¹ Or la fête des Azymes, qu'on appelle Pâque, approchait ;
² et les grands prêtres et les scribes cherchaient comment ils pourraient le faire périr ; car ils craignaient le peuple.
³ Or Satan entra dans Judas, surnommé Iscariote, qui était du nombre des Douze.
⁴ Et il s'en alla conférer avec les grands prêtres et les commandants (du temple) sur le moyen de le leur livrer.
⁵ Ils furent dans la joie et convinrent de lui donner de l'argent.
⁶ Il se dit d'accord ; et il cherchait une occasion favorable pour le leur livrer sans tumulte de foule.

¹ Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
² And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
³ Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
⁴ And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.
⁵ And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
⁶ And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

¹ ἤγγιζεν δὲ ἡ ἑορτὴ τῶν ἀζύμων ἡ λεγομένη πάσχα
² καὶ ἐζήτουν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς τὸ πῶς ἀνέλωσιν αὐτόν ἐφοβοῦντο γὰρ τὸν λαόν
³ εἰσῆλθεν δὲ ὁ σατανᾶς εἰς ἰούδαν τὸν ἐπικαλούμενον ἰσκαριώτην ὄντα ἐκ τοῦ ἀριθμοῦ τῶν δώδεκα
⁴ καὶ ἀπελθὼν συνελάλησεν τοῖς ἀρχιερεῦσιν καὶ τοῖς στρατηγοῖς τὸ πῶς αὐτόν παραδῷ αὐτοῖς
⁵ καὶ ἐχάρησαν καὶ συνέθεντο αὐτῷ ἀργύριον δοῦναι
⁶ καὶ ἐξωμολόγησεν καὶ ἐζήτει εὐκαιρίαν τοῦ παραδοῦναι αὐτὸν αὐτοῖς ἄτερ ὄχλου
