DRB ² et ils se levèrent devant Moïse, avec deux cent cinquante hommes des fils d'Israël, princes de l'assemblée, [hommes] appelés au conseil, des hommes de renom.

KJV ² And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

VULC ² surrexerunt contra Moysen, aliique filiorum Israël ducenti quinquaginta viri proceres synagogæ, et qui tempore concilii per nomina vocabantur.

DRB ³ Et ils s'attroupèrent contre Moïse et contre Aaron, et leur dirent : C'en est assez ! car toute l'assemblée, eux tous sont saints, et l'Éternel est au milieu d'eux ; et pourquoi vous élevez-vous au-dessus de la congrégation de l'Éternel ?

KJV ³ And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

VULC ³ Cumque stetissent adversum Moysen et Aaron, dixerunt : Sufficiat vobis, quia omnis multitudo sanctorum est, et in ipsis est Dominus : cur elevamini super populum Domini ?

DRB ⁴ Et Moïse l'entendit, et tomba sur sa face ;

KJV ⁴ And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:

DRB ⁵ et il parla à Coré et à toute son assemblée, disant : Demain, l'Éternel fera connaître qui est à lui, et qui est saint, et il le fera approcher de lui ; et celui qu'il a choisi, il le fera approcher de lui.

KJV ⁵ And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

KJV ⁷ And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.

DRB ⁹ Est-ce peu de chose pour vous que le Dieu d'Israël vous ait séparés de l'assemblée d'Israël, en vous faisant approcher de lui pour faire le service du tabernacle de l'Éternel, et pour vous tenir devant l'assemblée afin de la servir,

KJV ⁹ Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

VULC ⁹ num parum vobis est quod separavit vos Deus Israël ab omni populo, et junxit sibi, ut serviretis ei in cultu tabernaculi, et staretis coram frequentia populi, et ministraretis ei ?

DRB ¹⁰ - qu'il t'ait fait approcher, toi et tous tes frères, les fils de Lévi, avec toi,… que vous recherchiez aussi la sacrificature ?

KJV ¹⁰ And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?

VULC ¹⁰ idcirco ad se fecit accedere te et omnes fratres tuos filios Levi, ut vobis etiam sacerdotium vindicetis,

DRB ¹¹ C'est pourquoi, toi et toute ton assemblée, vous vous êtes rassemblés contre l'Éternel ; et Aaron, qui est-il, que vous murmuriez contre lui ?

KJV ¹¹ For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?

VULC ¹¹ et omnis globus tuus stet contra Dominum ? quid est enim Aaron ut murmuretis contra eum ?

DRB ¹² Et Moïse envoya appeler Dathan et Abiram, fils d'Éliab ; mais ils dirent : Nous ne monterons pas.

KJV ¹² And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:

KJV ¹³ Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?

DRB ²¹ Séparez-vous du milieu de cette assemblée, et je les consumerai en un moment.

KJV ²¹ Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

VULC ²¹ Separamini de medio congregationis hujus, ut eos repente disperdam.

DRB ²² Et ils tombèrent sur leurs faces, et dirent : Ô *Dieu ! Dieu des esprits de toute chair ! un seul homme péchera, et tu seras courroucé contre toute l'assemblée ?

KJV ²² And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

VULC ²² Qui ceciderunt proni in faciem, atque dixerunt : Fortissime Deus spirituum universæ carnis, num uno peccante, contra omnes ira tua desæviet ?

KJV ²⁴ Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

VULC ²⁴ Præcipe universo populo ut separetur a tabernaculis Core et Dathan et Abiron.

DRB ²⁵ Et Moïse se leva et alla vers Dathan et Abiram ; et les anciens d'Israël allèrent après lui.

KJV ²⁵ And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

VULC ²⁵ Surrexitque Moyses, et abiit ad Dathan et Abiron : et sequentibus eum senioribus Israël,

DRB ²⁶ Et il parla à l'assemblée, disant : Éloignez-vous, je vous prie, d'auprès des tentes de ces méchants hommes, et ne touchez à rien qui leur appartienne, de peur que vous ne périssiez dans tous leurs péchés.

KJV ²⁶ And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their's, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

VULC ²⁶ dixit ad turbam : Recedite a tabernaculis hominum impiorum, et nolite tangere quæ ad eos pertinent, ne involvamini in peccatis eorum.

DRB ²⁷ Et ils se retirèrent d'auprès de la demeure de Coré, de Dathan et d'Abiram, tout à l'entour. Et Dathan et Abiram sortirent, et se tinrent à l'entrée de leurs tentes avec leurs femmes, et leurs fils, et leurs petits enfants.

KJV ²⁷ So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

VULC ²⁷ Cumque recessissent a tentoriis eorum per circuitum, Dathan et Abiron egressi stabant in introitu papilionum suorum cum uxoribus et liberis, omnique frequentia.

DRB ²⁸ Et Moïse dit : À ceci vous connaîtrez que l'Éternel m'a envoyé pour faire toutes ces œuvres, car elles ne sont pas sorties de mon cœur :

KJV ²⁸ And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

VULC ²⁸ Et ait Moyses : In hoc scietis quod Dominus miserit me ut facerem universa quæ cernitis, et non ex proprio ea corde protulerim :

DRB ²⁹ si ceux-là meurent selon la mort de tout homme, et s'ils sont visités de la visitation de tout homme, l'Éternel ne m'a pas envoyé ;

KJV ²⁹ If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.

VULC ²⁹ si consueta hominum morte interierint, et visitaverit eos plaga, qua et ceteri visitari solent, non misit me Dominus :

DRB ³⁰ mais si l'Éternel crée une chose nouvelle, et que le sol ouvre sa bouche et les engloutisse avec tout ce qui est à eux, et qu'ils descendent vivants dans le shéol*, alors vous saurez que ces hommes ont méprisé l'Éternel.

KJV ³⁰ But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

KJV ³¹ And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:

KJV ³³ They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

VULC ³³ descenderuntque vivi in infernum operti humo, et perierunt de medio multitudinis.

KJV ³⁴ And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
