KJV ¹ And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:

NEG ¹ L'Eternel dit à Moïse: Va vers Pharaon, car j'ai endurci son cœur et le cœur de ses serviteurs, pour faire éclater mes signes au milieu d'eux.

WLC ¹ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה בֹּ֖א אֶל־ פַּרְעֹ֑ה כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֞י הִכְבַּ֤דְתִּי אֶת־ לִבּוֹ֙ וְאֶת־ לֵ֣ב עֲבָדָ֔יו לְמַ֗עַן שִׁתִ֛י אֹתֹתַ֥י אֵ֖לֶּה בְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃

KJV ² And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

NEG ² C'est aussi pour que tu racontes à ton fils et au fils de ton fils comment j'ai traité les Egyptiens, et quels signes j'ai fait éclater au milieu d'eux. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.

WLC ² וּלְמַ֡עַן תְּסַפֵּר֩ בְּאָזְנֵ֨י בִנְךָ֜ וּבֶן־ בִּנְךָ֗ אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִתְעַלַּ֙לְתִּי֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם וְאֶת־ אֹתֹתַ֖י אֲשֶׁר־ שַׂ֣מְתִּי בָ֑ם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּי־ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ³ And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

NEG ³ Moïse et Aaron allèrent vers Pharaon, et lui dirent: Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu des Hébreux: Jusqu'à quand refuseras-tu de t'humilier devant moi? Laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'il me serve.

WLC ³ וַיָּבֹ֨א מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאַהֲרֹן֮ אֶל־ פַּרְעֹה֒ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים עַד־ מָתַ֣י מֵאַ֔נְתָּ לֵעָנֹ֖ת מִפָּנָ֑י שַׁלַּ֥ח עַמִּ֖י וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃

KJV ⁴ Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:

NEG ⁴ Si tu refuses de laisser aller mon peuple, voici, je ferai venir demain des sauterelles dans toute l'étendue de ton pays.

WLC ⁴ כִּ֛י אִם־ מָאֵ֥ן אַתָּ֖ה לְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ אֶת־ עַמִּ֑י הִנְנִ֨י מֵבִ֥יא מָחָ֛ר אַרְבֶּ֖ה בִּגְבֻלֶֽךָ׃

KJV ⁵ And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

NEG ⁵ Elles couvriront la surface de la terre, et l'on ne pourra plus voir la terre; elles dévoreront le reste de ce qui a échappé, ce que vous a laissé la grêle, elles dévoreront tous les arbres qui croissent dans vos champs;

WLC ⁵ וְכִסָּה֙ אֶת־ עֵ֣ין הָאָ֔רֶץ וְלֹ֥א יוּכַ֖ל לִרְאֹ֣ת אֶת־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וְאָכַ֣ל ׀ אֶת־ יֶ֣תֶר הַפְּלֵטָ֗ה הַנִּשְׁאֶ֤רֶת לָכֶם֙ מִן־ הַבָּרָ֔ד וְאָכַל֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הָעֵ֔ץ הַצֹּמֵ֥חַ לָכֶ֖ם מִן־ הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃

KJV ⁶ And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

NEG ⁶ elles rempliront tes maisons, les maisons de tous tes serviteurs et les maisons de tous les Egyptiens. Tes pères et les pères de tes pères n'auront rien vu de pareil depuis qu'ils existent sur la terre jusqu'à ce jour. Moïse se retira, et sortit de chez Pharaon.

WLC ⁶ וּמָלְא֨וּ בָתֶּ֜יךָ וּבָתֵּ֣י כָל־ עֲבָדֶיךָ֮ וּבָתֵּ֣י כָל־ מִצְרַיִם֒ אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־ רָא֤וּ אֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ וַאֲב֣וֹת אֲבֹתֶ֔יךָ מִיּ֗וֹם הֱיוֹתָם֙ עַל־ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וַיִּ֥פֶן וַיֵּצֵ֖א מֵעִ֥ם פַּרְעֹֽה׃

KJV ⁷ And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

NEG ⁷ Les serviteurs de Pharaon lui dirent: Jusqu'à quand cet homme sera-t-il pour nous un piège? Laisse aller ces gens, et qu'ils servent l'Eternel, leur Dieu. Ne vois-tu pas encore que l'Egypte périt?

