KJV ¹ The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

KJV ² He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

MAR ² Mais il répondit, et leur dit : quand le soir est venu, vous dites : il fera beau temps, car le ciel est rouge.

KJV ³ And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

MAR ³ Et le matin [vous dites] : il y aura aujourd'hui de l'orage, car le ciel est rouge, et sombre. Hypocrites, vous savez bien juger de l'apparence du ciel, et vous ne pouvez juger des signes des saisons !

KJV ⁴ A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

MAR ⁴ La nation méchante et adultère recherche un miracle ; mais il ne lui sera point donné d'[autre] miracle que celui de Jonas le Prophète ; et les laissant il s'en alla.

KJV ⁵ And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

MAR ⁵ Et quand ses Disciples furent venus au rivage de delà, ils avaient oublié de prendre des pains.

KJV ⁶ Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

MAR ⁶ Et Jésus leur dit : voyez, et donnez-vous garde du levain des Pharisiens et des Saducéens.

KJV ⁷ And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

MAR ⁷ Or ils pensaient en eux-mêmes, et disaient : c'est parce que nous n'avons pas pris de pains.

KJV ⁸ Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

MAR ⁸ Et Jésus connaissant leur pensée, leur dit : gens de petite foi, qu'est-ce que vous pensez en vous-mêmes au sujet de ce que vous n'avez point pris de pains ?

KJV ⁹ Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

MAR ⁹ Ne comprenez-vous point encore, et ne vous souvient-il plus des cinq pains des cinq mille hommes, et combien de corbeilles vous en recueillîtes ?

KJV ¹⁰ Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

KJV ¹¹ How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

MAR ¹¹ Comment ne comprenez-vous point que ce n'est pas touchant le pain que je vous ai dit, de vous donner garde du levain des Pharisiens et des Saducéens ?

KJV ¹² Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

MAR ¹² Alors ils comprirent que ce n'était pas du levain du pain qu'il leur avait dit de se donner garde, mais de la doctrine des Pharisiens et des Saducéens.

KJV ¹³ When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

KJV ¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

MAR ¹⁷ Et Jésus répondit, et dit : tu es bienheureux, Simon, fils de Jonas : car la chair et le sang ne te l'a pas révélé, mais mon Père qui est aux cieux.

KJV ¹⁸ And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

MAR ¹⁸ Et je te dis aussi, que tu es Pierre, et sur cette pierre j'édifierai mon Eglise ; et les portes de l'enfer ne prévaudront point contre elle.

KJV ¹⁹ And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

KJV ²² Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

MAR ²² Mais Pierre l'ayant tiré à part se mit à le reprendre, en lui disant : Seigneur, aie pitié de toi ; cela ne t'arrivera point.

KJV ²³ But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

MAR ²³ Mais lui s'étant retourné, dit à Pierre : retire-toi de moi, Satan, tu m'es en scandale ; car tu ne comprends pas les choses qui sont de Dieu, mais celles qui sont des hommes.

KJV ²⁴ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

MAR ²⁴ Alors Jésus dit à ses Disciples : si quelqu'un veut venir après moi, qu'il renonce à soi-même, et qu'il charge sa croix ; et me suive.

KJV ²⁵ For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

MAR ²⁵ Car quiconque voudra sauver son âme, la perdra ; mais quiconque perdra son âme pour l'amour de moi, la trouvera.

KJV ²⁶ For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

KJV ²⁷ For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

MAR ²⁷ Car le Fils de l'homme doit venir environné de la gloire de son Père avec ses Anges, et alors il rendra à chacun selon ses oeuvres.

KJV ²⁸ Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

KJV ¹ And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

KJV ⁴ Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

MAR ⁴ Alors Pierre prenant la parole, dit à Jésus : Seigneur, il est bon que nous soyons ici ; faisons-y, si tu le veux, trois tentes, une pour toi, une pour Moïse, et une pour Elie.

KJV ⁵ While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

MAR ⁵ Et comme il parlait encore, voici une nuée resplendissante qui les couvrit de son ombre ; puis voilà une voix qui vint de la nuée, disant : celui-ci est mon Fils bien-aimé, en qui j'ai pris mon bon plaisir ; écoutez-le.

KJV ⁶ And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

MAR ⁶ Ce que les Disciples ayant ouï, ils tombèrent le visage contre terre, et eurent une très grande peur.

KJV ⁷ And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

MAR ⁷ Mais Jésus s'approchant les toucha, en leur disant : levez-vous, et n'ayez point de peur.

