KJV ¹ The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

KJV ² Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

MAR ² Ainsi a parlé l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, en disant : écris-toi dans un livre toutes les paroles que je t'ai dites.

WLC ² כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר כְּתָב־ לְךָ֗ אֵ֧ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֛ים אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי אֵלֶ֖יךָ אֶל־ סֵֽפֶר׃

KJV ³ For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

MAR ³ Car voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Eternel, que je ramènerai les captifs de mon peuple d'Israël et de Juda, a dit l'Eternel, et je les ferai retourner au pays que j'ai donné à leurs pères, et ils le posséderont.

WLC ³ כִּ֠י הִנֵּ֨ה יָמִ֤ים בָּאִים֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וְ֠שַׁבְתִּי אֶת־ שְׁב֨וּת עַמִּ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וִֽיהוּדָ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֗ים אֶל־ הָאָ֛רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־ נָתַ֥תִּי לַאֲבוֹתָ֖ם וִֽירֵשֽׁוּהָ׃

KJV ⁴ And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

MAR ⁴ Et ce sont ici les paroles que l'Eternel a prononcées touchant Israël, et Juda :

WLC ⁴ וְאֵ֣לֶּה הַדְּבָרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְאֶל־ יְהוּדָֽה׃

KJV ⁵ For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

MAR ⁵ Ainsi a donc dit l'Eternel : nous avons ouï un bruit d'épouvantement et de frayeur, et il n'y a point de paix.

WLC ⁵ כִּי־ כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חֲרָדָ֖ה שָׁמָ֑עְנוּ פַּ֖חַד וְאֵ֥ין שָׁלֽוֹם׃

KJV ⁶ Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

MAR ⁶ Informez-vous, je vous prie, et considérez si un mâle enfante ; pourquoi donc ai-je vu tout homme tenant ses mains sur ses reins comme une femme qui enfante ? et [pourquoi] tous les visages sont-ils jaunes ?

WLC ⁶ שַׁאֲלוּ־ נָ֣א וּרְא֔וּ אִם־ יֹלֵ֖ד זָכָ֑ר מַדּוּעַ֩ רָאִ֨יתִי כָל־ גֶּ֜בֶר יָדָ֤יו עַל־ חֲלָצָיו֙ כַּיּ֣וֹלֵדָ֔ה וְנֶהֶפְכ֥וּ כָל־ פָּנִ֖ים לְיֵרָקֽוֹן׃

KJV ⁷ Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

MAR ⁷ Hélas ! que cette journée-là est grande, il n'y en a point eu de semblable, et elle sera un temps de détresse à Jacob ; [mais] il en sera pourtant délivré.

WLC ⁷ ה֗וֹי כִּ֥י גָד֛וֹל הַיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא מֵאַ֣יִן כָּמֹ֑הוּ וְעֵֽת־ צָרָ֥ה הִיא֙ לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב וּמִמֶּ֖נָּה יִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃

KJV ⁸ For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

MAR ⁸ Et il arrivera en ce jour-là, dit l'Eternel des armées, que je briserai son joug de dessus ton cou, et que je romprai tes liens ; et les étrangers ne t'asserviront plus ;

WLC ⁸ וְהָיָה֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא נְאֻ֣ם ׀ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת אֶשְׁבֹּ֤ר עֻלּוֹ֙ מֵעַ֣ל צַוָּארֶ֔ךָ וּמוֹסְרוֹתֶ֖יךָ אֲנַתֵּ֑ק וְלֹא־ יַעַבְדוּ־ ב֥וֹ ע֖וֹד זָרִֽים׃

KJV ⁹ But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

MAR ⁹ Mais ils serviront l'Eternel leur Dieu, et David leur Roi, lequel je leur susciterai.

WLC ⁹ וְעָ֣בְד֔וּ אֵ֖ת יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם וְאֵת֙ דָּוִ֣ד מַלְכָּ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָקִ֖ים לָהֶֽם׃

KJV ¹⁰ Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

MAR ¹⁰ Toi donc, mon serviteur Jacob, ne crains point, dit l'Eternel, et ne t'épouvante point, ô Israël ! car voici, je m'en vais te délivrer du pays éloigné ; et ta postérité du pays de leur captivité ; et Jacob retournera, il sera en repos et à son aise, et il n'y aura personne qui lui fasse peur.