WLC ⁷ וַיֹּאמְרוּ֩ עַבְדֵ֨י פַרְעֹ֜ה אֵלָ֗יו עַד־ מָתַי֙ יִהְיֶ֨ה זֶ֥ה לָ֙נוּ֙ לְמוֹקֵ֔שׁ שַׁלַּח֙ אֶת־ הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים וְיַֽעַבְד֖וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם הֲטֶ֣רֶם תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֥י אָבְדָ֖ה מִצְרָֽיִם׃

KJV ⁸ And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?

NEG ⁸ On fit revenir vers Pharaon Moïse et Aaron: Allez, leur dit-il, servez l'Eternel, votre Dieu. Qui sont ceux qui iront?

WLC ⁸ וַיּוּשַׁ֞ב אֶת־ מֹשֶׁ֤ה וְאֶֽת־ אַהֲרֹן֙ אֶל־ פַּרְעֹ֔ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם לְכ֥וּ עִבְד֖וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם מִ֥י וָמִ֖י הַהֹלְכִֽים׃

KJV ⁹ And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

NEG ⁹ Moïse répondit: Nous irons avec nos enfants et nos vieillards, avec nos fils et nos filles, avec nos brebis et nos bœufs; car c'est pour nous une fête en l'honneur de l'Eternel.

WLC ⁹ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה בִּנְעָרֵ֥ינוּ וּבִזְקֵנֵ֖ינוּ נֵלֵ֑ךְ בְּבָנֵ֨ינוּ וּבִבְנוֹתֵ֜נוּ בְּצֹאנֵ֤נוּ וּבִבְקָרֵ֙נוּ֙ נֵלֵ֔ךְ כִּ֥י חַג־ יְהוָ֖ה לָֽנוּ׃

KJV ¹⁰ And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

NEG ¹⁰ Pharaon leur dit: Que l'Eternel soit avec vous, tout comme je vais vous laisser aller, vous et vos enfants! Prenez garde, car le malheur est devant vous!

WLC ¹⁰ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם יְהִ֨י כֵ֤ן יְהוָה֙ עִמָּכֶ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר אֲשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶתְכֶ֖ם וְאֶֽת־ טַפְּכֶ֑ם רְא֕וּ כִּ֥י רָעָ֖ה נֶ֥גֶד פְּנֵיכֶֽם׃

KJV ¹¹ Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

NEG ¹¹ Non, non; allez, vous les hommes, et servez l'Eternel, car c'est là ce que vous avez demandé. Et on les chassa de la présence de Pharaon.

KJV ¹² And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.

NEG ¹² L'Eternel dit à Moïse: Etends ta main sur le pays d'Egypte, et que les sauterelles montent sur le pays d'Egypte; qu'elles dévorent toute l'herbe de la terre, tout ce que la grêle a laissé.

WLC ¹² וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֗ה נְטֵ֨ה יָדְךָ֜ עַל־ אֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ בָּֽאַרְבֶּ֔ה וְיַ֖עַל עַל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְיֹאכַל֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ עֵ֣שֶׂב הָאָ֔רֶץ אֵ֛ת כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִשְׁאִ֖יר הַבָּרָֽד׃

KJV ¹³ And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

NEG ¹³ Moïse étendit sa verge sur le pays d'Egypte; et l'Eternel fit souffler un vent d'orient sur le pays toute cette journée et toute la nuit. Quand ce fut le matin, le vent d'orient avait apporté les sauterelles.

WLC ¹³ וַיֵּ֨ט מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶת־ מַטֵּהוּ֮ עַל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַיִם֒ וַֽיהוָ֗ה נִהַ֤ג ר֥וּחַ קָדִים֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ כָּל־ הַיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא וְכָל־ הַלָּ֑יְלָה הַבֹּ֣קֶר הָיָ֔ה וְר֙וּחַ֙ הַקָּדִ֔ים נָשָׂ֖א אֶת־ הָאַרְבֶּֽה׃

KJV ¹⁴ And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

NEG ¹⁴ Les sauterelles montèrent sur le pays d'Egypte, et se posèrent dans toute l'étendue de l'Egypte; elles étaient en si grande quantité qu'il n'y avait jamais eu et qu'il n'y aura jamais rien de semblable.

