KJV ²¹ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

KJV ²² And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

LSG ²² Vous prendrez ensuite un bouquet d'hysope, vous le tremperez dans le sang qui sera dans le bassin, et vous toucherez le linteau et les deux poteaux de la porte avec le sang qui sera dans le bassin. Nul de vous ne sortira de sa maison jusqu'au matin.

VULC ²² Fasciculumque hyssopi tingite in sanguine qui est in limine, et aspergite ex eo superliminare, et utrumque postem : nullus vestrum egrediatur ostium domus suæ usque mane.

KJV ²³ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

LSG ²³ Quand l'Éternel passera pour frapper l'Égypte, et verra le sang sur le linteau et sur les deux poteaux, l'Éternel passera par-dessus la porte, et il ne permettra pas au destructeur d'entrer dans vos maisons pour frapper.

VULC ²³ Transibit enim Dominus percutiens Ægyptios : cumque viderit sanguinem in superliminari, et in utroque poste, transcendet ostium domus, et non sinet percussorem ingredi domos vestras et lædere.

KJV ²⁴ And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

LSG ²⁴ Vous observerez cela comme une loi pour vous et pour vos enfants à perpétuité.

VULC ²⁴ Custodi verbum istud legitimum tibi et filiis tuis usque in æternum.

KJV ²⁵ And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

LSG ²⁵ Quand vous serez entrés dans le pays que l'Éternel vous donnera, selon sa promesse, vous observerez cet usage sacré.

VULC ²⁵ Cumque introieritis terram, quam Dominus daturus est vobis ut pollicitus est, observabitis cæremonias istas.

KJV ²⁶ And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

LSG ²⁶ Et lorsque vos enfants vous diront: Que signifie pour vous cet usage ?

VULC ²⁶ Et cum dixerint vobis filii vestri : Quæ est ista religio ?

KJV ²⁷ That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

LSG ²⁷ vous répondrez: C'est le sacrifice de Pâque en l'honneur de l'Éternel, qui a passé par-dessus les maisons des enfants d'Israël en Égypte, lorsqu'il frappa l'Égypte et qu'il sauva nos maisons. Le peuple s'inclina et se prosterna.

VULC ²⁷ Dicetis eis : Victima transitus Domini est, quando transivit super domos filiorum Israël in Ægypto, percutiens Ægyptios, et domos nostras liberans. Incurvatusque populus adoravit.

KJV ²⁸ And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

LSG ²⁸ Et les enfants d'Israël s'en allèrent, et firent ce que l'Éternel avait ordonné à Moïse et à Aaron ; ils firent ainsi.

VULC ²⁸ Et egressi filii Israël fecerunt sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi et Aaron.
