BCC ³ la parole de Yahweh fut adressée à Ézechiel, fils de Buzi, prêtre, dans le pays des Chaldéens, près du fleuve Chobar, et là, la main de Yahweh fut sur lui.

KJV ³ The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

BCC ⁴ Je vis, et voici qu'un vent de tempête venait du septentrion, et une grande nuée, et une masse de feu qui resplendissait alentour ; et au milieu d'elle on voyait comme l'aspect d'un métal plongé dans le feu.

KJV ⁴ And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

BCC ⁵ Et au milieu je vis la ressemblance de quatre êtres vivants, et voici quel était leur aspect : ils avaient une ressemblance humaine.

KJV ⁵ Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

BCC ⁶ Chacun avait quatre faces, et chacun avait quatre ailes.

KJV ⁶ And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

BCC ⁷ Leurs pieds étaient des pieds droits, et la plante de leurs pieds était comme la plante du pied d'un veau ; ils étincelaient comme l'aspect de l'airain poli.

KJV ⁷ And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

BCC ⁸ Des mains d'hommes sortaient de dessous leurs ailes, sur leurs quatre côtés ; et tous les quatre avaient leurs faces et leurs ailes.

KJV ⁸ And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

BCC ⁹ Leurs ailes étaient jointes l'une à l'autre ; ils ne tournaient point en marchant ; chacun allait devant soi.

KJV ⁹ Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

BCC ¹⁰ Et voici quelle était la ressemblance de leurs faces : une face d'hermine par devant, une face de lion à droite à tous les quatre, une face de taureau à gauche à tous les quatre, et une face d'aigle à tous les quatre.

KJV ¹⁰ As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

BCC ¹¹ Et telles étaient leurs faces. Leurs ailes se déployaient au-dessus d'eux ; chacun avait deux ailes qui rejoignaient celles de l'autre, et deux ailes qui couvraient son corps.

BCC ¹³ L'aspect de ces êtres vivants ressemblait à des charbons ardents ; c'était comme l'aspect des lampes ; le feu circulait entre les êtres, le feu était éblouissant, et du feu sortaient des éclairs.

KJV ¹³ As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

BCC ¹⁴ Et les êtres vivants couraient en tous sens, comme l'aspect de la foudre.

KJV ¹⁴ And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

BCC ¹⁵ Et je regardai les êtres vivants, et voici une roue à terre auprès d'eux, devant leurs quatre faces.

KJV ¹⁵ Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.

BCC ¹⁶ L'aspect des roues et leur forme étaient ceux de la pierre de Tharsis, et toutes quatre étaient semblables ; leur aspect et leur forme étaient comme si une roue était au milieu d'une autre roue.

KJV ¹⁶ The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

BCC ¹⁷ En avançant, elles allaient sur leurs quatre côtés et ne se retournaient pas dans leur marche.

KJV ¹⁷ When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.

BCC ¹⁸ Leurs jantes étaient d'une hauteur effrayante, et les jantes des quatre roues étaient remplies d'yeux tout autour.

KJV ¹⁸ As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.

BCC ¹⁹ Quand les êtres allaient, les roues allaient aussi à côté d'eux, et quand les êtres s'élevaient de terre, les roues s'élevaient aussi.

KJV ¹⁹ And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

BCC ²⁰ Là où l'esprit les poussait à aller, ils y allaient, l'esprit les y poussant, et les roues s'élevaient avec eux ; car l'esprit de l'être vivant était dans les roues.

KJV ²⁰ Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

BCC ²¹ Quand ils allaient, elles allaient ; quand ils s'arrêtaient, elles s'arrêtaient ; et quand ils s'élevaient de terre, les roues s'élevaient avec eux ; car l'esprit de l'être vivant était dans les roues.

KJV ²¹ When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

KJV ²⁴ And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

BCC ²⁵ Et il se faisait un bruit, partant du firmament étendu sur leurs têtes ; quand ils s'arrêtaient, ils laissaient retomber leur ailes.

KJV ²⁵ And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

BCC ²⁶ Au-dessus du firmament qui était sur leurs têtes, il y avait comme l'aspect d'une pierre de saphir, en forme de trône ; et sur cette ressemblance de trône, il semblait y avoir comme une figure d'homme au-dessus.

KJV ²⁶ And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

BCC ²⁷ Au-dedans et alentour, je vis comme une forme de métal, comme un aspect de feu, depuis ce qui paraissait ses reins et au-dessus ; et depuis ce qui paraissait ses reins et au-dessous, je vis comme l'aspect du feu, et il y avait de l'éclat tout autour de lui.

