BCC ¹ La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de Jéhovah, la dixième année de Sédécias. ‒ c'était la dix-huitième année de Nabuchodonosor.

KJV ¹ The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

WLC ¹ הַדָּבָ֞ר אֲשֶׁר־ הָיָ֤ה אֶֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה הָעֲשִׂרִ֔ית לְצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הִ֧יא הַשָּׁנָ֛ה שְׁמֹנֶֽה־ עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֖ה לִנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּֽר׃

BCC ² Alors l'armée du roi de Babylone assiégeait Jérusalem, et Jérémie le prophète était enfermé dans la cour des gardes qui était dans la maison du roi de Juda.

KJV ² For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.

WLC ² וְאָ֗ז חֵ֚יל מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל צָרִ֖ים עַל־ יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְיִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֗יא הָיָ֤ה כָלוּא֙ בַּחֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר בֵּֽית־ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃

BCC ³ Car Sédécias, roi de Juda, l'avait fait enfermer, en lui disant : pourquoi prophétises-tu en disant : ainsi parle Jéhovah : "Je vais livrer cette ville au roi de Babylone, et il la prendra ;

KJV ³ For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

WLC ³ אֲשֶׁ֣ר כְּלָא֔וֹ צִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר מַדּוּעַ֩ אַתָּ֨ה נִבָּ֜א לֵאמֹ֗ר כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י נֹתֵ֜ן אֶת־ הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֛את בְּיַ֥ד מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֖ל וּלְכָדָֽהּ׃

BCC ⁴ et Sédécias, roi de Juda n'échappera pas aux Chaldéens ; il sera certainement livré entre les mains du roi de Babylone, et il lui parlera bouche à bouche et ses yeux verront ses yeux.

KJV ⁴ And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

WLC ⁴ וְצִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה לֹ֥א יִמָּלֵ֖ט מִיַּ֣ד הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים כִּ֣י הִנָּתֹ֤ן יִנָּתֵן֙ בְּיַ֣ד מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶ֔ל וְדִבֶּר־ פִּ֣יו עִם־ פִּ֔יו וְעֵינָ֖יו אֶת־ תִּרְאֶֽינָה׃

BCC ⁵ Et Nabuchodonosor emmènera Sédécias à Babylone, et il y restera jusqu'à ce que je le visite. Si vous combattez contre les Chaldéens, vous ne réussirez point."

KJV ⁵ And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

WLC ⁵ וּבָבֶ֞ל יוֹלִ֤ךְ אֶת־ צִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ וְשָׁ֣ם יִֽהְיֶ֔ה עַד־ פָּקְדִ֥י אֹת֖וֹ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֧י תִֽלָּחֲמ֛וּ אֶת־ הַכַּשְׂדִּ֖ים לֹ֥א תַצְלִֽיחוּ׃

BCC ⁶ Jérémie dit : la parole de Jéhovah m'a été adressée en ces termes :

KJV ⁶ And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

WLC ⁶ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ הָיָ֥ה דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ⁷ Voici Hanaméel, fils de Sellum ton oncle, qui vient vers toi pour te dire : "achète-toi mon champ qui est à Anathoth, car tu as le droit de rachat pour l'acquérir."

KJV ⁷ Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.

WLC ⁷ הִנֵּ֣ה חֲנַמְאֵ֗ל בֶּן־ שַׁלֻּם֙ דֹּֽדְךָ֔ בָּ֥א אֵלֶ֖יךָ לֵאמֹ֑ר קְנֵ֣ה לְךָ֗ אֶת־ שָׂדִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּעֲנָת֔וֹת כִּ֥י לְךָ֛ מִשְׁפַּ֥ט הַגְּאֻלָּ֖ה לִקְנֽוֹת׃

BCC ⁸ Hanaméel, fils de mon oncle, vint donc vers moi selon la parole de Jéhovah, dans la cour des gardes et il me dit : "achète, je te prie, mon champ qui est à Anathoth, dans le territoire de Benjamin, car tu as le droit d'héritage et de rachat ; achète-le pour toi." Alors je connus que c'était là une parole de Jéhovah.

