DRB ⁷ Tu m'as entraîné, ô Éternel ! et j'ai été entraîné ; tu m'as saisi, et tu as été le plus fort ; je suis un objet de dérision tout le jour, chacun se moque de moi.

KJV ⁷ O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.

WLC ⁷ פִּתִּיתַ֤נִי יְהוָה֙ וָֽאֶפָּ֔ת חֲזַקְתַּ֖נִי וַתּוּכָ֑ל הָיִ֤יתִי לִשְׂחוֹק֙ כָּל־ הַיּ֔וֹם כֻּלֹּ֖ה לֹעֵ֥ג לִֽי׃

DRB ⁸ Car toutes les fois que je parle, je crie, je proclame la violence et la dévastation ; car la parole de l'Éternel m'a été à opprobre et à moquerie tout le jour.

KJV ⁸ For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.

WLC ⁸ כִּֽי־ מִדֵּ֤י אֲדַבֵּר֙ אֶזְעָ֔ק חָמָ֥ס וָשֹׁ֖ד אֶקְרָ֑א כִּֽי־ הָיָ֨ה דְבַר־ יְהוָ֥ה לִ֛י לְחֶרְפָּ֥ה וּלְקֶ֖לֶס כָּל־ הַיּֽוֹם׃

DRB ⁹ Et j'ai dit : Je ne ferai plus mention de lui, et je ne parlerai plus en son nom ; mais elle a été dans mon cœur comme un feu brûlant, renfermé dans mes os ; je fus las de [la] retenir*, et je ne l'ai pu.

KJV ⁹ Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

WLC ⁹ וְאָמַרְתִּ֣י לֹֽא־ אֶזְכְּרֶ֗נּוּ וְלֹֽא־ אֲדַבֵּ֥ר עוֹד֙ בִּשְׁמ֔וֹ וְהָיָ֤ה בְלִבִּי֙ כְּאֵ֣שׁ בֹּעֶ֔רֶת עָצֻ֖ר בְּעַצְמֹתָ֑י וְנִלְאֵ֥יתִי כַּֽלְכֵ֖ל וְלֹ֥א אוּכָֽל׃

DRB ¹⁰ Car j'ai entendu les diffamations de plusieurs : la terreur de tous côtés ! Rapportez*, et nous rapporterons ! Tous mes familiers guettaient ma chute [disant] : Peut-être se laissera-t-il séduire ; et nous prévaudrons contre lui, et nous nous vengerons sur lui.

KJV ¹⁰ For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.

WLC ¹⁰ כִּ֣י שָׁמַ֜עְתִּי דִּבַּ֣ת רַבִּים֮ מָג֣וֹר מִסָּבִיב֒ הַגִּ֙ידוּ֙ וְנַגִּידֶ֔נּוּ כֹּ֚ל אֱנ֣וֹשׁ שְׁלוֹמִ֔י שֹׁמְרֵ֖י צַלְעִ֑י אוּלַ֤י יְפֻתֶּה֙ וְנ֣וּכְלָה ל֔וֹ וְנִקְחָ֥ה נִקְמָתֵ֖נוּ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

DRB ¹¹ Mais l'Éternel est avec moi comme un homme puissant ; c'est pourquoi mes persécuteurs trébucheront, et ne prévaudront pas ; ils seront fort honteux, car ils n'ont pas réussi : confusion éternelle qui ne sera point oubliée !

KJV ¹¹ But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

WLC ¹¹ וַֽיהוָ֤ה אוֹתִי֙ כְּגִבּ֣וֹר עָרִ֔יץ עַל־ כֵּ֛ן רֹדְפַ֥י יִכָּשְׁל֖וּ וְלֹ֣א יֻכָ֑לוּ בֹּ֤שׁוּ מְאֹד֙ כִּֽי־ לֹ֣א הִשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ כְּלִמַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם לֹ֥א תִשָּׁכֵֽחַ׃

DRB ¹² Éternel des armées, qui éprouves le juste, [et] qui vois les reins et le cœur ! fais que je voie ta vengeance sur eux ; car à toi j'ai découvert ma cause.

KJV ¹² But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

WLC ¹² וַיהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ בֹּחֵ֣ן צַדִּ֔יק רֹאֶ֥ה כְלָי֖וֹת וָלֵ֑ב אֶרְאֶ֤ה נִקְמָֽתְךָ֙ מֵהֶ֔ם כִּ֥י אֵלֶ֖יךָ גִּלִּ֥יתִי אֶת־ רִיבִֽי׃

DRB ¹³ Chantez à l'Éternel, louez l'Éternel ! car il a délivré l'âme du pauvre de la main des méchants.

KJV ¹³ Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.

WLC ¹³ שִׁ֚ירוּ לַֽיהוָ֔ה הַֽלְל֖וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֥י הִצִּ֛יל אֶת־ נֶ֥פֶשׁ אֶבְי֖וֹן מִיַּ֥ד מְרֵעִֽים׃