WLC ¹⁴ וַיַּ֣עַל הָֽאַרְבֶּ֗ה עַ֚ל כָּל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיָּ֕נַח בְּכֹ֖ל גְּב֣וּל מִצְרָ֑יִם כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד לְ֠פָנָיו לֹא־ הָ֨יָה כֵ֤ן אַרְבֶּה֙ כָּמֹ֔הוּ וְאַחֲרָ֖יו לֹ֥א יִֽהְיֶה־ כֵּֽן׃

KJV ¹⁵ For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

NEG ¹⁵ Elles couvrirent la surface de toute la terre, et la terre fut dans l'obscurité; elles dévorèrent toute l'herbe de la terre et tout le fruit des arbres, tout ce que la grêle avait laissé; et il ne resta aucune verdure aux arbres ni à l'herbe des champs, dans tout le pays d'Egypte.

WLC ¹⁵ וַיְכַ֞ס אֶת־ עֵ֣ין כָּל־ הָאָרֶץ֮ וַתֶּחְשַׁ֣ךְ הָאָרֶץ֒ וַיֹּ֜אכַל אֶת־ כָּל־ עֵ֣שֶׂב הָאָ֗רֶץ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־ פְּרִ֣י הָעֵ֔ץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הוֹתִ֖יר הַבָּרָ֑ד וְלֹא־ נוֹתַ֨ר כָּל־ יֶ֧רֶק בָּעֵ֛ץ וּבְעֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה בְּכָל־ אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

KJV ¹⁶ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

NEG ¹⁶ Aussitôt Pharaon appela Moïse et Aaron, et dit: J'ai péché contre l'Eternel, votre Dieu, et contre vous.

WLC ¹⁶ וַיְמַהֵ֣ר פַּרְעֹ֔ה לִקְרֹ֖א לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֑ן וַיֹּ֗אמֶר חָטָ֛אתִי לַיהוָ֥ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֖ם וְלָכֶֽם׃

KJV ¹⁷ Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.

NEG ¹⁷ Mais pardonne mon péché pour cette fois seulement; et priez l'Eternel, votre Dieu, afin qu'il éloigne de moi encore cette plaie mortelle.

WLC ¹⁷ וְעַתָּ֗ה שָׂ֣א נָ֤א חַטָּאתִי֙ אַ֣ךְ הַפַּ֔עַם וְהַעְתִּ֖ירוּ לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם וְיָסֵר֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י רַ֖ק אֶת־ הַמָּ֥וֶת הַזֶּֽה׃

KJV ¹⁸ And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

NEG ¹⁸ Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon, et il pria l'Eternel.

WLC ¹⁸ וַיֵּצֵ֖א מֵעִ֣ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה וַיֶּעְתַּ֖ר אֶל־ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ¹⁹ And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

NEG ¹⁹ L'Eternel fit souffler un vent d'occident très fort, qui emporta les sauterelles, et les précipita dans la mer Rouge; il ne resta pas une seule sauterelle dans toute l'étendue de l'Egypte.

WLC ¹⁹ וַיַּהֲפֹ֨ךְ יְהוָ֤ה רֽוּחַ־ יָם֙ חָזָ֣ק מְאֹ֔ד וַיִּשָּׂא֙ אֶת־ הָ֣אַרְבֶּ֔ה וַיִּתְקָעֵ֖הוּ יָ֣מָּה סּ֑וּף לֹ֤א נִשְׁאַר֙ אַרְבֶּ֣ה אֶחָ֔ד בְּכֹ֖ל גְּב֥וּל מִצְרָֽיִם׃

KJV ²⁰ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

NEG ²⁰ L'Eternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon, et Pharaon ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël.

WLC ²⁰ וַיְחַזֵּ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח אֶת־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ²¹ And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

KJV ²² And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

NEG ²² Moïse étendit sa main vers le ciel; et il y eut d'épaisses ténèbres dans tout le pays d'Egypte, pendant trois jours.

WLC ²² וַיֵּ֥ט מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־ יָד֖וֹ עַל־ הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וַיְהִ֧י חֹֽשֶׁךְ־ אֲפֵלָ֛ה בְּכָל־ אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת יָמִֽים׃

KJV ²³ They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

NEG ²³ On ne se voyait pas les uns les autres, et personne ne se leva de sa place pendant trois jours. Mais il y avait de la lumière dans les lieux où habitaient tous les enfants d'Israël.

