¹ Au commencement Dieu créa le ciel et la terre. ² La terre était informe et vide ; les ténèbres couvraient l'abîme, et l'Esprit de Dieu se mouvait au-dessus des eaux. ³ Dieu dit : « Que la lumière soit ! » et la lumière fut.

   ¹ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. ² And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