WLC ¹⁰ וְאַתָּ֡ה אַל־ תִּירָא֩ עַבְדִּ֨י יַעֲקֹ֤ב נְאֻם־ יְהֹוָה֙ וְאַל־ תֵּחַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כִּ֠י הִנְנִ֤י מוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֙ מֵֽרָח֔וֹק וְאֶֽת־ זַרְעֲךָ֖ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ שִׁבְיָ֑ם וְשָׁ֧ב יַעֲקֹ֛ב וְשָׁקַ֥ט וְשַׁאֲנַ֖ן וְאֵ֥ין מַחֲרִֽיד׃

KJV ¹¹ For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

MAR ¹¹ Car je suis avec toi, dit l'Eternel, pour te délivrer ; et même je consumerai entièrement toutes les nations parmi lesquelles je t'aurai dispersé ; mais quant à toi, je ne te consumerai point entièrement, mais je te châtierai par mesure, et je ne te tiendrai pas entièrement pour innocent.

WLC ¹¹ כִּֽי־ אִתְּךָ֥ אֲנִ֛י נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֖ה לְהֽוֹשִׁיעֶ֑ךָ כִּי֩ אֶעֱשֶׂ֨ה כָלָ֜ה בְּכָֽל־ הַגּוֹיִ֣ם ׀ אֲשֶׁ֧ר הֲפִצוֹתִ֣יךָ שָּׁ֗ם אַ֤ךְ אֹֽתְךָ֙ לֹֽא־ אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה כָלָ֔ה וְיִסַּרְתִּ֙יךָ֙ לַמִּשְׁפָּ֔ט וְנַקֵּ֖ה לֹ֥א אֲנַקֶּֽךָּ׃

KJV ¹² For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

MAR ¹² Car ainsi a dit l'Eternel : ta blessure est hors d'espérance, [et] ta plaie est fort douloureuse.

WLC ¹² כִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֖ה אָנ֣וּשׁ לְשִׁבְרֵ֑ךְ נַחְלָ֖ה מַכָּתֵֽךְ׃

KJV ¹³ There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

MAR ¹³ Il n'y a personne qui défende ta cause pour nettoyer [ta plaie] ; il n'y a point pour toi de remède qui y fasse revenir la chair.

WLC ¹³ אֵֽין־ דָּ֥ן דִּינֵ֖ךְ לְמָז֑וֹר רְפֻא֥וֹת תְּעָלָ֖ה אֵ֥ין לָֽךְ׃

KJV ¹⁴ All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

MAR ¹⁴ Tous tes amoureux t'ont oubliée, ils ne te cherchent point ; car je t'ai frappée d'une plaie d'ennemi, d'un châtiment [d'homme] cruel, à cause de la grandeur de tes iniquités ; tes péchés se sont renforcés.

WLC ¹⁴ כָּל־ מְאַהֲבַ֣יִךְ שְׁכֵח֔וּךְ אוֹתָ֖ךְ לֹ֣א יִדְרֹ֑שׁוּ כִּי֩ מַכַּ֨ת אוֹיֵ֤ב הִכִּיתִיךְ֙ מוּסַ֣ר אַכְזָרִ֔י עַ֚ל רֹ֣ב עֲוֺנֵ֔ךְ עָצְמ֖וּ חַטֹּאתָֽיִךְ׃

KJV ¹⁵ Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

MAR ¹⁵ Pourquoi cries-tu à cause de ta plaie ? ta douleur est hors d'espérance ; je t'ai fait ces choses à cause de la grandeur de ton iniquité, tes péchés se sont renforcés.

WLC ¹⁵ מַה־ תִּזְעַק֙ עַל־ שִׁבְרֵ֔ךְ אָנ֖וּשׁ מַכְאֹבֵ֑ךְ עַ֣ל ׀ רֹ֣ב עֲוֺנֵ֗ךְ עָֽצְמוּ֙ חַטֹּאתַ֔יִךְ עָשִׂ֥יתִי אֵ֖לֶּה לָֽךְ׃

KJV ¹⁶ Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

MAR ¹⁶ Néanmoins tous ceux qui te dévorent, seront dévorés, et tous ceux qui te mettent dans la détresse iront en captivité ; et tous ceux qui te fourragent seront fourragés ; et j'abandonnerai au pillage tous ceux qui te pillent.

