KJV ¹⁸ For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.

KJV ¹⁹ Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous; but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.

OST ¹⁹ Malheur à moi! Je suis brisée! Ma plaie est douloureuse! Mais moi je dis: Eh bien, c'est ma souffrance, et je la supporterai.

WLC ¹⁹ א֥וֹי לִי֙ עַל־ שִׁבְרִ֔י נַחְלָ֖ה מַכָּתִ֑י וַאֲנִ֣י אָמַ֔רְתִּי אַ֛ךְ זֶ֥ה חֳלִ֖י וְאֶשָּׂאֶֽנּוּ׃

KJV ²⁰ My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

OST ²⁰ Ma tente est détruite; tous mes cordages sont rompus; mes fils m'ont quittée, ils ne sont plus. Je n'ai personne qui dresse de nouveau ma tente, qui relève mes pavillons.

omnes funiculi mei dirupti sunt :
filii mei exierunt a me, et non subsistunt.
Non est qui extendat ultra tentorium meum,
et erigat pelles meas.

WLC ²⁰ אָהֳלִ֣י שֻׁדָּ֔ד וְכָל־ מֵיתָרַ֖י נִתָּ֑קוּ בָּנַ֤י יְצָאֻ֙נִי֙ וְאֵינָ֔ם אֵין־ נֹטֶ֥ה עוֹד֙ אָהֳלִ֔י וּמֵקִ֖ים יְרִיעוֹתָֽי׃

KJV ²¹ For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

OST ²¹ Car les bergers étaient stupides; ils ne cherchaient pas l'Éternel. C'est pour cela qu'ils n'ont pas prospéré, et que tous leurs troupeaux ont été dispersés.

VULC ²¹ Quia stulte egerunt pastores,
et Dominum non quæsierunt :
propterea non intellexerunt,
et omnis grex eorum dispersus est.

WLC ²¹ כִּ֤י נִבְעֲרוּ֙ הָֽרֹעִ֔ים וְאֶת־ יְהוָ֖ה לֹ֣א דָרָ֑שׁוּ עַל־ כֵּן֙ לֹ֣א הִשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ וְכָל־ מַרְעִיתָ֖ם נָפֽוֹצָה׃

KJV ²² Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.

OST ²² Voici, une rumeur se fait entendre, un grand tumulte vient du pays du Nord, pour faire des villes de Juda un désert, un repaire de chacals.

VULC ²² Vox auditionis ecce venit,
et commotio magna de terra aquilonis :
ut ponat civitates Juda solitudinem,
et habitaculum draconum.

WLC ²² ק֤וֹל שְׁמוּעָה֙ הִנֵּ֣ה בָאָ֔ה וְרַ֥עַשׁ גָּד֖וֹל מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צָפ֑וֹן לָשׂ֞וּם אֶת־ עָרֵ֧י יְהוּדָ֛ה שְׁמָמָ֖ה מְע֥וֹן תַּנִּֽים׃

KJV ²³ O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

OST ²³ Éternel! je connais que la voie de l'homme ne dépend pas de lui, et qu'il n'est pas au pouvoir de l'homme qui marche, de bien diriger ses pas.

quia non est hominis via ejus,
nec viri est ut ambulet,
et dirigat gressus suos.

WLC ²³ יָדַ֣עְתִּי יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֛י לֹ֥א לָאָדָ֖ם דַּרְכּ֑וֹ לֹֽא־ לְאִ֣ישׁ הֹלֵ֔ךְ וְהָכִ֖ין אֶֽת־ צַעֲדֽוֹ׃

KJV ²⁴ O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.

OST ²⁴ O Éternel! châtie-moi, toutefois avec mesure; non pas en ta colère, de peur que tu ne me réduises à néant.

VULC ²⁴ Corripe me, Domine, verumtamen in judicio,
et non in furore tuo, ne forte ad nihilum redigas me.

KJV ²⁵ Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

OST ²⁵ Répands ta fureur sur les nations qui ne te connaissent pas, et sur les tribus qui n'invoquent point ton nom. Car elles ont dévoré Jacob, et elles le dévorent; elles l'ont consumé, et elles ont mis sa demeure en désolation.
