BAN ²¹ Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : Etends ta main vers le ciel et qu'il y ait des ténèbres sur le pays d'Egypte et qu'on tâtonne dans les ténèbres !

KJV ²¹ And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

WLC ²¹ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֗ה נְטֵ֤ה יָֽדְךָ֙ עַל־ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וִ֥יהִי חֹ֖שֶׁךְ עַל־ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְיָמֵ֖שׁ חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃

BAN ²² Et Moïse étendit la main vers le ciel et il y eut d'épaisses ténèbres dans tout le pays d'Egypte pendant trois jours.

KJV ²² And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

WLC ²² וַיֵּ֥ט מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־ יָד֖וֹ עַל־ הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וַיְהִ֧י חֹֽשֶׁךְ־ אֲפֵלָ֛ה בְּכָל־ אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת יָמִֽים׃

BAN ²³ 0n ne se voyait plus les uns les autres, et nul ne se leva de la place où il était pendant trois jours. Mais tous les fils d'Israël avaient de la lumière dans les lieux qu'ils habitaient.

KJV ²³ They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

WLC ²³ לֹֽא־ רָא֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־ אָחִ֗יו וְלֹא־ קָ֛מוּ אִ֥ישׁ מִתַּחְתָּ֖יו שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֑ים וּֽלְכָל־ בְּנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל הָ֥יָה א֖וֹר בְּמוֹשְׁבֹתָֽם׃

BAN ²⁴ Et Pharaon appela Moïse et lui dit : Allez, servez l'Eternel. On ne retiendra que vos brebis et vos boeufs ; vos petits enfants même iront avec vous.

KJV ²⁴ And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

WLC ²⁴ וַיִּקְרָ֨א פַרְעֹ֜ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לְכוּ֙ עִבְד֣וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֔ה רַ֛ק צֹאנְכֶ֥ם וּבְקַרְכֶ֖ם יֻצָּ֑ג גַּֽם־ טַפְּכֶ֖ם יֵלֵ֥ךְ עִמָּכֶֽם׃

BAN ²⁵ Et Moïse dit : Non seulement tu nous remettras de quoi faire des sacrifices et des holocaustes à l'Eternel notre Dieu,

KJV ²⁵ And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

WLC ²⁵ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה גַּם־ אַתָּ֛ה תִּתֵּ֥ן בְּיָדֵ֖נוּ זְבָחִ֣ים וְעֹל֑וֹת וְעָשִׂ֖ינוּ לַיהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

BAN ²⁶ mais encore nos troupeaux viendront avec nous, sans qu'il en reste un ongle ! Car c'est d'eux que nous prendrons de quoi servir l'Eternel notre Dieu, et jusqu'à ce que nous soyons arrivés là, nous ne saurons pas nous-mêmes ce que nous offrirons à l'Eternel.

KJV ²⁶ Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.

WLC ²⁶ וְגַם־ מִקְנֵ֜נוּ יֵלֵ֣ךְ עִמָּ֗נוּ לֹ֤א תִשָּׁאֵר֙ פַּרְסָ֔ה כִּ֚י מִמֶּ֣נּוּ נִקַּ֔ח לַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ לֹֽא־ נֵדַ֗ע מַֽה־ נַּעֲבֹד֙ אֶת־ יְהוָ֔ה עַד־ בֹּאֵ֖נוּ שָֽׁמָּה׃

BAN ²⁷ Et l'Eternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, et il ne consentit pas à les laisser aller.

KJV ²⁷ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

WLC ²⁷ וַיְחַזֵּ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְלֹ֥א אָבָ֖ה לְשַׁלְּחָֽם׃

BAN ²⁸ Et Pharaon dit à Moïse : Eloigne-toi de moi, prends garde à toi, ne parais plus devant moi ! car le jour où tu paraîtras devant moi, tu mourras.

KJV ²⁸ And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.

WLC ²⁸ וַיֹּֽאמֶר־ ל֥וֹ פַרְעֹ֖ה לֵ֣ךְ מֵעָלָ֑י הִשָּׁ֣מֶר לְךָ֗ אֶל־ תֹּ֙סֶף֙ רְא֣וֹת פָּנַ֔י כִּ֗י בְּי֛וֹם רְאֹתְךָ֥ פָנַ֖י תָּמֽוּת׃

BAN ²⁹ Et Moïse dit : Tu l'as dit, je ne reparaîtrai plus devant toi.

KJV ²⁹ And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.

WLC ²⁹ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה כֵּ֣ן דִּבַּ֑רְתָּ לֹא־ אֹסִ֥ף ע֖וֹד רְא֥וֹת פָּנֶֽיךָ׃
