְרַ֔יִם נִזְבַּ֖ח לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ הֵ֣ן נִזְבַּ֞ח אֶת־ תּוֹעֲבַ֥ת מִצְרַ֛יִם לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א יִסְקְלֻֽנוּ׃

BAN ²³ Ainsi je ferai une exemption qui distinguera mon peuple et ton peuple. C'est demain que ce signe aura lieu.

KJV ²³ And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.

WLC ²³ דֶּ֚רֶךְ שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֔ים נֵלֵ֖ךְ בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְזָבַ֙חְנוּ֙ לַֽיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר יֹאמַ֥ר אֵלֵֽינוּ׃

BAN ²⁴ Et l'Eternel fit ainsi. Il vint une quantité de scarabées chez Pharaon et chez ses serviteurs, et dans toute la terre d'Egypte le pays fut ravagé par les scarabées.

KJV ²⁴ And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.

WLC ²⁴ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֗ה אָנֹכִ֞י אֲשַׁלַּ֤ח אֶתְכֶם֙ וּזְבַחְתֶּ֞ם לַיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר רַ֛ק הַרְחֵ֥ק לֹא־ תַרְחִ֖יקוּ לָלֶ֑כֶת הַעְתִּ֖ירוּ בַּעֲדִֽי׃

BAN ²⁵ Et Pharaon appela Moïse et Aaron et leur dit : Allez, sacrifiez à votre Dieu dans ce pays.

KJV ²⁵ And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.

WLC ²⁵ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֗ה הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י יוֹצֵ֤א מֵֽעִמָּךְ֙ וְהַעְתַּרְתִּ֣י אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה וְסָ֣ר הֶעָרֹ֗ב מִפַּרְעֹ֛ה מֵעֲבָדָ֥יו וּמֵעַמּ֖וֹ מָחָ֑ר רַ֗ק אַל־ יֹסֵ֤ף פַּרְעֹה֙ הָתֵ֔ל לְבִלְתִּי֙ שַׁלַּ֣ח אֶת־ הָעָ֔ם לִזְבֹּ֖חַ לַֽיהוָֽה׃

BAN ²⁶ Et Moïse dit : Il ne convient pas de faire ainsi, car c'est un sacrilège pour les Egyptiens que les sacrifices que nous faisons à l'Eternel notre Dieu. Pourrions-nous faire sous les yeux des Egyptiens des sacrifices qui sont pour eux des sacrilèges sans qu'ils nous lapidassent ?

KJV ²⁶ And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?

WLC ²⁶ וַיֵּצֵ֥א מֹשֶׁ֖ה מֵעִ֣ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה וַיֶּעְתַּ֖ר אֶל־ יְהוָֽה׃

BAN ²⁷ Nous irons à trois jours de marche dans le désert et nous sacrifierons à l'Eternel notre Dieu, selon qu'il nous le dira.

KJV ²⁷ We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as he shall command us.

WLC ²⁷ וַיַּ֤עַשׂ יְהוָה֙ כִּדְבַ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיָּ֙סַר֙ הֶעָרֹ֔ב מִפַּרְעֹ֖ה מֵעֲבָדָ֣יו וּמֵעַמּ֑וֹ לֹ֥א נִשְׁאַ֖ר אֶחָֽד׃

BAN ²⁸ Et Pharaon dit : Pour moi, je vous permettrai d'aller sacrifier à l'Eternel votre Dieu dans le désert ; seulement, ne vous éloignez pas. Faites des prières pour moi !

KJV ²⁸ And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me.

WLC ²⁸ וַיַּכְבֵּ֤ד פַּרְעֹה֙ אֶת־ לִבּ֔וֹ גַּ֖ם בַּפַּ֣עַם הַזֹּ֑את וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח אֶת־ הָעָֽם׃

BAN ²⁹ Et Moïse dit : Je vais sortir, de chez toi et faire des prières à l'Eternel, et demain les scarabées se retireront de Pharaon, de ses serviteurs et de soit peuple. Seulement, que Pharaon ne recommence pas à se moquer en ne permettant pas au peuple d'aller sacrifier à l'Eternel !

KJV ²⁹ And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.

BAN ³⁰ Et Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon et fit des prières à l'Eternel,

KJV ³⁰ And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

BAN ³¹ et l'Eternel fit ce que demandait Moïse et les scarabées se retirèrent de Pharaon, de ses serviteurs et de son peuple ; il n'en resta pas un seul.

KJV ³¹ And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

BAN ³² Et Pharaon appesantit son coeur cette fois encore et ne laissa pas aller le peuple.

KJV ³² And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.