KJV ⁸ And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

MAR ⁸ Et eux levant leurs yeux, ne virent personne, que Jésus tout seul.

KJV ⁹ And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

MAR ⁹ Et comme ils descendaient de la montagne, Jésus leur commanda, en disant : ne dites à personne la vision, jusqu'à ce que le Fils de l'homme soit ressuscité des morts.

KJV ¹⁰ And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

MAR ¹⁰ Et ses Disciples l'interrogèrent, en disant : pourquoi donc les Scribes disent-ils qu'il faut qu'Elie vienne premièrement ?

KJV ¹¹ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

MAR ¹¹ Et Jésus répondant dit : il est vrai qu'Elie viendra premièrement, et qu'il rétablira toutes choses.

KJV ¹² But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

MAR ¹² Mais je vous dis qu'Elie est déjà venu, et ils ne l'ont point connu ; mais ils lui ont fait tout ce qu'ils ont voulu ; ainsi le Fils de l'homme doit souffrir aussi de leur part.

KJV ¹³ Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

MAR ¹³ Alors les Disciples comprirent que c'était de Jean Baptiste qu'il leur avait parlé.

KJV ¹⁴ And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

MAR ¹⁴ Et quand ils furent venus vers les troupes, un homme s'approcha, et se mit à genoux devant lui,

KJV ¹⁵ Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

MAR ¹⁵ Et lui dit : Seigneur ! aie pitié de mon fils, qui est lunatique, et misérablement affligé ; car il tombe souvent dans le feu, et souvent dans l'eau.

KJV ¹⁶ And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

MAR ¹⁶ Et je l'ai présenté à tes Disciples ; mais ils ne l'ont pu guérir.

KJV ¹⁷ Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

MAR ¹⁷ Et Jésus répondant, dit : Ô race incrédule, et perverse, jusques à quand serai-je avec vous ? jusques à quand vous supporterai-je ? amenez-le-moi ici.

KJV ¹⁸ And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

MAR ¹⁸ Et Jésus censura fortement le démon, qui sortit hors de cet enfant, et à l'heure même l'enfant fut guéri.

KJV ¹⁹ Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

MAR ¹⁹ Alors les Disciples vinrent en particulier à Jésus, et lui dirent : pourquoi ne l'avons-nous pu jeter dehors ?

KJV ²⁰ And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

MAR ²⁰ Et Jésus leur répondit : c'est à cause de votre incrédulité : car en vérité je vous dis, que si vous aviez de la foi, aussi gros qu'un grain de semence de moutarde, vous diriez à cette montagne : transporte-toi d'ici là, et elle s'y transporterait ; et rien ne vous serait impossible.

KJV ²¹ Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

MAR ²¹ Mais cette sorte [de démons] ne sort que par la prière et par le jeûne.

KJV ²² And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

MAR ²² Et comme ils se trouvaient en Galilée, Jésus leur dit : il arrivera que le Fils de l'homme sera livré entre les mains des hommes ;

KJV ²³ And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

MAR ²³ Et qu'ils le feront mourir, mais le troisième jour il ressuscitera. Et [les Disciples] en furent fort attristés.

KJV ²⁴ And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

MAR ²⁴ Et lorsqu'ils furent venus à Capernaüm, ceux qui recevaient les didrachmes s'adressèrent à Pierre et lui dirent : votre Maître ne paye-t-il pas les didrachmes ?

KJV ²⁵ He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

MAR ²⁵ Il dit : oui. Et quand il fut entré dans la maison, Jésus le prévint, en lui disant : qu'est-ce qu'il t'en semble, Simon ? Les Rois de la terre, de qui prennent-ils des tributs, ou des impôts ? est-ce de leurs enfants, ou des étrangers ?

KJV ²⁶ Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

MAR ²⁶ Pierre dit : des étrangers. Jésus lui répondit : les enfants en sont donc exempts.

KJV ²⁷ Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

MAR ²⁷ Mais afin que nous ne les scandalisions point, va-t'en à la mer, et jette l'hameçon, et prends le premier poisson qui montera ; et quand tu lui auras ouvert la bouche, tu y trouveras un statère ; prends-le, et le leur donne pour moi et pour toi.

KJV ¹ At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

MAR ¹ En cette même heure-là les Disciples vinrent à Jésus, en lui disant : qui est le plus grand au Royaume des cieux ?