WLC ¹⁶ לָכֵ֞ן כָּל־ אֹכְלַ֙יִךְ֙ יֵאָכֵ֔לוּ וְכָל־ צָרַ֥יִךְ כֻּלָּ֖ם בַּשְּׁבִ֣י יֵלֵ֑כוּ וְהָי֤וּ שֹׁאסַ֙יִךְ֙ לִמְשִׁסָּ֔ה וְכָל־ בֹּזְזַ֖יִךְ אֶתֵּ֥ן לָבַֽז׃

KJV ¹⁷ For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

MAR ¹⁷ Même je consoliderai tes plaies, et te guérirai de tes blessures, dit l'Eternel. Parce qu'ils t'ont appelée la déchassée, [et qu'ils ont dit :] c'est Sion, personne ne la recherche :

WLC ¹⁷ כִּי֩ אַעֲלֶ֨ה אֲרֻכָ֥ה לָ֛ךְ וּמִמַּכּוֹתַ֥יִךְ אֶרְפָּאֵ֖ךְ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֤י נִדָּחָה֙ קָ֣רְאוּ לָ֔ךְ צִיּ֣וֹן הִ֔יא דֹּרֵ֖שׁ אֵ֥ין לָֽהּ׃

KJV ¹⁸ Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

MAR ¹⁸ Ainsi a dit l'Eternel : voici, je m'en vais ramener les captifs des tentes de Jacob, et j'aurai pitié de ses pavillons ; la ville sera rétablie sur son sol, et le palais sera assis en sa place.

WLC ¹⁸ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה הִנְנִי־ שָׁב֙ שְׁבוּת֙ אָהֳלֵ֣י יַֽעֲק֔וֹב וּמִשְׁכְּנֹתָ֖יו אֲרַחֵ֑ם וְנִבְנְתָ֥ה עִיר֙ עַל־ תִּלָּ֔הּ וְאַרְמ֖וֹן עַל־ מִשְׁפָּט֥וֹ יֵשֵֽׁב׃

KJV ¹⁹ And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

MAR ¹⁹ Et il sortira d'eux actions de grâces et voix de gens qui rient, et je les multiplierai, et ils ne seront plus diminués ; et je les agrandirai, et ils ne seront point rendus petits.

WLC ¹⁹ וְיָצָ֥א מֵהֶ֛ם תּוֹדָ֖ה וְק֣וֹל מְשַׂחֲקִ֑ים וְהִרְבִּתִים֙ וְלֹ֣א יִמְעָ֔טוּ וְהִכְבַּדְתִּ֖ים וְלֹ֥א יִצְעָֽרוּ׃

KJV ²⁰ Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

MAR ²⁰ Et ses enfants seront comme auparavant, et son assemblée sera affermie devant moi, et je punirai tous ceux qui l'oppriment.

WLC ²⁰ וְהָי֤וּ בָנָיו֙ כְּקֶ֔דֶם וַעֲדָת֖וֹ לְפָנַ֣י תִּכּ֑וֹן וּפָ֣קַדְתִּ֔י עַ֖ל כָּל־ לֹחֲצָֽיו׃

KJV ²¹ And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.

MAR ²¹ Et celui qui aura autorité sur lui sera de lui, et son dominateur sortira du milieu de lui, je le ferai approcher, et il viendra vers moi ; car qui est celui qui ait disposé son coeur pour venir vers moi ? dit l'Eternel.

WLC ²¹ וְהָיָ֨ה אַדִּיר֜וֹ מִמֶּ֗נּוּ וּמֹֽשְׁלוֹ֙ מִקִּרְבּ֣וֹ יֵצֵ֔א וְהִקְרַבְתִּ֖יו וְנִגַּ֣שׁ אֵלָ֑י כִּי֩ מִ֨י הוּא־ זֶ֜ה עָרַ֧ב אֶת־ לִבּ֛וֹ לָגֶ֥שֶׁת אֵלַ֖י נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ²² And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

MAR ²² Et vous serez mon peuple, et je serai votre Dieu.

WLC ²² וִהְיִ֥יתֶם לִ֖י לְעָ֑ם וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃

KJV ²³ Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

MAR ²³ Voici, la tempête de l'Eternel, la fureur est sortie, un tourbillon qui s'entasse ; il se posera sur la tête des méchants.

WLC ²³ הִנֵּ֣ה ׀ סַעֲרַ֣ת יְהוָ֗ה חֵמָה֙ יָֽצְאָ֔ה סַ֖עַר מִתְגּוֹרֵ֑ר עַ֛ל רֹ֥אשׁ רְשָׁעִ֖ים יָחֽוּל׃

KJV ²⁴ The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

MAR ²⁴ L'ardeur de la colère de l'Eternel ne se détournera point, jusqu’à ce qu'il ait exécuté et mis en effet les desseins de son coeur ; vous entendrez ceci aux derniers jours.

