KJV ¹ The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

S21 ¹ Voici la parole adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, la dixième année du règne de Sédécias sur Juda, qui était aussi la dix-huitième année du règne de Nebucadnetsar.

KJV ² For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.

S21 ² L'armée du roi de Babylone faisait alors le siège de Jérusalem et le prophète Jérémie était enfermé dans la cour de la prison qui se trouvait dans le palais du roi de Juda.

KJV ³ For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

S21 ³ Sédécias, roi de Juda, l'avait fait enfermer en lui adressant ce reproche: «Pourquoi prophétises-tu comme tu le fais? En effet, tu affirmes: ‘Voici ce que dit l'Eternel: Je vais livrer cette ville entre les mains du roi de Babylone et il s'en emparera.

KJV ⁴ And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

S21 ⁴ Sédécias, roi de Juda, n'échappera pas aux Babyloniens, mais il est certain qu'il sera livré entre les mains du roi de Babylone, il devra lui parler en face et le voir de ses yeux.

KJV ⁵ And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

S21 ⁵ Nebucadnetsar emmènera Sédécias à Babylone où il restera jusqu'à ce que je m'occupe de lui, déclare l'Eternel. Si vous combattez les Babyloniens, vous n'aurez aucun succès.'»

KJV ⁶ And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

S21 ⁶ Jérémie dit: «Voici la parole que l'Eternel m'a adressée:

KJV ⁷ Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.

S21 ⁷ ‘Hanameel, le fils de ton oncle Shallum, va venir te trouver pour te demander d'acheter son champ qui se trouve à Anathoth, car tu as un droit de rachat pour l'acquérir.'

KJV ⁸ So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

S21 ⁸ Effectivement, Hanameel, le fils de mon oncle, est venu me trouver dans la cour de la prison, conformément à la parole de l'Eternel, et m'a dit: ‘Je t'en prie, achète mon champ qui se trouve à Anathoth, dans le pays de Benjamin, car tu as un droit d'héritage et de rachat. Achète-le donc!' J'ai alors su que c'était bien une parole de l'Eternel.

KJV ⁹ And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

S21 ⁹ J'ai donc acheté le champ de Hanameel, le fils de mon oncle, qui est à Anathoth, et je lui ai pesé l'argent, soit 17 pièces d'argent.

KJV ¹⁰ And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

S21 ¹⁰ J'ai écrit un contrat, l'ai cacheté devant des témoins, puis j'ai pesé l'argent dans une balance.

KJV ¹¹ So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:

S21 ¹¹ J'ai pris ensuite le contrat de vente qui était cacheté, avec ses dispositions générales et ses clauses, ainsi que celui qui était ouvert.

KJV ¹² And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

S21 ¹² J'ai remis le contrat de vente à Baruc, fils de Nérija et petit-fils de Machséja, en présence de Hanameel, le fils de mon oncle, des témoins qui avaient signé le contrat de vente et de tous les Judéens qui se trouvaient dans la cour de la prison.

KJV ¹³ And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

KJV ¹⁴ Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

S21 ¹⁴ ‘Voici ce que dit l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, le Dieu d'Israël: Prends ces documents, le contrat de vente qui est cacheté et celui qui est ouvert, et mets-les dans un vase de terre afin qu'ils se conservent longtemps.

KJV ¹⁵ For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

S21 ¹⁵ En effet, voici ce que dit l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, le Dieu d'Israël: On achètera encore des maisons, des champs et des vignes, dans ce pays.'