KJV ² And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

MAR ² Et Jésus ayant appelé un petit enfant, le mit au milieu d'eux,

KJV ³ And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

MAR ³ Et leur dit : en vérité je vous dis, que si vous n'êtes changés, et si vous ne devenez comme de petits enfants, vous n'entrerez point dans le Royaume des cieux.

KJV ⁴ Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

MAR ⁴ C'est pourquoi quiconque deviendra humble, comme est ce petit enfant, celui-là est le plus grand au Royaume des cieux.

KJV ⁵ And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

MAR ⁵ Et quiconque reçoit un tel petit enfant en mon Nom, il me reçoit.

KJV ⁶ But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

MAR ⁶ Mais quiconque scandalise un de ces petits qui croient en moi, il lui vaudrait mieux qu'on lui pendît une meule d'âne au cou, et qu'on le jetât au fond de la mer.

KJV ⁷ Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

MAR ⁷ Malheur au monde à cause des scandales ; car il est infaillible qu'il n'arrive des scandales ; toutefois malheur à l'homme par qui le scandale arrive.

KJV ⁸ Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

MAR ⁸ Que si ta main ou ton pied te fait broncher, coupe-les, et jette-les loin de toi ; car il vaut mieux que tu entres boiteux ou manchot dans la vie, que d'avoir deux pieds ou deux mains, et d'être jeté au feu éternel.

KJV ⁹ And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

MAR ⁹ Et si ton oeil te fait broncher, arrache-le, et jette-le loin de toi ; car il vaut mieux que tu entres dans la vie n'ayant qu'un oeil, que d'avoir deux yeux, et d'être jeté dans la géhenne du feu.

KJV ¹⁰ Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

MAR ¹⁰ Prenez garde de ne mépriser aucun de ces petits, car je vous dis, que dans les cieux leurs Anges regardent toujours la face de mon Père qui est aux cieux.

KJV ¹¹ For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

MAR ¹¹ Car le Fils de l'homme est venu pour sauver ce qui était perdu.

KJV ¹² How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

MAR ¹² Que vous en semble ? Si un homme a cent brebis, et qu'il y en ait une qui se soit égarée, ne laisse-t-il pas les quatre-vingt-dix-neuf, pour s'en aller dans les montagnes chercher celle qui s'est égarée ?

KJV ¹³ And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

MAR ¹³ Et s'il arrive qu'il la trouve, en vérité je vous dis, qu'il en a plus de joie, que des quatre-vingt-dix-neuf qui ne se sont point égarées.

KJV ¹⁴ Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

MAR ¹⁴ Ainsi la volonté de votre Père qui est aux cieux n'est pas qu'un seul de ces petits périsse.

KJV ¹⁵ Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

MAR ¹⁵ Que si ton frère a péché contre toi, va, et reprends-le entre toi et lui seul ; s'il t'écoute, tu as gagné ton frère.

KJV ¹⁶ But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

MAR ¹⁶ Mais s'il ne t'écoute point, prends encore avec toi une ou deux [personnes] ; afin qu'en la bouche de deux ou de trois témoins toute parole soit ferme.

KJV ¹⁷ And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

MAR ¹⁷ Que s'il ne daigne pas les écouter, dis-le à l'Eglise ; et s'il ne daigne pas écouter l'Eglise, qu'il te soit comme un païen et comme un péager.

KJV ¹⁸ Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

MAR ¹⁸ En vérité je vous dis, que tout ce que vous aurez lié sur la terre, sera lié dans le ciel ; et tout ce que vous aurez délié sur la terre, sera délié dans le ciel.

KJV ¹⁹ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

MAR ¹⁹ Je vous dis aussi, que si deux d'entre vous s'accordent sur la terre, tout ce qu'ils demanderont leur sera donné par mon Père qui est aux cieux.

KJV ²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

MAR ²⁰ Car là où il y en a deux ou trois assemblés en mon Nom, je suis là au milieu d'eux.

KJV ²¹ Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

MAR ²¹ Alors Pierre s'approchant, lui dit : Seigneur, jusques à combien de fois mon frère péchera-t-il contre moi, et je lui pardonnerai ? sera-ce jusqu'à sept fois ?

KJV ²² Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

MAR ²² Jésus lui répondit : je ne te dis pas jusqu'à sept fois, mais jusqu'à sept fois septante fois.

KJV ²³ Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

MAR ²³ C'est pourquoi le Royaume des cieux est semblable à un Roi qui voulut compter avec ses serviteurs.