WLC ²⁴ לֹ֣א יָשׁ֗וּב חֲרוֹן֙ אַף־ יְהוָ֔ה עַד־ עֲשֹׂת֥וֹ וְעַד־ הֲקִימ֖וֹ מְזִמּ֣וֹת לִבּ֑וֹ בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית הַיָּמִ֖ים תִּתְבּ֥וֹנְנוּ בָֽהּ׃

KJV ¹ At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

MAR ¹ En ce temps-là, dit l'Eternel, je serai le Dieu de toutes les familles d'Israël, et ils seront mon peuple.

WLC ¹ בָּעֵ֤ת הַהִיא֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה אֶֽהְיֶה֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים לְכֹ֖ל מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְהֵ֖מָּה יִֽהְיוּ־ לִ֥י לְעָֽם׃

KJV ² Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

MAR ² Ainsi a dit l'Eternel : le peuple réchappé de l'épée a trouvé grâce dans le désert ; on va pour faire trouver du repos à Israël.

WLC ² כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה מָצָ֥א חֵן֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר עַ֖ם שְׂרִ֣ידֵי חָ֑רֶב הָל֥וֹךְ לְהַרְגִּיע֖וֹ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ³ The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

MAR ³ L'Eternel m'est apparu de loin, [et m'a dit] : je t'ai aimée d'un amour éternel, c'est pourquoi j'ai prolongé envers toi ma gratuité.

WLC ³ מֵרָח֕וֹק יְהוָ֖ה נִרְאָ֣ה לִ֑י וְאַהֲבַ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ אֲהַבְתִּ֔יךְ עַל־ כֵּ֖ן מְשַׁכְתִּ֥יךְ חָֽסֶד׃

KJV ⁴ Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

MAR ⁴ Je t'établirai encore, et tu seras établie, ô vierge d'Israël ! Tu te pareras encore de tes tambours, et tu sortiras avec la danse des joueurs.

WLC ⁴ ע֤וֹד אֶבְנֵךְ֙ וְֽנִבְנֵ֔ית בְּתוּלַ֖ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל ע֚וֹד תַּעְדִּ֣י תֻפַּ֔יִךְ וְיָצָ֖את בִּמְח֥וֹל מְשַׂחֲקִֽים׃

KJV ⁵ Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.

MAR ⁵ Tu planteras encore des vignes sur les montagnes de Samarie ; les vignerons [les] planteront, et ils en recueilleront les fruits pour leur usage.

WLC ⁵ ע֚וֹד תִּטְּעִ֣י כְרָמִ֔ים בְּהָרֵ֖י שֹֽׁמְר֑וֹן נָטְע֥וּ נֹטְעִ֖ים וְחִלֵּֽלוּ׃

KJV ⁶ For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.

MAR ⁶ Car il y a un jour auquel les gardes crieront en la montagne d'Ephraïm : levez-vous, et montons en Sion vers l'Eternel notre Dieu.

WLC ⁶ כִּ֣י יֶשׁ־ י֔וֹם קָרְא֥וּ נֹצְרִ֖ים בְּהַ֣ר אֶפְרָ֑יִם ק֚וּמוּ וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה צִיּ֔וֹן אֶל־ יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

KJV ⁷ For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.

MAR ⁷ Car ainsi a dit l'Eternel : réjouissez-vous avec chant de triomphe, et avec allégresse à cause de Jacob, et vous égayez à cause du chef des nations ; faites-le entendre, chantez des louanges, et dites : Eternel, délivre ton peuple, le reste d'Israël.

WLC ⁷ כִּי־ כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה רָנּ֤וּ לְיַֽעֲקֹב֙ שִׂמְחָ֔ה וְצַהֲל֖וּ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם הַשְׁמִ֤יעוּ הַֽלְלוּ֙ וְאִמְר֔וּ הוֹשַׁ֤ע יְהוָה֙ אֶֽת־ עַמְּךָ֔ אֵ֖ת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ⁸ Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

MAR ⁸ Voici, je m'en vais les faire venir du pays d'Aquilon, et je les rassemblerai du fond de la terre ; l'aveugle et le boiteux, la femme enceinte et celle qui enfante seront ensemble parmi eux ; une grande assemblée retournera ici.

