BAN ²⁴ Et Moïse sortit et rapporta au peuple les paroles de l'Eternel, et il assembla soixante-dix hommes des Anciens du peuple et les fit tenir autour de la Tente.

KJV ²⁴ And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.

VULC ²⁴ Venit igitur Moyses, et narravit populo verba Domini, congregans septuaginta viros de senibus Israël, quos stare fecit circa tabernaculum.

WLC ²⁴ וַיֵּצֵ֣א מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיְדַבֵּר֙ אֶל־ הָעָ֔ם אֵ֖ת דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיֶּאֱסֹ֞ף שִׁבְעִ֥ים אִישׁ֙ מִזִּקְנֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם וַֽיַּעֲמֵ֥ד אֹתָ֖ם סְבִיבֹ֥ת הָאֹֽהֶל׃

BAN ²⁵ Et l'Eternel descendit dans la nuée et lui parla ; et il prit une partie de l'esprit qui était sur lui et le mit sur soixante-dix hommes, sur les Anciens. Et lorsque l'esprit se fut posé sur eux, ils prophétisèrent ; mais ils ne continuèrent pas.

KJV ²⁵ And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

VULC ²⁵ Descenditque Dominus per nubem, et locutus est ad eum, auferens de spiritu qui erat in Moyse, et dans septuaginta viris. Cumque requievisset in eis spiritus, prophetaverunt, nec ultra cessaverunt.

WLC ²⁵ וַיֵּ֨רֶד יְהוָ֥ה ׀ בֶּעָנָן֮ וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלָיו֒ וַיָּ֗אצֶל מִן־ הָר֙וּחַ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָלָ֔יו וַיִּתֵּ֕ן עַל־ שִׁבְעִ֥ים אִ֖ישׁ הַזְּקֵנִ֑ים וַיְהִ֗י כְּנ֤וֹחַ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ הָר֔וּחַ וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ וְלֹ֥א יָסָֽפוּ׃

BAN ²⁶ Et deux hommes étaient restés dans le camp, l'un nommé Eldad, le second Médad, et l'esprit reposa sur eux ; ils étaient parmi les inscrits, mais ne s'étaient pas rendus à la Tente : et ils prophétisèrent dans le camp.

KJV ²⁶ But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.

VULC ²⁶ Remanserant autem in castris duo viri, quorum unus vocabatur Eldad, et alter Medad, super quos requievit spiritus. Nam et ipsi descripti fuerant, et non exierant ad tabernaculum.

BAN ²⁷ Et des jeunes gens coururent l'annoncer à Moïse et dirent : Eldad et Médad prophétisent dans le camp.

KJV ²⁷ And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.

VULC ²⁷ Cumque prophetarent in castris, cucurrit puer, et nuntiavit Moysi, dicens : Eldad et Medad prophetant in castris.

WLC ²⁷ וַיָּ֣רָץ הַנַּ֔עַר וַיַּגֵּ֥ד לְמֹשֶׁ֖ה וַיֹּאמַ֑ר אֶלְדָּ֣ד וּמֵידָ֔ד מִֽתְנַבְּאִ֖ים בַּֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃

BAN ²⁸ Et Josué, fils de Nun, serviteur de Moïse dès sa jeunesse, prit la parole et dit : Mon seigneur Moïse, empêche-les !

KJV ²⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.

VULC ²⁸ Statim Josue filius Nun, minister Moysi, et electus e pluribus, ait : Domine mi Moyses, prohibe eos.

WLC ²⁸ וַיַּ֜עַן יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן־ נ֗וּן מְשָׁרֵ֥ת מֹשֶׁ֛ה מִבְּחֻרָ֖יו וַיֹּאמַ֑ר אֲדֹנִ֥י מֹשֶׁ֖ה כְּלָאֵֽם׃

BAN ²⁹ Et Moïse lui répondit : Es-tu jaloux pour moi ? Oh ! que tout le peuple de l'Eternel fût prophète, parce que l'Eternel mettrait son esprit sur eux !

KJV ²⁹ And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

VULC ²⁹ At ille : Quid, inquit æmularis pro me ? quis tribuat ut omnis populus prophetet, et det eis Dominus spiritum suum ?

WLC ²⁹ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לוֹ֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה הַֽמְקַנֵּ֥א אַתָּ֖ה לִ֑י וּמִ֨י יִתֵּ֜ן כָּל־ עַ֤ם יְהוָה֙ נְבִיאִ֔ים כִּי־ יִתֵּ֧ן יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־ רוּח֖וֹ עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

BAN ³⁰ Et Moïse se retira dans le camp, lui et les Anciens d'Israël.

KJV ³⁰ And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

VULC ³⁰ Reversusque est Moyses, et majores natu Israël in castra.

WLC ³⁰ וַיֵּאָסֵ֥ף מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶל־ הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה ה֖וּא וְזִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