KJV ²⁴ And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

MAR ²⁴ Et quand il eut commencé à compter, on lui en présenta un qui lui devait dix mille talents.

KJV ²⁵ But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

MAR ²⁵ Et parce qu'il n'avait pas de quoi payer, son Seigneur commanda qu'il fût vendu, lui et sa femme et ses enfants, et tout ce qu'il avait, et que la dette fût payée.

KJV ²⁶ The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

MAR ²⁶ Mais ce serviteur se jetant à ses pieds, le suppliait, en disant : Seigneur ! aie patience, et je te rendrai le tout.

KJV ²⁷ Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

MAR ²⁷ Alors le Seigneur de ce serviteur, touché de compassion, le relâcha, et lui quitta la dette.

KJV ²⁸ But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.

MAR ²⁸ Mais ce serviteur étant sorti, rencontra un de ses compagnons de service, qui lui devait cent deniers ; et l'ayant pris, il l'étranglait, en lui disant : paye-moi ce que tu me dois.

KJV ²⁹ And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

MAR ²⁹ Mais son compagnon de service se jetant à ses pieds, le priait, en disant : aie patience, et je te rendrai le tout.

KJV ³⁰ And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

MAR ³⁰ Mais il n'en voulut rien faire ; et il s'en alla, et le mit en prison, jusqu'à ce qu'il eût payé la dette.

KJV ³¹ So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

KJV ³² Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

KJV ³³ Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

MAR ³³ Ne te fallait-il pas aussi avoir pitié de ton compagnon de service, comme j'avais eu pitié de toi ?

KJV ³⁴ And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

MAR ³⁴ Et Son seigneur étant en colère le livra aux sergents, jusqu'à ce qu'il lui eût payé tout ce qui lui était dû.

KJV ³⁵ So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

MAR ³⁵ C'est ainsi que vous fera mon Père céleste, si vous ne pardonnez de [tout] votre coeur chacun à son frère ses fautes.

KJV ¹ And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;

MAR ¹ Et il arriva que quand Jésus eut achevé ces discours, il partit de Galilée, et vint vers les confins de la Judée, au delà du Jourdain.

KJV ² And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

MAR ² Et de grandes troupes le suivirent, et il guérit là [leurs malades].

KJV ³ The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

MAR ³ Alors des Pharisiens vinrent à lui pour l'éprouver, et ils lui dirent : est-il permis à un homme de répudier sa femme pour quelque cause que ce soit ?

KJV ⁴ And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

MAR ⁴ Et il répondit, et leur dit : n'avez-vous point lu que celui qui les a faits dès le commencement, fit un homme et une femme ?

KJV ⁵ And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

MAR ⁵ Et qu'il dit : A cause de cela l'homme laissera son père et sa mère, et se joindra à sa femme, et les deux ne seront qu'une seule chair.

KJV ⁶ Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

MAR ⁶ C'est pourquoi ils ne sont plus deux, mais une seule chair. Ce donc que Dieu a joint, que l'homme ne le sépare point.

KJV ⁷ They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

MAR ⁷ Ils lui dirent : pourquoi donc Moïse a-t-il commandé de donner la Lettre de divorce, et de répudier sa femme ?

KJV ⁸ He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

MAR ⁸ Il leur dit : c'est à cause de la dureté de votre coeur, que Moïse vous a permis de répudier vos femmes ; mais au commencement il n'en était pas ainsi.

KJV ⁹ And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

MAR ⁹ Et moi je vous dis, que quiconque répudiera sa femme, si ce n'est pour cause d'adultère, et se mariera à une autre, commet un adultère ; et que celui qui se sera marié à celle qui est répudiée, commet un adultère.

KJV ¹⁰ His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.

MAR ¹⁰ Ses Disciples lui dirent : Si telle est la condition de l'homme à l'égard de sa femme, il ne convient pas de se marier.

KJV ¹¹ But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

MAR ¹¹ Mais il leur dit : tous ne sont pas capables de cela, mais [seulement] ceux à qui il est donné.

KJV ¹² For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

MAR ¹² Car il y a des eunuques, qui sont ainsi nés du ventre de leur mère ; et il y a des eunuques, qui ont été faits eunuques par les hommes ; et il y a des eunuques qui se sont faits eux-mêmes eunuques pour le Royaume des cieux. Que celui qui peut comprendre ceci, le comprenne.