WLC ⁸ הִנְנִי֩ מֵבִ֨יא אוֹתָ֜ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צָפ֗וֹן וְקִבַּצְתִּים֮ מִיַּרְכְּתֵי־ אָרֶץ֒ בָּ֚ם עִוֵּ֣ר וּפִסֵּ֔חַ הָרָ֥ה וְיֹלֶ֖דֶת יַחְדָּ֑ו קָהָ֥ל גָּד֖וֹל יָשׁ֥וּבוּ הֵֽנָּה׃

KJV ⁹ They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

MAR ⁹ Ils y seront allés en pleurant, mais je les ferai retourner avec des supplications, et je les conduirai aux torrents d'eaux, et par un droit chemin, auquel ils ne broncheront point ; car j'ai été pour père à Israël, et Ephraïm est mon premier-né.

WLC ⁹ בִּבְכִ֣י יָבֹ֗אוּ וּֽבְתַחֲנוּנִים֮ אֽוֹבִילֵם֒ אֽוֹלִיכֵם֙ אֶל־ נַ֣חֲלֵי מַ֔יִם בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ יָשָׁ֔ר לֹ֥א יִכָּשְׁל֖וּ בָּ֑הּ כִּֽי־ הָיִ֤יתִי לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְאָ֔ב וְאֶפְרַ֖יִם בְּכֹ֥רִי הֽוּא׃

KJV ¹⁰ Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.

MAR ¹⁰ Nations, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel, et l'annoncez aux Iles éloignées, et dites : celui qui a dispersé Israël le rassemblera, et le gardera comme un berger [garde] son troupeau.

KJV ¹¹ For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.

MAR ¹¹ Car l'Eternel a racheté Jacob, et l'a retiré de la main d'un [ennemi] plus fort que lui.

WLC ¹¹ כִּֽי־ פָדָ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶֽת־ יַעֲקֹ֑ב וּגְאָל֕וֹ מִיַּ֖ד חָזָ֥ק מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

KJV ¹² Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

MAR ¹² Ils viendront donc, et se réjouiront avec chant de triomphe au [lieu] le plus haut de Sion, et ils accourront aux biens de l'Eternel, au froment, au vin, et à l'huile, et au fruit du gros et du menu bétail ; et leur âme sera comme un jardin plein de fontaines, et ils ne seront plus dans l'ennui.

WLC ¹² וּבָאוּ֮ וְרִנְּנ֣וּ בִמְרוֹם־ צִיּוֹן֒ וְנָהֲר֞וּ אֶל־ ט֣וּב יְהוָ֗ה עַל־ דָּגָן֙ וְעַל־ תִּירֹ֣שׁ וְעַל־ יִצְהָ֔ר וְעַל־ בְּנֵי־ צֹ֖אן וּבָקָ֑ר וְהָיְתָ֤ה נַפְשָׁם֙ כְּגַ֣ן רָוֶ֔ה וְלֹא־ יוֹסִ֥יפוּ לְדַאֲבָ֖ה עֽוֹד׃

KJV ¹³ Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

MAR ¹³ Alors la vierge se réjouira en la danse, et les jeunes gens et les anciens ensemble, et je tournerai leur deuil en joie, et je les consolerai, et les réjouirai [les délivrant] de leur douleur.

KJV ¹⁴ And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.

MAR ¹⁴ Je rassasierai aussi de graisse l'âme des Sacrificateurs, et mon peuple sera rassasié de mon bien, dit l'Eternel.

WLC ¹⁴ וְרִוֵּיתִ֛י נֶ֥פֶשׁ הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים דָּ֑שֶׁן וְעַמִּ֛י אֶת־ טוּבִ֥י יִשְׂבָּ֖עוּ נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁵ Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

MAR ¹⁵ Ainsi a dit l'Eternel : une voix très amère de lamentation [et] de pleurs a été ouïe à Rama, Rachel pleurant ses enfants, a refusé d'être consolée touchant ses enfants, de ce qu'il n'y en a plus.

WLC ¹⁵ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה ק֣וֹל בְּרָמָ֤ה נִשְׁמָע֙ נְהִי֙ בְּכִ֣י תַמְרוּרִ֔ים רָחֵ֖ל מְבַכָּ֣ה עַל־ בָּנֶ֑יהָ מֵאֲנָ֛ה לְהִנָּחֵ֥ם עַל־ בָּנֶ֖יהָ כִּ֥י אֵינֶֽנּוּ׃

KJV ¹⁶ Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

MAR ¹⁶ Ainsi a dit l'Eternel : empêche ta voix de lamenter, et tes yeux de verser des larmes, car ton oeuvre aura son salaire, dit l'Eternel, et on retournera du pays de l'ennemi.