KJV ²⁷ And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

BCC ²⁸ Comme l'aspect de l'arc qui est dans la nuée en un jour de pluie, tel était l'aspect de l'éclat tout autour de lui. Tel était l'aspect de la ressemblance de la gloire de Yahweh

KJV ²⁸ As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

BCC ¹ A cette vue, je tombai sur ma face, et j'entendis la voix de quelqu'un qui parlait.

KJV ¹ And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

BCC ² Il me dit « Fils de l'homme, tiens-toi sur tes pieds, et je te parlerai. » Et comme il me parlait, l'Esprit entra en moi et me fit tenir sur mes pieds, et j'entendis celui qui me parlait.

KJV ² And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

BCC ³ Il me dit « Fils de l'homme, je t'envoie vers les enfants d'Israël, vers les peuples rebelles qui se sont révoltés contre moi ; eux et leurs pères ont péché contre moi, même jusqu'à ce jour.

KJV ³ And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

BCC ⁴ Ces fils à la face impudente et au coeur endurci, c'est vers eux que je t'envoie. Et tu leur diras : Ainsi a parlé le Seigneur Yahweh.

KJV ⁴ For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

BCC ⁵ Pour eux, qu'ils écoutent ou n'écoutent point ‒ car c'est une maison de rebelles, ‒ ils sauront qu'il y a eu un prophète au milieu d'eux.

KJV ⁵ And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

BCC ⁶ Et toi, fils de l'homme, ne les crains pas et n'aie pas peur de leurs paroles, car tu es avec des chardons et des épines, et tu habites avec des scorpions. N'aie pas peur de leurs paroles et ne redoute pas leurs faces, car c'est une maison de rebelles.

KJV ⁶ And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

BCC ⁷ Et tu leur diras mes paroles, qu'ils écoutent ou n'écoutent pas, car ce sont des rebelles.

KJV ⁷ And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

BCC ⁸ Et toi, fils de l'homme, écoute ce que je te dis « Ne sois pas rebelle comme la maison rebelle. Ouvre ta bouche et mange ce que je te donne. »

KJV ⁸ But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

BCC ⁹ Je regardai, et voici qu'une main était tendue vers moi, et voici qu'elle tenait un livre roulé.

KJV ⁹ And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

BCC ¹⁰ il le déroula devant moi, et il était écrit en dedans et en dehors ; et ce qui y était écrit était des chants de deuil, des lamentations et des plaintes.

KJV ¹⁰ And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

BCC ¹ Et il me dit « Fils de l'homme, ce que tu trouves devant toi, mange-le ; mange ce livre ; puis va, parle à la maison d' Israël. »

KJV ¹ Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

BCC ² J'ouvris la bouche, et il me fit manger ce livre ; et il me dit :

KJV ² So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

BCC ³ «»Fils de l'homme, repais ton ventre et remplis tes entrailles de ce livre que je te donne. » Je le mangeai, et il fut dans ma bouche doux comme du miel.

KJV ³ And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

BCC ⁴ Et il me dit « Fils de l'homme,va vers la maison d'Israël, et tu leur diras mes paroles.

KJV ⁴ And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

BCC ⁵ Car ce n'est point vers un peuple au parler étrange et à la langue barbare que tu es envoyé ; c'est vers la maison d'Israël.

KJV ⁵ For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

BCC ⁶ Ce n'est point vers des peuples nombreux au parler étrange et à la langue barbare, dont tu ne comprendrais pas les paroles mais c'est vers eux que je t'envoie ; eux peuvent te comprendre.

KJV ⁶ Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

BCC ⁷ Et la maison d'Israël ne voudra pas t'écouter, parce qu'ils ne veulent pas m'écouter ; car toute la maison d'Israël a le front endurci et le coeur impudent.

KJV ⁷ But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

BCC ⁸ Mais voici que j'ai rendu la face dure comme leur face, et ton front dur comme leur front.

KJV ⁸ Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

BCC ⁹ J'ai rendu ton front comme le diamant, plus dur que le roc. Ne les crains point, et ne tremble point devant eux, car c'est une maison rebelle ».

KJV ⁹ As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

BCC ¹⁰ Et il me dit « Fils de l'homme toutes les paroles que je te dirai, reçois-les dans ton coeur et écoute-les de tes oreilles.