KJV ¹³ Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

MAR ¹³ Alors on lui présenta des petits enfants, afin qu'il leur imposât les mains, et qu'il priât [pour eux] ; mais les Disciples les en reprenaient.

KJV ¹⁴ But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

MAR ¹⁴ Et Jésus leur dit : laissez venir à moi les petits enfants, et ne les empêchez point ; car le Royaume des cieux est pour ceux qui leur ressemblent.

KJV ¹⁵ And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

MAR ¹⁵ Puis leur ayant imposé les mains, il partit de là.

KJV ¹⁶ And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

MAR ¹⁶ Et voici, quelqu'un s'approchant lui dit : Maître qui est bon, quel bien ferai-je pour avoir la vie éternelle ?

KJV ¹⁷ And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

MAR ¹⁷ Il lui répondit : pourquoi m'appelles-tu bon ? Dieu est le seul être qui soit bon. Que si tu veux entrer dans la vie, garde les commandements.

KJV ¹⁸ He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

MAR ¹⁸ Il lui dit : quels ? Et Jésus lui répondit : tu ne tueras point. Tu ne commettras point adultère. Tu ne déroberas point. Tu ne diras point de faux témoignage.

KJV ¹⁹ Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

KJV ²⁰ The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

MAR ²¹ Jésus lui dit : si tu veux être parfait, va, vends ce que tu as, et le donne aux pauvres, et tu auras un trésor dans le ciel ; puis viens, et me suis.

KJV ²² But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

MAR ²² Mais quand ce jeune homme eut entendu cette parole, il s'en alla tout triste, parce qu'il avait de grands biens.

KJV ²³ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

MAR ²³ Alors Jésus dit à ses Disciples : en vérité je vous dis, qu'un riche entrera difficilement dans le Royaume des cieux.

KJV ²⁴ And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

MAR ²⁴ Je vous le dis encore : Il est plus aisé qu'un chameau passe par le trou d'une aiguille, qu'il ne l'est qu'un riche entre dans le Royaume de Dieu.

KJV ²⁵ When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

MAR ²⁵ Ses Disciples ayant entendu ces choses s'étonnèrent fort, et ils dirent : qui peut donc être sauvé ?

KJV ²⁶ But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

MAR ²⁶ Et Jésus les regardant, leur dit : quant aux hommes, cela est impossible ; mais quant à Dieu, toutes choses sont possibles.

KJV ²⁷ Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

MAR ²⁷ Alors Pierre prenant la parole, lui dit : voici, nous avons tout quitté, et t'avons suivi ; que nous en arrivera-t-il donc ?

KJV ²⁸ And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

MAR ²⁸ Et Jésus leur dit : en vérité je vous dis, que vous qui m'avez suivi, dans la régénération, quand le Fils de l'homme sera assis sur le trône de sa gloire, vous aussi serez assis sur douze trônes, jugeant les douze Tribus d'Israël.

KJV ²⁹ And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

MAR ²⁹ Et quiconque aura quitté ou maisons, ou frères, ou soeurs, ou père, ou mère, ou femme, ou enfants, ou champs, à cause de mon Nom, il en recevra cent fois autant, et héritera la vie éternelle.

KJV ³⁰ But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

MAR ³⁰ Mais plusieurs qui sont les premiers, seront les derniers ; et les derniers seront les premiers.

KJV ¹ For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

MAR ¹ Car le Royaume des cieux est semblable à un père de famille, qui sortit dès le point du jour afin de louer des ouvriers pour sa vigne.

KJV ² And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

MAR ² Et quand il eut accordé avec les ouvriers à un denier par jour, il les envoya à sa vigne.

KJV ³ And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

MAR ³ Puis étant sorti sur les trois heures, il en vit d'autres qui étaient au marché, sans rien faire ;

KJV ⁴ And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

MAR ⁴ Auxquels il dit : allez-vous-en aussi à ma vigne, et je vous donnerai ce qui sera raisonnable.

KJV ⁵ Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

MAR ⁵ Et ils y allèrent. Puis il sortit encore environ sur les six heures, et sur les neuf heures, et il en fit de même.

KJV ⁶ And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

MAR ⁶ Et étant sorti sur les onze heures, il en trouva d'autres qui étaient sans rien faire, auxquels il dit : pourquoi vous tenez-vous ici tout le jour sans rien faire ?