KJV ⁸ So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

WLC ⁸ וַיָּבֹ֣א אֵ֠לַי חֲנַמְאֵ֨ל בֶּן־ דֹּדִ֜י כִּדְבַ֣ר יְהוָה֮ אֶל־ חֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָה֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֡י קְנֵ֣ה נָ֠א אֶת־ שָׂדִ֨י אֲשֶׁר־ בַּעֲנָת֜וֹת אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֗ין כִּֽי־ לְךָ֞ מִשְׁפַּ֧ט הַיְרֻשָּׁ֛ה וּלְךָ֥ הַגְּאֻלָּ֖ה קְנֵה־ לָ֑ךְ וָאֵדַ֕ע כִּ֥י דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה הֽוּא׃

BCC ⁹ J'acquis donc de Hanaméel, fils de mon oncle, le champ qui est à Anathoth, et je lui pesais l'argent, dix-sept sicles d'argent.

KJV ⁹ And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

WLC ⁹ וָֽאֶקְנֶה֙ אֶת־ הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה מֵאֵ֛ת חֲנַמְאֵ֥ל בֶּן־ דֹּדִ֖י אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּעֲנָת֑וֹת וָֽאֶשְׁקֲלָה־ לּוֹ֙ אֶת־ הַכֶּ֔סֶף שִׁבְעָ֥ה שְׁקָלִ֖ים וַעֲשָׂרָ֥ה הַכָּֽסֶף׃

BCC ¹⁰ Puis je passai l'acte et je le scellai ; je pris des témoins et je pesai l'argent dans la balance.

KJV ¹⁰ And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

WLC ¹⁰ וָאֶכְתֹּ֤ב בַּסֵּ֙פֶר֙ וָֽאֶחְתֹּ֔ם וָאָעֵ֖ד עֵדִ֑ים וָאֶשְׁקֹ֥ל הַכֶּ֖סֶף בְּמֹאזְנָֽיִם׃

BCC ¹¹ Ensuite je pris l'acte d'acquisition, celui qui était scellé, renfermant les stipulations et les clauses, et celui qui était ouvert.

KJV ¹¹ So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:

WLC ¹¹ וָאֶקַּ֖ח אֶת־ סֵ֣פֶר הַמִּקְנָ֑ה אֶת־ הֶֽחָת֛וּם הַמִּצְוָ֥ה וְהַחֻקִּ֖ים וְאֶת־ הַגָּלֽוּי׃

BCC ¹² Et je remis l'acte d'acquisition à Baruch, fils de Néri, fils de Maasias, en présence de Hanaméel, mon cousin, et des témoins qui l'avaient signé, et en présence de tous les Juifs qui étaient assis dans la cour des gardes.

KJV ¹² And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

WLC ¹² וָאֶתֵּ֞ן אֶת־ הַסֵּ֣פֶר הַמִּקְנָ֗ה אֶל־ בָּר֣וּךְ בֶּן־ נֵרִיָּה֮ בֶּן־ מַחְסֵיָה֒ לְעֵינֵי֙ חֲנַמְאֵ֣ל דֹּדִ֔י וּלְעֵינֵי֙ הָֽעֵדִ֔ים הַכֹּתְבִ֖ים בְּסֵ֣פֶר הַמִּקְנָ֑ה לְעֵינֵי֙ כָּל־ הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים בַּחֲצַ֥ר הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃

BCC ¹³ Et je donnai devant eux cet ordre à Baruch :

KJV ¹³ And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

WLC ¹³ וָֽאֲצַוֶּה֙ אֶת בָּר֔וּךְ לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ¹⁴ Ainsi parle Jéhovah des armées, ‒ Dieu d'Israël : prends ces actes, cet acte d'acquisition qui est scellé, et cet acte qui est ouvert, et mets-les dans un vase de terre pour qu'ils se conservent longtemps.

KJV ¹⁴ Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

WLC ¹⁴ כֹּֽה־ אָמַר֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לָק֣וֹחַ אֶת־ הַסְּפָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֡לֶּה אֵ֣ת סֵפֶר֩ הַמִּקְנָ֨ה הַזֶּ֜ה וְאֵ֣ת הֶחָת֗וּם וְאֵ֨ת סֵ֤פֶר הַגָּלוּי֙ הַזֶּ֔ה וּנְתַתָּ֖ם בִּכְלִי־ חָ֑רֶשׂ לְמַ֥עַן יַעַמְד֖וּ יָמִ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃

BCC ¹⁵ Car ainsi parle Jéhovah des armées, Dieu d'Israël : on achètera encore des maisons, des champs et des vignes en ce pays.

KJV ¹⁵ For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

WLC ¹⁵ כִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל ע֣וֹד יִקָּנ֥וּ בָתִּ֛ים וְשָׂד֥וֹת וּכְרָמִ֖ים בָּאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּֽאת׃
