KJV ¹ Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.

MAR ¹ Or les filles de Tsélophcad, fils de Hépher, fils de Galaad, fils de Makir, fils de Manassé, d'entre les familles de Manassé, fils de Joseph, s'approchèrent ; et ce sont ici les noms de ces filles, Mahla, Noha, Hogla, Milca, et Tirtsa.

WLC ¹ וַתִּקְרַ֜בְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָ֗ד בֶּן־ חֵ֤פֶר בֶּן־ גִּלְעָד֙ בֶּן־ מָכִ֣יר בֶּן־ מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה לְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֖ת מְנַשֶּׁ֣ה בֶן־ יוֹסֵ֑ף וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ שְׁמ֣וֹת בְּנֹתָ֔יו מַחְלָ֣ה נֹעָ֔ה וְחָגְלָ֥ה וּמִלְכָּ֖ה וְתִרְצָֽה׃

KJV ² And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

MAR ² Elles se présentèrent devant Moïse, devant Eléazar Sacrificateur, devant les principaux et devant toute l'assemblée, à l'entrée du Tabernacle d'assignation, [et] dirent :

WLC ² וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֜דְנָה לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֗ה וְלִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֥י הַנְּשִׂיאִ֖ם וְכָל־ הָעֵדָ֑ה פֶּ֥תַח אֹֽהֶל־ מוֹעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹֽר׃

KJV ³ Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.

MAR ³ Notre père est mort au désert, qui toutefois n était point dans la troupe de ceux qui s'assemblèrent contre l'Eternel, [savoir] dans l'assemblée de Coré ; mais il est mort dans son péché, et il n'a point eu de fils.

WLC ³ אָבִינוּ֮ מֵ֣ת בַּמִּדְבָּר֒ וְה֨וּא לֹא־ הָיָ֜ה בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֗ה הַנּוֹעָדִ֛ים עַל־ יְהוָ֖ה בַּעֲדַת־ קֹ֑רַח כִּֽי־ בְחֶטְא֣וֹ מֵ֔ת וּבָנִ֖ים לֹא־ הָ֥יוּ לֽוֹ׃

KJV ⁴ Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.

MAR ⁴ Pourquoi le nom de notre père serait-il retranché de sa famille, parce qu'il n'a point de fils ? Donne-nous une possession parmi les frères de notre père.

WLC ⁴ לָ֣מָּה יִגָּרַ֤ע שֵׁם־ אָבִ֙ינוּ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹ כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בֵּ֑ן תְּנָה־ לָּ֣נוּ אֲחֻזָּ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽינוּ׃

KJV ⁵ And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.

MAR ⁵ Et Moïse rapporta leur cause devant l'Eternel.

WLC ⁵ וַיַּקְרֵ֥ב מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־ מִשְׁפָּטָ֖ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ⁶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

MAR ⁶ Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant :

WLC ⁶ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

KJV ⁷ The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.

MAR ⁷ Les filles de Tsélophcad parlent sagement. Tu ne manqueras pas de leur donner un héritage à posséder parmi les frères de leur père, et tu leur feras passer l'héritage de leur père.

WLC ⁷ כֵּ֗ן בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָד֮ דֹּבְרֹת֒ נָתֹ֨ן תִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֲחֻזַּ֣ת נַחֲלָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֣י אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֛ אֶת־ נַחֲלַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ן לָהֶֽן׃