KJV ⁷ They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

MAR ⁷ Ils lui répondirent : parce que personne ne nous a loués. Et il leur dit : allez-vous-en aussi à ma vigne, et vous recevrez ce qui sera raisonnable.

KJV ⁸ So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

MAR ⁸ Et le soir étant venu, le maître de la vigne dit à celui qui avait la charge de ses affaires : appelle les ouvriers, et leur paye leur salaire, en commençant depuis les derniers jusques aux premiers.

KJV ⁹ And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

MAR ⁹ Alors ceux qui avaient été loués vers les onze heures étant venus, ils reçurent chacun un denier.

KJV ¹⁰ But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

MAR ¹⁰ Or quand les premiers furent venus ils croyaient recevoir davantage, mais ils reçurent aussi chacun un denier.

KJV ¹¹ And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

MAR ¹¹ Et l'ayant reçu, ils murmuraient contre le père de famille,

KJV ¹² Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

MAR ¹² En disant : ces derniers n'ont travaillé qu'une heure, et tu les as faits égaux à nous, qui avons porté le faix du jour, et la chaleur.

KJV ¹³ But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

MAR ¹³ Et il répondit à l'un d'eux, et lui dit : mon ami, je ne te fais point de tort, n'as-tu pas accordé avec moi à un denier ?

KJV ¹⁴ Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

MAR ¹⁴ Prends ce qui est à toi, et t'en va ; mais si je veux donner à ce dernier autant qu'à toi,

KJV ¹⁵ Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

MAR ¹⁵ Ne m'est-il pas permis de faire ce que je veux de mes biens ? ton oeil est-il malin de ce que je suis bon ?

KJV ¹⁶ So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

MAR ¹⁶ Ainsi les derniers seront les premiers, et les premiers seront les derniers, car il y a beaucoup d'appelés, mais peu d'élus.

KJV ¹⁷ And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

MAR ¹⁷ Et Jésus montant à Jérusalem, prit à part sur le chemin ses douze Disciples, et leur dit :

KJV ¹⁸ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

MAR ¹⁸ Voici, nous montons à Jérusalem, et le Fils de l'homme sera livré aux principaux Sacrificateurs et aux Scribes, et ils le condamneront à la mort.

KJV ¹⁹ And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

MAR ¹⁹ Ils le livreront aux Gentils pour s'en moquer, le fouetter, et le crucifier ; mais le troisième jour il ressuscitera.

KJV ²⁰ Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

KJV ²² But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

MAR ²² Et Jésus répondit et dit : vous ne savez ce que vous demandez, pouvez-vous boire la coupe que je dois boire, et être baptisés du baptême dont je dois être baptisé ; ils lui répondirent : nous le pouvons.

KJV ²³ And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

MAR ²³ Et il leur dit : il est vrai que vous boirez ma coupe, et que vous serez baptisés du baptême dont je serai baptisé ; mais d'être assis à ma droite ou à ma gauche, ce n'est point à moi de le donner, mais [il sera donné] à ceux à qui cela est destiné par mon Père.

KJV ²⁴ And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

MAR ²⁴ Les dix [autres Disciples] ayant ouï cela, furent indignés contre les deux frères.

KJV ²⁵ But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

MAR ²⁵ Mais Jésus les ayant appelés, leur dit : vous savez que les Princes des nations les maîtrisent, et que les Grands usent d'autorité sur elles.

KJV ²⁶ But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

MAR ²⁶ Mais il n'en sera pas ainsi entre vous : au contraire, quiconque voudra être grand entre vous, qu'il soit votre serviteur.

KJV ²⁷ And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

MAR ²⁷ Et quiconque voudra être le premier entre vous, qu'il soit votre serviteur.

KJV ²⁸ Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

MAR ²⁸ De même que le Fils de l'homme n'est pas venu pour être servi, mais pour servir, et afin de donner sa vie en rançon pour plusieurs.

KJV ²⁹ And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

KJV ³⁰ And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

MAR ³⁰ Et voici, deux aveugles qui étaient assis au bord du chemin, ayant ouï que Jésus passait, crièrent, en disant : Seigneur, Fils de David ! aie pitié de nous !

KJV ³¹ And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

MAR ³¹ Et la troupe les reprit, afin qu'ils se tussent ; mais ils criaient encore plus fort : Seigneur, Fils de David ! aie pitié de nous !

KJV ³² And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

MAR ³² Et Jésus s'arrêtant, les appela, et leur dit : que voulez-vous que je vous fasse ?

