DRB ⁴¹ Et Ésaü eut Jacob en haine, à cause de la bénédiction dont son père l'avait béni ; et Ésaü dit en son cœur : Les jours du deuil de mon père approchent, et je tuerai Jacob, mon frère.

KJV ⁴¹ And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

S21 ⁴¹ Esaü éprouva de la haine contre Jacob à cause de la bénédiction que son père lui avait accordée. Il disait dans son cœur: «Le moment où l'on mènera le deuil sur mon père va approcher et je tuerai mon frère Jacob.»

DRB ⁴² Et on rapporta à Rebecca les paroles d'Ésaü, son fils aîné ; et elle envoya, et appela Jacob, son plus jeune fils, et lui dit : Voici, ton frère Ésaü se console à ton sujet dans l'espoir de te tuer.

KJV ⁴² And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.

S21 ⁴² Rebecca fut informée des paroles de son fils aîné Esaü. Elle fit alors appeler son fils cadet Jacob et lui dit: «Ton frère Esaü veut se venger de toi en te tuant.