KJV ¹⁰ Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

BCC ¹¹ Va, rends-toi auprès des captifs, vers les fils de ton peuple, et parle-leur en leur disant : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh soit qu'ils écoutent, soit qu'ils n'écoutent pas. »

KJV ¹¹ And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

BCC ¹² L'Esprit m'enleva, et j'entendis derrière moi le bruit d'un grand fracas « Bénie soit la gloire de Yahweh au lieu de sa demeure ? »

KJV ¹² Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

BCC ¹³ Et j'entendis le bruit des ailes des êtres vivants qui battaient l'une contre l'autre et le bruit des roues à leurs côtés, et le bruit d'un grand fracas.

KJV ¹³ I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.

BCC ¹⁴ Et l'Esprit m'enleva et m'emporta, et je m'en allai l'amertume et le courroux dans l'âme ; et la main de Yahweh était fortement sur moi.

KJV ¹⁴ So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

BCC ¹⁵ Et j'arrivai à Tel-Abid, auprès des captifs qui demeuraient aux bords du fleuve Chobar et dans le lieu où ils demeuraient ; là je demeurai sept jours dans la stupeur, au milieu d'eux.

KJV ¹⁵ Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

KJV ¹⁶ And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

BCC ¹⁷ « Fils de l'homme, je t'établis comme sentinelle pour la maison d'Israël ; tu écouteras la parole qui sortira de ma bouche et tu les avertiras de ma part.

KJV ¹⁷ Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

BCC ¹⁸ Si je dis au méchant : Tu mourras certainement, et que tu ne l'avertisses pas, et que tu ne parles pas pour l'avertir de sa voie mauvaise, afin qu'il vive, ce méchant mourra dans son iniquité ; et je redemanderai son sang de ta main.

KJV ¹⁸ When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

BCC ¹⁹ Mais si tu avertis le méchant, et qu'il ne se détourne pas de sa méchanceté et de sa mauvaise voie, il mourra dans son iniquité ; mais toi, tu auras sauvé ton âme.

KJV ¹⁹ Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

BCC ²⁰ Si un juste se détourne de sa justice et commet l'iniquité, et que je mette un piège devant lui, il mourra ; parce que tu ne l'auras pas averti, il mourra dans son péché ; on ne se souviendra plus de ses oeuvres de justice qu'il aura faites ; et je redemanderai son sang de ta nain.

KJV ²⁰ Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

BCC ²¹ Mais si tu as averti un juste pour que ce juste ne pèche pas, et qu'il n'ait pas péché, il vivra certainement, parce qu'il aura été averti ;et toi tu auras sauvé ton âme.

KJV ²¹ Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

BCC ²² La main de Yahweh fut là sur moi, et il me dit « Lève-toi, sors vers la plaine, et là je te parlerai. »

KJV ²² And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.

BCC ²³ M'étant levé, je sortis vers la plaine, et voici que la gloire de Yahweh se tenait là, telle que la gloire que j'avais vue près du fleuve Chobar ; et je tombai sur ma face.

KJV ²³ Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.

BCC ²⁴ L'Esprit entra en moi et me fit tenir sur mes pieds ; et Yahweh me parla et me dit : « va t'enfermer au milieu de ta maison.

KJV ²⁴ Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

BCC ²⁵ Et toi, fils de l'homme, voici qu'on va mettre sur toi des cordes et on t'en liera, et tu ne sortiras pas au milieu d'eux.

KJV ²⁵ But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:

BCC ²⁶ Et j'attacherai ta langue à ton palais, tu seras muet, et tu ne seras pas pour eux un censeur ; car ils sont une maison rebelle.

KJV ²⁶ And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.

BCC ²⁷ Et quand je te parlerai, j'ouvrirai ta bouche, et tu leur diras : ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Qui veut écouter, qu'il écoute, et qui veut s'en abstenir, qu'il s'en abstienne ; car ils s'ont une maison rebelle.

KJV ²⁷ But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

BCC ¹ Toi, fils de l'homme, prends une brique, pose-la devant toi, et tu y dessineras une ville, Jérusalem.

KJV ¹ Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:

BCC ² Mets le siège contre elle, construis contre elle une tour d'attaque, élève contre elle des terrasses : place contre elle des camps, et pose contre elle des béliers tout autour.

KJV ² And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.

BCC ³ Et toi, prends une poêle en fer et place-la comme un mur de fer entre toi et la ville, et dirige ta face contre elle ; elle sera assiégée et tu l'assiégeras. Que ce soit un signe pour la maison d'Israël !

KJV ³ Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

BCC ⁴ Et toi, couche-toi sur ton côté gauche, et mets-y l'iniquité de la maison d'Israël ; et le nombre de jours que tu resteras ainsi couché, tu porteras leur iniquité.

KJV ⁴ Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.