KJV ³³ They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

MAR ³³ Ils lui dirent : Seigneur, que nos yeux soient ouverts.

KJV ³⁴ So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

MAR ³⁴ Et Jésus étant ému de compassion, toucha leurs yeux, et incontinent leurs yeux recouvrèrent la vue ; et ils le suivirent.

KJV ¹ And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,

MAR ¹ Or quand ils furent près de Jérusalem, et qu'ils furent venus à Bethphagé au mont des oliviers, Jésus envoya alors deux Disciples,

KJV ² Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

MAR ² En leur disant : allez à ce village qui est vis-à-vis de vous, et d'abord vous trouverez une ânesse attachée, et son poulain avec elle ; détachez-les, et amenez-les-moi.

KJV ³ And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.

MAR ³ Et si quelqu'un vous dit quelque chose, vous direz que le Seigneur en a besoin ; et aussitôt il les laissera aller.

KJV ⁴ All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

MAR ⁴ Or tout cela se fit afin que fût accompli ce dont il avait été parlé par le Prophète, en disant :

KJV ⁵ Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

MAR ⁵ Dites à la fille de Sion : voici, ton Roi vient à toi, débonnaire, et monté sur une ânesse, et sur le poulain d'une ânesse.

KJV ⁶ And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,

MAR ⁶ Les Disciples donc s'en allèrent, et firent ce que Jésus leur avait ordonné.

KJV ⁷ And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.

MAR ⁷ Et ils amenèrent l'ânesse et l'ânon, et mirent leurs vêtements dessus, et ils l'y firent asseoir.

KJV ⁸ And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

MAR ⁸ Alors de grandes troupes étendirent leurs vêtements par le chemin, et les autres coupaient des rameaux des arbres, et les étendaient par le chemin.

KJV ⁹ And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

MAR ⁹ Et les troupes qui allaient devant, et celles qui suivaient, criaient, en disant : Hosanna ! au Fils de David, béni soit celui qui vient au Nom du Seigneur ; Hosanna dans les lieux très-hauts !

KJV ¹⁰ And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

MAR ¹⁰ Et quand il fut entré dans Jérusalem, toute la ville fut émue, disant : qui est celui-ci ?

KJV ¹¹ And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

MAR ¹¹ Et les troupes disaient : c'est Jésus le Prophète, qui est de Nazareth en Galilée.

KJV ¹² And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

MAR ¹² Et Jésus entra dans le Temple de Dieu, et chassa dehors tous ceux qui vendaient et qui achetaient dans le Temple, et renversa les tables des changeurs, et les sièges de ceux qui vendaient des pigeons ;

KJV ¹³ And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

MAR ¹³ Et il leur dit : il est écrit : ma Maison sera appelée une Maison de prière, mais vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs.

KJV ¹⁴ And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

MAR ¹⁴ Alors des aveugles et des boiteux vinrent à lui dans le Temple, et il les guérit.

KJV ¹⁵ And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased,

MAR ¹⁵ Mais quand les principaux Sacrificateurs et les Scribes eurent vu les merveilles qu'il avait faites, et les enfants criant dans le Temple, et disant : Hosanna au Fils de David ! ils en furent indignés.

KJV ¹⁶ And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

MAR ¹⁶ Et ils lui dirent : entends-tu ce que ceux-ci disent ; et Jésus leur dit : oui ; mais n'avez-vous jamais lu [ces paroles] : tu as mis le comble à ta louange par la bouche des enfants, et de ceux qui tettent ?

KJV ¹⁷ And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

MAR ¹⁷ Et les ayant laissés, il sortit de la ville, pour s'en aller à Béthanie, et il y passa la nuit.

KJV ¹⁸ Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

MAR ¹⁸ Or le matin, comme il retournait à la ville, il eut faim.

KJV ¹⁹ And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

MAR ¹⁹ Et voyant un figuier qui était sur le chemin, il s'en approcha, mais il n'y trouva que des feuilles ; et il lui dit : qu'aucun fruit ne naisse plus de toi jamais : et incontinent le figuier sécha.

KJV ²⁰ And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

MAR ²⁰ Ce que les Disciples ayant vu ils en furent étonnés, disant : comment est-ce que le figuier est devenu sec en un instant ?

