Gn 6:1-5 (King James)

   ¹ And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, ² That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
   ³ And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
   ⁴ There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. ⁵ And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Gn 6:1-5 (Segond 21)

¹ Lorsque les hommes eurent commencé à se multiplier à la surface de la terre et que des filles leur furent nées, ² les fils de Dieu virent que les filles des hommes étaient belles et ils en prirent pour femmes parmi toutes celles qu'ils choisirent. ³ Alors l'Eternel dit: «Mon Esprit ne contestera pas toujours avec l'homme, car l'homme n'est que chair. Il vivra 120 ans.»
⁴ Il y avait des géants sur la terre à cette époque-là. Ce fut aussi le cas après que les fils de Dieu se furent unis aux filles des hommes et qu'elles leur eurent donné des enfants. C'étaient les célèbres héros de l'Antiquité.
⁵ L'Eternel vit que les hommes commettaient beaucoup de mal sur la terre et que toutes les pensées de leur cœur se portaient constamment et uniquement vers le mal.