WLC ²³ לֹֽא־ רָא֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־ אָחִ֗יו וְלֹא־ קָ֛מוּ אִ֥ישׁ מִתַּחְתָּ֖יו שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֑ים וּֽלְכָל־ בְּנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל הָ֥יָה א֖וֹר בְּמוֹשְׁבֹתָֽם׃

KJV ²⁴ And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

NEG ²⁴ Pharaon appela Moïse, et dit: Allez, servez l'Eternel. Il n'y aura que vos brebis et vos bœufs qui resteront, et vos enfants pourront aller avec vous.

WLC ²⁴ וַיִּקְרָ֨א פַרְעֹ֜ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לְכוּ֙ עִבְד֣וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֔ה רַ֛ק צֹאנְכֶ֥ם וּבְקַרְכֶ֖ם יֻצָּ֑ג גַּֽם־ טַפְּכֶ֖ם יֵלֵ֥ךְ עִמָּכֶֽם׃

KJV ²⁵ And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

NEG ²⁵ Moïse répondit: Tu mettras toi-même entre nos mains de quoi faire les sacrifices et les holocaustes que nous offrirons à l'Eternel, notre Dieu.

WLC ²⁵ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה גַּם־ אַתָּ֛ה תִּתֵּ֥ן בְּיָדֵ֖נוּ זְבָחִ֣ים וְעֹל֑וֹת וְעָשִׂ֖ינוּ לַיהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

KJV ²⁶ Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.

NEG ²⁶ Nos troupeaux iront avec nous, et il ne restera pas un ongle; car c'est là que nous prendrons pour servir l'Eternel, notre Dieu; et jusqu'à ce que nous soyons arrivés, nous ne savons pas ce que nous choisirons pour offrir à l'Eternel.

WLC ²⁶ וְגַם־ מִקְנֵ֜נוּ יֵלֵ֣ךְ עִמָּ֗נוּ לֹ֤א תִשָּׁאֵר֙ פַּרְסָ֔ה כִּ֚י מִמֶּ֣נּוּ נִקַּ֔ח לַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ לֹֽא־ נֵדַ֗ע מַֽה־ נַּעֲבֹד֙ אֶת־ יְהוָ֔ה עַד־ בֹּאֵ֖נוּ שָֽׁמָּה׃

KJV ²⁷ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

NEG ²⁷ L'Eternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon, et Pharaon ne voulut point les laisser aller.

WLC ²⁷ וַיְחַזֵּ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְלֹ֥א אָבָ֖ה לְשַׁלְּחָֽם׃

KJV ²⁸ And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.

NEG ²⁸ Pharaon dit à Moïse: Sors de chez moi! Garde-toi de paraître encore en ma présence, car le jour où tu paraîtras en ma présence, tu mourras.

WLC ²⁸ וַיֹּֽאמֶר־ ל֥וֹ פַרְעֹ֖ה לֵ֣ךְ מֵעָלָ֑י הִשָּׁ֣מֶר לְךָ֗ אֶל־ תֹּ֙סֶף֙ רְא֣וֹת פָּנַ֔י כִּ֗י בְּי֛וֹם רְאֹתְךָ֥ פָנַ֖י תָּמֽוּת׃

KJV ²⁹ And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.

NEG ²⁹ Tu l'as dit! répliqua Moïse, je ne paraîtrai plus en ta présence.

WLC ²⁹ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה כֵּ֣ן דִּבַּ֑רְתָּ לֹא־ אֹסִ֥ף ע֖וֹד רְא֥וֹת פָּנֶֽיךָ׃

KJV ¹ And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

NEG ¹ L'Eternel dit à Moïse: Je ferai venir encore une plaie sur Pharaon et sur l'Egypte. Après cela, il vous laissera partir d'ici. Lorsqu'il vous laissera tout à fait aller, il vous chassera même d'ici.

KJV ² Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

KJV ³ And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

NEG ³ L'Eternel fit trouver grâce au peuple aux yeux des Egyptiens; Moïse lui-même était très considéré dans le pays d'Egypte, aux yeux des serviteurs de Pharaon et aux yeux du peuple.

KJV ⁴ And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

NEG ⁴ Moïse dit: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Vers le milieu de la nuit, je passerai au travers de l'Egypte;

WLC ⁴ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה כַּחֲצֹ֣ת הַלַּ֔יְלָה אֲנִ֥י יוֹצֵ֖א בְּת֥וֹךְ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

KJV ⁵ And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

NEG ⁵ et tous les premiers-nés mourront dans le pays d'Egypte, depuis le premier-né de Pharaon assis sur son trône, jusqu'au premier-né de la servante qui est derrière la meule, et jusqu'à tous les premiers-nés des animaux.