KJV ²¹ Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

MAR ²¹ Et Jésus répondant leur dit : en vérité je vous dis, que si vous avez la foi, et que vous ne doutiez point, non seulement vous ferez ce qui a été fait au figuier, mais même si vous dites à cette montagne : quitte ta place, et te jette dans la mer, cela se fera.

KJV ²² And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

MAR ²² Et quoi que vous demandiez en priant [Dieu] si vous croyez, vous le recevrez.

KJV ²³ And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?

MAR ²³ Puis quand il fut venu au Temple, les principaux Sacrificateurs et les Anciens du peuple vinrent à lui, comme il enseignait, et lui dirent : par quelle autorité fais-tu ces choses ; et qui est-ce qui t'a donné cette autorité ?

KJV ²⁴ And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

MAR ²⁴ Jésus répondant leur dit : je vous interrogerai aussi d'une chose, et si vous me la dites, je vous dirai aussi par quelle autorité je fais ces choses.

KJV ²⁵ The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?

MAR ²⁵ Le Baptême de Jean d'où était-il ? Du ciel, ou des hommes ? Or ils disputaient en eux-mêmes, en disant : si nous disons : du ciel, il nous dira : pourquoi donc ne l'avez-vous point cru ?

KJV ²⁶ But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.

MAR ²⁶ Et si nous disons : des hommes, nous craignons les troupes : car tous tiennent Jean pour un Prophète.

KJV ²⁷ And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

MAR ²⁷ Alors ils répondirent à Jésus, en disant : nous ne savons. Et il leur dit : je ne vous dirai point aussi par quelle autorité je fais ces choses.

KJV ²⁸ But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.

MAR ²⁸ Mais que vous semble ? Un homme avait deux fils, et venant au premier, il lui dit : mon fils, va-t'en, et travaille aujourd'hui dans ma vigne.

KJV ²⁹ He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

MAR ²⁹ Lequel répondant, dit : je n'y veux point aller ; mais après s'étant repenti, il y alla.

KJV ³⁰ And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

MAR ³⁰ Puis il vint à l'autre, et lui dit la même chose ; et celui-ci répondit, et dit : j'y vais, Seigneur ; mais il n'y alla point.

KJV ³¹ Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

MAR ³¹ Lequel des deux fit la volonté du père ? ils lui répondirent : le premier. Et Jésus leur dit : en vérité je vous dis, que les péagers et les femmes de mauvaise vie vous devancent au Royaume de Dieu.

KJV ³² For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

MAR ³² Car Jean est venu à vous par la voie de la justice, et vous ne l'avez point cru ; mais les péagers et les femmes débauchées l'ont cru ; et vous, ayant vu cela, ne vous êtes point repentis ensuite pour le croire.

KJV ³³ Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:

MAR ³³ Ecoutez une autre similitude : il y avait un père de famille qui planta une vigne, et l'environna d'une haie, et y creusa un pressoir, et y bâtit une tour ; puis il la loua à des vignerons, et s'en alla dehors.

KJV ³⁴ And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.

MAR ³⁴ Et la saison des fruits étant proche, il envoya ses serviteurs aux vignerons, pour en recevoir les fruits.

KJV ³⁵ And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.

MAR ³⁵ Mais les vignerons ayant pris ses serviteurs, fouettèrent l'un, tuèrent l'autre, et en assommèrent un autre de pierres.

KJV ³⁶ Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

MAR ³⁶ Il envoya encore d'autres serviteurs en plus grand nombre que les premiers, et ils leur en firent de même.

KJV ³⁷ But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

MAR ³⁷ Enfin, il envoya vers eux son [propre] fils, en disant : ils auront du respect pour mon fils.

KJV ³⁸ But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

MAR ³⁸ Mais quand les vignerons virent le fils, ils dirent entre eux : celui-ci est l'héritier ; venez, tuons-le, et saisissons-nous de son héritage.

KJV ³⁹ And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

MAR ³⁹ L'ayant donc pris, ils le jetèrent hors de la vigne, et le tuèrent.

KJV ⁴⁰ When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

MAR ⁴⁰ Quand donc le Seigneur de la vigne sera venu, que fera-t-il à ces vignerons ?

KJV ⁴¹ They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

MAR ⁴¹ Ils lui dirent : il les fera périr malheureusement comme des méchants, et louera sa vigne à d'autres vignerons, qui lui en rendront les fruits en leur saison.

KJV ⁴² Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

KJV ⁴³ Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

KJV ⁴⁴ And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

KJV ⁴⁵ And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

KJV ⁴⁶ But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
