DRB ¹ Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Descends à la maison du roi de Juda, et prononce là cette parole, et dis :

KJV ¹ Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,

VULC ¹ Hæc dicit Dominus : Descende in domum regis Juda, et loqueris ibi verbum hoc,

DRB ² Écoute la parole de l'Éternel, ô roi de Juda, qui es assis sur le trône de David ! toi, et tes serviteurs, et ton peuple, qui entrez par ces portes.

KJV ² And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:

VULC ² et dices : [Audi verbum Domini, rex Juda,
qui sedes super solium David :
tu et servi tui, et populus tuus,
qui ingredimini per portas istas.

DRB ³ Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Pratiquez le jugement et la justice, et délivrez de la main de l'oppresseur celui qui est pillé ; et n'opprimez pas, ne violentez pas l'étranger, l'orphelin, et la veuve, et ne versez pas le sang innocent dans ce lieu.

KJV ³ Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

VULC ³ Hæc dicit Dominus :
Facite judicium et justitiam,
et liberate vi oppressum de manu calumniatoris :
et advenam, et pupillum, et viduam
nolite contristare, neque opprimatis inique,
et sanguinem innocentem ne effundatis in loco isto.

DRB ⁴ Car si en effet vous accomplissez fidèlement cette parole, alors les rois qui sont assis à la place de David sur son trône entreront par les portes de cette maison, montés sur des chars et sur des chevaux, - lui, et ses serviteurs, et son peuple.

KJV ⁴ For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.

VULC ⁴ Si enim facientes feceritis verbum istud,
ingredientur per portas domus hujus
reges sedentes de genere David super thronum ejus,
et ascendentes currus et equos,
ipsi, et servi, et populus eorum.

DRB ⁵ Et si vous n'écoutez pas ces paroles, je jure par moi-même, dit l'Éternel, que cette maison sera réduite en désolation.

KJV ⁵ But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

VULC ⁵ Quod si non audieritis verba hæc :
in memetipso juravi, dicit Dominus,
quia in solitudinem erit domus hæc.

DRB ⁶ Car ainsi dit l'Éternel touchant la maison du roi de Juda : Tu es pour moi un Galaad, le sommet du Liban… Si je ne te réduis en désert, en villes inhabitées !

KJV ⁶ For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.

VULC ⁶ Quia hæc dicit Dominus super domum regis Juda :
Galaad, tu mihi caput Libani,
si non posuero te solitudinem, urbes inhabitabiles !

DRB ⁷ Et je préparerai contre toi des destructeurs, chacun avec ses armes, et ils couperont et jetteront au feu l'élite de tes cèdres.

KJV ⁷ And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.

VULC ⁷ Et sanctificabo super te, interficientem virum et arma ejus :
et succident electas cedros tuas,
et præcipitabunt in ignem.

DRB ⁸ Et beaucoup de nations passeront près de cette ville, et chacun dira à son compagnon : Pourquoi l'Éternel a-t-il fait ainsi à cette grande ville ?

KJV ⁸ And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city?

VULC ⁸ Et pertransibunt gentes multæ per civitatem hanc,
et dicet unusquisque proximo suo :
Quare fecit Dominus sic civitati huic grandi ?

DRB ⁹ Et on dira : Parce qu'ils ont abandonné l'alliance de l'Éternel leur Dieu, et qu'ils se sont prosternés devant d'autres dieux, et les ont servis.

KJV ⁹ Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.

VULC ⁹ Et respondebunt :
Eo quod dereliquerint pactum Domini Dei sui,
et adoraverint deos alienos, et servierint eis.