KJV ⁶ And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

NEG ⁶ Il y aura dans tout le pays d'Egypte de grands cris, tels qu'il n'y en a point eu et qu'il n'y en aura plus de semblables.

WLC ⁶ וְהָֽיְתָ֛ה צְעָקָ֥ה גְדֹלָ֖ה בְּכָל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּמֹ֙הוּ֙ לֹ֣א נִהְיָ֔תָה וְכָמֹ֖הוּ לֹ֥א תֹסִֽף׃

KJV ⁷ But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

NEG ⁷ Mais parmi tous les enfants d'Israël, depuis les hommes jusqu'aux animaux, pas même un chien ne remuera sa langue, afin que vous sachiez quelle différence l'Eternel fait entre l'Egypte et Israël.

WLC ⁷ וּלְכֹ֣ל ׀ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לֹ֤א יֶֽחֱרַץ־ כֶּ֙לֶב֙ לְשֹׁנ֔וֹ לְמֵאִ֖ישׁ וְעַד־ בְּהֵמָ֑ה לְמַ֙עַן֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּן אֲשֶׁר֙ יַפְלֶ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה בֵּ֥ין מִצְרַ֖יִם וּבֵ֥ין יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJV ⁸ And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

NEG ⁸ Alors tous tes serviteurs que voici descendront vers moi et se prosterneront devant moi, en disant: Sors, toi et tout le peuple qui s'attache à tes pas! Après cela, je sortirai. Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon, dans une ardente colère.

KJV ⁹ And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

KJV ¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

NEG ¹⁰ Moïse et Aaron firent tous ces miracles devant Pharaon, et l'Eternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon qui ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël hors de son pays.

KJV ² This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

KJV ³ Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

NEG ³ Parlez à toute l'assemblée d'Israël, et dites: Le dixième jour de ce mois, on prendra un agneau pour chaque famille, un agneau pour chaque maison.

KJV ⁴ And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

NEG ⁴ Si la maison est trop peu nombreuse pour un agneau, on le prendra avec son plus proche voisin, selon le nombre des personnes; vous compterez pour cet agneau d'après ce que chacun peut manger.

WLC ⁴ וְאִם־ יִמְעַ֣ט הַבַּיִת֮ מִהְיֹ֣ת מִשֶּׂה֒ וְלָקַ֣ח ה֗וּא וּשְׁכֵנ֛וֹ הַקָּרֹ֥ב אֶל־ בֵּית֖וֹ בְּמִכְסַ֣ת נְפָשֹׁ֑ת אִ֚ישׁ לְפִ֣י אָכְל֔וֹ תָּכֹ֖סּוּ עַל־ הַשֶּֽׂה׃

KJV ⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

NEG ⁵ Ce sera un agneau sans défaut, mâle, âgé d'un an; vous pourrez prendre un agneau ou un chevreau.

WLC ⁵ שֶׂ֥ה תָמִ֛ים זָכָ֥ר בֶּן־ שָׁנָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם מִן־ הַכְּבָשִׂ֥ים וּמִן־ הָעִזִּ֖ים תִּקָּֽחוּ׃

KJV ⁶ And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

NEG ⁶ Vous le garderez jusqu'au quatorzième jour de ce mois; et toute l'assemblée d'Israël l'immolera entre les deux soirs.

WLC ⁶ וְהָיָ֤ה לָכֶם֙ לְמִשְׁמֶ֔רֶת עַ֣ד אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַזֶּ֑ה וְשָׁחֲט֣וּ אֹת֗וֹ כֹּ֛ל קְהַ֥ל עֲדַֽת־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֵּ֥ין הָעַרְבָּֽיִם׃

KJV ⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

NEG ⁷ On prendra de son sang, et on en mettra sur les deux poteaux et sur le linteau de la porte des maisons où on le mangera.

KJV ⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

NEG ⁸ Cette même nuit, on en mangera la chair, rôtie au feu; on la mangera avec des pains sans levain et des herbes amères.

KJV ⁹ Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

KJV ¹⁰ And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

NEG ¹⁰ Vous n'en laisserez rien jusqu'au matin; et, s'il en reste quelque chose le matin, vous le brûlerez au feu.

KJV ¹¹ And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.