BCC ⁵ Et moi, je t'ai compté les années de leur iniquité selon le nombre de jours : durant trois cent quatre-vingt-dix jours, tu porteras l'iniquité de la maison d'Israël.

KJV ⁵ For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

BCC ⁶ Et quand tu auras achevé ces jours, tu te coucheras sur ton côté droit une seconde fois, et tu porteras l'iniquité de la maison de Juda, quarante jours ; je t'ai compté un jour pour une année.

KJV ⁶ And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

BCC ⁷ Et tu dirigeras ta face et ton bras nu contre Jérusalem assiégée, et tu prophétiseras contre elle.

KJV ⁷ Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.

BCC ⁸ Et voici que j'ai mis sur toi des cordes, afin que tu ne puisses pas te tourner d'un côté sur l'autre, jusqu'à ce que tu aies accompli les jours de ton siège.

KJV ⁸ And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.

BCC ⁹ Prends du froment, de l'orge, des fèves, des lentilles, du millet et de l'épeautre ; mets-les dans un vase et fais-en du pain pour toi, selon le nombre de jours que tu seras couché sur ton côté ; tu en mangeras trois cent quatre-vingt-dix jours.

KJV ⁹ Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.

BCC ¹⁰ Et la nourriture que tu mangeras sera du poids de vingt sicles par jour ; tu en mangeras de temps en temps.

KJV ¹⁰ And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.

BCC ¹¹ Tu boiras de l'eau par petite quantité, un sixième de hin ; tu en boiras de temps en temps.

KJV ¹⁴ Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.

KJV ¹ And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.

BCC ⁵ Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : C'est là cette Jérusalem que j'avais placée au milieu des nations, avec de vastes contrées autour d'elle !

KJV ⁵ Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.

BCC ⁶ Mais, dans sa méchanceté, elle à résisté à mes décrets plus que les nations, et à mes lois plus que les pays qui l'entourent ; car ils ont rejeté mes décrets et n'ont pas marché suivant mes lois.

KJV ⁶ And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

KJV ⁷ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;

KJV ⁸ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

BCC ⁹ et je ferai contre toi une chose telle que je n'en ai point fait et que je n'en ferai jamais plus de pareille, ‒ à cause de toutes tes abominations.

KJV ⁹ And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

BCC ¹⁰ C'est pourquoi des pères dévoreront leurs fils au milieu de toi, et des fils dévoreront leurs pères. J'exécuterai contre toi des jugements, et je disperserai à tout vent tout ce qui restera de toi.

KJV ¹⁰ Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

KJV ¹⁵ So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

KJV ¹⁶ When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

BCC ¹⁷ et j'enverrai sur vous la famine et des bêtes malfaisantes, qui te priveront d'enfants ; la peste et le sang passeront sur toi, et je ferai venir sur toi l'épée ‒ moi, Yahweh, j'ai parlé !

KJV ¹⁷ So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee: and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.

BCC ³ Tu diras : Montagnes d'Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur Yahweh Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh aux montagnes et aux collines, aux ravins et vallées : Voici que je fais venir contre vous l'épée, et je détruirai vos hauts lieux.

KJV ³ And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

BCC ⁴ Et vos autels seront dévastés, et vos colonnes solaires seront brisées ; et je ferai tomber vos hommes frappés à mort devant vos idoles.

KJV ⁴ And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

BCC ⁵ Je mettrai les cadavres des enfants d'Israël devant leurs idoles. Et je sèmerai vos ossements autour de vos autels.

KJV ⁵ And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

BCC ⁶ Partout où vous habitez, les villes seront désolées, et les hauts lieux dévastés, afin que vos autels soient désolés et détruits, vos idoles brisées et anéanties, vos colonnes solaires abattues, et vos ouvrages ruinés.

KJV ⁶ In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

KJV ⁷ And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

KJV ⁸ Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

BCC ⁹ Et vos réchappés se souviendront de moi chez les nations, où je les emmènerai captifs, quand j'aurai brisé leur coeur adultère, qui s'est détourné de moi, et leurs yeux adultères, qui se sont tournés vers leurs idoles ; et ils se prendront eux-mêmes en dégoût ; pour le mal qu'ils ont fait, en commettant toutes leurs abominations.

KJV ⁹ And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

KJV ¹⁰ And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

BCC ¹¹ Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : frappe dans ta main et bats du pied, et dis : hélas ! sur toutes les méchantes abominations de la maison d'Israël, qui va périr par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste.

KJV ¹¹ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

KJV ¹² He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

KJV ¹³ Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

KJV ¹⁴ So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
