KJV ⁴ How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

DRB ⁵ Ou n'avez-vous pas lu dans la loi, que, le jour de sabbat, les sacrificateurs dans le temple profanent le sabbat et ne sont pas coupables ?

KJV ⁵ Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

TR1550 ⁵ ἢ οὐκ ἀνέγνωτε ἐν τῷ νόμῳ ὅτι τοῖς σάββασιν οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ τὸ σάββατον βεβηλοῦσιν καὶ ἀναίτιοί εἰσιν

DRB ⁶ Mais je vous dis qu'il y a ici quelque chose de plus grand que le temple.

KJV ⁶ But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

TR1550 ⁶ λέγω δὲ ὑμῖν ὅτι τοῦ ἱεροῦ μείζων ἐστιν ὧδε

DRB ⁷ Et si vous aviez connu ce que c'est que : «Je veux miséricorde et non pas sacrifice» {Osée 6:6}, vous n'auriez pas condamné ceux qui ne sont pas coupables.

KJV ⁷ But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

KJV ¹¹ And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

DRB ¹² Combien donc un homme vaut-il mieux qu'une brebis ! De sorte qu'il est permis de faire du bien le jour de sabbat.

KJV ¹² How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

DRB ²⁰ il ne brisera pas le roseau froissé, et il n'éteindra pas le lumignon qui fume, jusqu'à ce qu'il ait produit en victoire le jugement ;

KJV ²⁰ A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

TR1550 ²⁰ κάλαμον συντετριμμένον οὐ κατεάξει καὶ λίνον τυφόμενον οὐ σβέσει ἕως ἂν ἐκβάλῃ εἰς νῖκος τὴν κρίσιν

DRB ²¹ et les nations espéreront en son nom» {Ésaïe 42:1-4}.