NEG ¹¹ Quand vous le mangerez, vous aurez vos reins ceints, vos souliers aux pieds, et votre bâton à la main; et vous le mangerez à la hâte. C'est la Pâque de l'Eternel.

KJV ¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

KJV ¹³ And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

NEG ¹³ Le sang vous servira de signe sur les maisons où vous serez; je verrai le sang, et je passerai par-dessus vous, et il n'y aura point de plaie qui vous détruise, quand je frapperai le pays d'Egypte.

KJV ¹⁴ And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

NEG ¹⁴ Vous conserverez le souvenir de ce jour, et vous le célébrerez par une fête en l'honneur de l'Eternel; vous le célébrerez comme une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants.

WLC ¹⁴ וְהָיָה֩ הַיּ֨וֹם הַזֶּ֤ה לָכֶם֙ לְזִכָּר֔וֹן וְחַגֹּתֶ֥ם אֹת֖וֹ חַ֣ג לַֽיהוָ֑ה לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם חֻקַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם תְּחָגֻּֽהוּ׃

KJV ¹⁵ Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

NEG ¹⁵ Pendant sept jours, vous mangerez des pains sans levain. Dès le premier jour, il n'y aura plus de levain dans vos maisons; car toute personne qui mangera du pain levé, du premier jour au septième jour, sera retranchée d'Israël.

KJV ¹⁶ And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

NEG ¹⁶ Le premier jour, vous aurez une sainte convocation; et le septième jour, vous aurez une sainte convocation. On ne fera aucun travail ces jours-là; vous pourrez seulement préparer la nourriture de chaque personne.

KJV ¹⁷ And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

NEG ¹⁷ Vous observerez la fête des pains sans levain, car c'est en ce jour même que j'aurai fait sortir vos armées du pays d'Egypte; vous observerez ce jour comme une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants.

KJV ¹⁸ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

KJV ¹⁹ Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

KJV ²⁰ Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

KJV ²¹ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

KJV ²² And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

NEG ²² Vous prendrez ensuite un bouquet d'hysope, vous le tremperez dans le sang qui sera dans le bassin, et vous toucherez le linteau et les deux poteaux de la porte avec le sang qui sera dans le bassin. Nul de vous ne sortira de sa maison jusqu'au matin.

KJV ²³ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

NEG ²³ Quand l'Eternel passera pour frapper l'Egypte, et verra le sang sur le linteau et sur les deux poteaux, l'Eternel passera par-dessus la porte, et il ne permettra pas au destructeur d'entrer dans vos maisons pour frapper.

KJV ²⁴ And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

KJV ²⁵ And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

NEG ²⁵ Quand vous serez entrés dans le pays que l'Eternel vous donnera, selon sa promesse, vous observerez cet usage sacré.

KJV ²⁶ And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

NEG ²⁶ Et lorsque vos enfants vous diront: Que signifie pour vous cet usage?

KJV ²⁷ That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

NEG ²⁷ Vous répondrez: C'est le sacrifice de Pâque en l'honneur de l'Eternel, qui a passé par-dessus les maisons des enfants d'Israël en Egypte, lorsqu'il frappa l'Egypte et qu'il sauva nos maisons. Le peuple s'inclina et adora.

KJV ²⁸ And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

KJV ²⁹ And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

KJV ³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

KJV ³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.

NEG ³¹ Dans la nuit même, Pharaon appela Moïse et Aaron, et leur dit: Levez-vous, sortez du milieu de mon peuple, vous et les enfants d'Israël. Allez, servez l'Eternel, comme vous l'avez dit.

KJV ³² Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

KJV ³⁴ And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

KJV ³⁵ And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

NEG ³⁵ Les enfants d'Israël firent ce que Moïse avait dit, et ils demandèrent aux Egyptiens des vases d'argent, des vases d'or et des vêtements.

KJV ³⁶ And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

KJV ³⁷ And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

KJV ³⁸ And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

KJV ³⁹ And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

KJV ⁴⁰ Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

KJV ⁴² It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

KJV ⁴⁴ But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

KJV ⁴⁵ A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.

KJV ⁴⁶ In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

KJV ⁴⁸ And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

NEG ⁴⁸ Si un étranger en séjour chez toi veut faire la Pâque de l'Eternel, tout homme de sa maison devra être circoncis; alors il s'approchera pour la faire, et il sera comme l'indigène; mais aucun incirconcis n'en mangera.

KJV ⁴⁹ One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

KJV ⁵¹ And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
