BCC ²¹ Jésus commença depuis lors à déclarer à ses disciples qu'il fallait qu'il allât à Jérusalem, qu'il souffrît beaucoup de la part des anciens, des grands prêtres et des scribes, qu'il fût mis à mort et qu'il ressuscitât le troisième jour.

KJV ²¹ From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

BCC ²² Pierre, le prenant à part se mit à le reprendre, disant : "à Dieu ne plaise, Seigneur ! cela ne vous arrivera pas."

KJV ²² Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

TR1550 ²² καὶ προσλαβόμενος αὐτὸν ὁ πέτρος ἤρξατο ἐπιτιμᾶν αὐτῷ λέγων Ἵλεώς σοι κύριε οὐ μὴ ἔσται σοι τοῦτο

BCC ²³ Mais lui, se tournant, dit à Pierre : "va-t'en ! Arrière de moi, Satan ! tu m'es scandale ; car tu n'as pas le sens des choses de Dieu, mais (celui) des choses des hommes."

KJV ²³ But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

TR1550 ²³ ὁ δὲ στραφεὶς εἶπεν τῷ πέτρῳ ὕπαγε ὀπίσω μου σατανᾶ σκάνδαλον μου εἶ ὅτι οὐ φρονεῖς τὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἀλλὰ τὰ τῶν ἀνθρώπων

BCC ²⁴ Alors Jésus dit à ses disciples : "si quelqu'un veut venir à ma suite, qu'il se renonce lui-même, qu'il prenne sa croix et me suive.

KJV ²⁴ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

BCC ²⁵ Car celui qui voudra sauver sa vie, la perdra ; et celui qui perdra sa vie à cause de moi, la trouvera.

KJV ²⁵ For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

BCC ²⁶ Quel profit en effet aura l'homme, s'il gagne le monde entier, mais perd son âme ? Ou que donnera l'homme en échange de son âme ?

KJV ²⁶ For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

TR1550 ²⁶ τί γὰρ ὠφελεῖται ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν τὸν κόσμον ὅλον κερδήσῃ τὴν δὲ ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ζημιωθῇ ἢ τί δώσει ἄνθρωπος ἀντάλλαγμα τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ

BCC ²⁷ Car le Fils de l'homme doit venir dans la gloire de son Père avec ses anges, et alors il rendra à chacun selon ses oeuvres.

KJV ²⁷ For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

BCC ²⁸ Je vous le dis en vérité, quelques-uns de ceux qui sont ici présents ne goûteront point la mort qu'ils n'aient vu le Fils de l'homme venant dans son règne."

KJV ²⁸ Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

KJV ² And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

BCC ³ Et voilà que Moïse et Élie leur apparurent, conversant avec lui.

BCC ⁴ Prenant la parole, Pierre dit à Jésus : "Seigneur, il nous est bon d'être ici ; si vous le voulez, je ferai ici trois tentes, une pour vous, une pour Moïse et une pour Élie."

KJV ⁴ Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

BCC ⁵ Il parlait encore, lorsqu'une nuée lumineuse les couvrit, et voilà que du sein de la nuée une voix dit : "Celui-ci est mon Fils bien-aimé, en qui j'ai mis mes complaisances : écoutez-le."

KJV ⁵ While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

BCC ⁶ En entendant, les disciples tombèrent la face contre terre et furent saisis d'une grande frayeur.

KJV ⁶ And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

BCC ⁷ Et Jésus, s'approchant, les toucha et dit : "levez-vous, ne craignez point."

KJV ⁷ And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

BCC ⁸ Levant les yeux, ils ne virent plus que Jésus seul.

KJV ⁸ And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

BCC ⁹ Comme ils descendaient de la montagne, Jésus leur fit ce commandement : "ne parlez à personne de cette vision, jusqu'à ce que le Fils de l'homme soit ressuscité des morts."

KJV ⁹ And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

TR1550 ⁹ καὶ καταβαινόντων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους ἐνετείλατο αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγων μηδενὶ εἴπητε τὸ ὅραμα ἕως οὗ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀναστῇ

BCC ¹⁰ Les disciples l'interrogèrent, disant : "pourquoi donc les scribes disent-ils qu'il faut qu'Élie vienne d'abord ?"

KJV ¹⁰ And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

TR1550 ¹⁰ καὶ ἐπηρώτησαν αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ λέγοντες τί οὖν οἱ γραμματεῖς λέγουσιν ὅτι ἠλίαν δεῖ ἐλθεῖν πρῶτον

BCC ¹¹ Il répondit : "Élie vient en effet, et il restaurera toutes choses.

KJV ¹¹ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

TR1550 ¹¹ ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἠλίας μὲν ἔρχεται πρῶτον καὶ ἀποκαταστήσει πάντα

BCC ¹² Mais je vous dis qu'Élie est déjà venu ; et ils ne l'ont pas reconnu, mais ils l'on traité comme ils ont voulu. De même le Fils de l'homme doit souffrir par eux."

KJV ¹² But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

BCC ¹⁵ "Seigneur, ayez pitié de mon fils, car il est lunatique et il est bien mal : en effet il tombe souvent dans le feu et souvent dans l'eau.

KJV ¹⁵ Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

BCC ¹⁶ Je l'ai amené à vos disciples, et ils n'ont pas pu le guérir."

KJV ¹⁶ And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

BCC ¹⁷ Jésus répondit : "ô génération incrédule et perverse, jusques à quand serai-je avec vous ? Jusques à quand vous supporterai-je ? Amenez-le-moi ici."

KJV ¹⁷ Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

BCC ¹⁸ Et Jésus lui commanda avec force, et le démon sortit de lui, et l'enfant fut guéri à l'heure même.

KJV ¹⁸ And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

BCC ¹⁹ Alors les disciples vinrent trouver Jésus, en particulier, et dirent :" Pourquoi n'avons-nous pas pu le chasser ?"

BCC ²⁰ Il leur dit : "à cause de votre manque de foi. En vérité, je vous le dis, si vous avez de la foi comme un grain de sénevé, vous direz à cette montagne : passe d'ici là, et elle y passera, et rien ne vous sera impossible.

KJV ²⁰ And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

TR1550 ²⁰ ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς διὰ τὴν ἀπιστίαν ὑμῶν ἀμὴν γὰρ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐὰν ἔχητε πίστιν ὡς κόκκον σινάπεως ἐρεῖτε τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ μετάβηθι ἔντεῦθεν ἐκεῖ καὶ μεταβήσεται καὶ οὐδὲν ἀδυνατήσει ὑμῖν

BCC ²¹ Mais ce genre (de démon) n'est chassé que par la prière et le jeûne."

KJV ²¹ Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
