BAN ¹ Et Jésus étant de nouveau entré dans Capernaüm quelques jours après, on ouït dire qu'il était dans une maison.

KJV ¹ And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

BAN ² Et aussitôt beaucoup de gens s'y assemblèrent, tellement que même l'espace qui était devant la porte ne les pouvait plus contenir ; et il leur annonçait la parole.

KJV ² And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

BAN ³ Et ils viennent, amenant vers lui un paralytique, porté par quatre hommes.

KJV ³ And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

BAN ⁴ Et comme ils ne pouvaient l'amener jusqu'à lui à cause de la foule, ils découvrirent le toit à l'endroit où il était, et, après y avoir fait une ouverture, ils descendent le lit sur lequel le paralytique était couché.

KJV ⁴ And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

BAN ⁵ Et Jésus, voyant leur foi, dit au paralytique : Mon enfant, tes péchés sont pardonnés.

KJV ⁵ When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

BAN ⁶ Or quelques-uns des scribes étaient là assis et raisonnant dans leurs coeurs :

KJV ⁶ But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

BAN ⁷ Pourquoi celui-ci parle-t-il ainsi ? il blasphème ! Qui peut pardonner les péchés, si ce n'est Dieu seul ?

KJV ⁷ Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

BAN ⁸ Et aussitôt Jésus ayant connu, par son esprit, qu'ils raisonnaient ainsi en eux-mêmes, leur dit : Pourquoi faites-vous ces raisonnements dans vos coeurs ?

KJV ⁸ And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

BAN ⁹ Lequel est le plus facile, de dire au paralytique : Tes péchés sont pardonnés ; ou de dire : Lève-toi, prends ton lit, et t'en va ?

KJV ⁹ Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

BAN ¹⁰ Or, afin que vous sachiez que le fils de l'homme a, sur la terre, le pouvoir de pardonner les péchés,

KJV ¹⁰ But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

BAN ¹¹ Je te dis (dit-il au paralytique) : Lève-toi, prends ton lit, et t'en va dans ta maison !

KJV ¹¹ I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

BAN ¹² Et aussitôt il se leva, et ayant pris son lit, il sortit en présence de tous ; de sorte qu'ils étaient tous dans l'étonnement et glorifiaient Dieu, disant : Jamais nous n'avons vu chose pareille.

KJV ¹² And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
