   ¹ Et les cieux et la terre et toute leur armée furent achevés. ² Et Dieu acheva au septième jour toute l'oeuvre qu'il avait faite. Et il cessa au septième jour de travailler à toute l'oeuvre qu'il avait faite. ³ Et Dieu bénit le septième jour et le sanctifia, parce qu'en ce jour-là il avait cessé de travailler à toute l'oeuvre qu'il avait créée pour la faire.

   ¹ Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. ² And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. ³ And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