WLC ¹⁶ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה מִנְעִ֤י קוֹלֵךְ֙ מִבֶּ֔כִי וְעֵינַ֖יִךְ מִדִּמְעָ֑ה כִּי֩ יֵ֨שׁ שָׂכָ֤ר לִפְעֻלָּתֵךְ֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וְשָׁ֖בוּ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ אוֹיֵֽב׃

KJV ¹⁷ And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.

MAR ¹⁷ Et il y a de l'espérance pour tes derniers jours, dit l'Eternel, et tes enfants retourneront en leurs quartiers.

WLC ¹⁷ וְיֵשׁ־ תִּקְוָ֥ה לְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה וְשָׁ֥בוּ בָנִ֖ים לִגְבוּלָֽם׃

KJV ¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.

KJV ¹⁹ Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

MAR ¹⁹ Certes après que j'aurai été converti, je me repentirai ; et après que je me serai reconnu, je frapperai sur ma cuisse. J'ai été honteux et confus, parce que j'ai porté l'opprobre de ma jeunesse.

KJV ²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

MAR ²⁰ Ephraïm ne m'a-t-il pas été un cher enfant ? ne m'a-t-il pas été un enfant que j'ai aimé ? car toutes les fois que j'ai parlé de lui, je n'ai pas manqué de m'en souvenir [avec tendresse] : c'est pourquoi mes entrailles se sont émues à cause de lui, et j'aurai certainement pitié de lui, dit l'Eternel.

WLC ²⁰ הֲבֵן֩ יַקִּ֨יר לִ֜י אֶפְרַ֗יִם אִ֚ם יֶ֣לֶד שַׁעֲשֻׁעִ֔ים כִּֽי־ מִדֵּ֤י דַבְּרִי֙ בּ֔וֹ זָכֹ֥ר אֶזְכְּרֶ֖נּוּ ע֑וֹד עַל־ כֵּ֗ן הָמ֤וּ מֵעַי֙ ל֔וֹ רַחֵ֥ם אֲ‍ֽרַחֲמֶ֖נּוּ נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ²¹ Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.

MAR ²¹ Dresse-toi des indices sur les chemins, et fais des monceaux de pierres ; prends garde aux chemins, [et] par quelle voie tu es venue. Retourne-t-en, vierge d'Israël, retourne à tes villes.

WLC ²¹ הַצִּ֧יבִי לָ֣ךְ צִיֻּנִ֗ים שִׂ֤מִי לָךְ֙ תַּמְרוּרִ֔ים שִׁ֣תִי לִבֵּ֔ךְ לַֽמְסִלָּ֖ה דֶּ֣רֶךְ שׁ֚וּבִי בְּתוּלַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שֻׁ֖בִי אֶל־ עָרַ֥יִךְ אֵֽלֶּה׃

KJV ²² How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

MAR ²² Jusques à quand seras-tu agitée, fille rebelle ? Car l'Eternel a créé une chose nouvelle sur la terre, la femme environnera l'homme.

WLC ²² עַד־ מָתַי֙ תִּתְחַמָּקִ֔ין הַבַּ֖ת הַשּֽׁוֹבֵבָ֑ה כִּֽי־ בָרָ֨א יְהוָ֤ה חֲדָשָׁה֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ נְקֵבָ֖ה תְּס֥וֹבֵֽב גָּֽבֶר׃

KJV ²³ Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.

MAR ²³ Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël : on dira encore cette parole-ci dans le pays de Juda et dans ses villes, quand j'aurai ramené leurs captifs : l'Eternel te bénisse, ô agréable demeure de la justice, montagne de sainteté.

KJV ²⁴ And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks.

MAR ²⁴ Et Juda et toutes ses villes ensemble, les laboureurs, et ceux qui marchent avec les troupeaux, habiteront en elle.

KJV ²⁵ For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

KJV ²⁶ Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.

KJV ²⁷ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

KJV ²⁸ And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.

MAR ²⁸ Et il arrivera que comme j'ai veillé sur eux pour arracher et démolir, pour détruire, pour perdre, et pour faire du mal ; ainsi je veillerai sur eux pour bâtir et pour planter, dit l'Eternel.

KJV ²⁹ In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.

MAR ²⁹ En ces jours-là on ne dira plus : les pères ont mangé le verjus, et les dents des enfants en sont agacées ;

WLC ²⁹ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם לֹא־ יֹאמְר֣וּ ע֔וֹד אָב֖וֹת אָ֣כְלוּ בֹ֑סֶר וְשִׁנֵּ֥י בָנִ֖ים תִּקְהֶֽינָה׃

KJV ³⁰ But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.
