KJV ¹ Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

MAR ¹ Alors le Royaume des cieux sera semblable à dix vierges qui ayant pris leurs lampes, s'en allèrent au-devant de l'époux.

KJV ² And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

MAR ² Or il y en avait cinq sages, et cinq folles.

KJV ³ They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

MAR ³ Les folles, en prenant leurs lampes, n'avaient point pris d'huile avec elles.

KJV ⁴ But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

MAR ⁴ Mais les sages avaient pris de l'huile dans leurs vaisseaux avec leurs lampes.

KJV ⁵ While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

MAR ⁵ Et comme l'époux tardait à venir, elles sommeillèrent toutes, et s'endormirent.

KJV ⁶ And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

MAR ⁶ Or à minuit il se fit un cri, [disant] : voici, l'époux vient, sortez au-devant de lui.

KJV ⁷ Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

MAR ⁷ Alors toutes ces vierges se levèrent, et préparèrent leurs lampes.

KJV ⁸ And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

MAR ⁸ Et les folles dirent aux sages : donnez-nous de votre huile, car nos lampes s'éteignent.

KJV ⁹ But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

MAR ⁹ Mais les sages répondirent, en disant : [Nous ne pouvons vous en donner], de peur que nous n'en ayons pas assez pour nous et pour vous ; mais plutôt allez vers ceux qui en vendent, et en achetez pour vous-mêmes.

KJV ¹⁰ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

MAR ¹⁰ Or pendant qu'elles en allaient acheter, l'époux vint ; et celles qui étaient prêtes entrèrent avec lui dans la salle des noces, puis la porte fut fermée.

KJV ¹¹ Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

MAR ¹¹ Après cela les autres vierges vinrent aussi, et dirent : Seigneur ! Seigneur ! ouvre-nous !

KJV ¹² But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

MAR ¹² Mais il leur répondit, et dit : en vérité je ne vous connais point.

KJV ¹³ Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

MAR ¹³ Veillez donc ; car vous ne savez ni le jour ni l'heure en laquelle le Fils de l'homme viendra.
