BCC ²⁴ Car il s'élèvera de faux Christs et de faux prophètes, et ils feront de grands miracles et des prodiges jusqu'à induire en erreur, s'il se pouvait, les élus mêmes.

KJV ²⁴ For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

BCC ²⁵ Voilà que je vous l'ai prédit.

BCC ²⁹ Aussitôt après la tribulation de ces jours, le soleil s'obscurcira, la lune ne donnera pas sa clarté, les astres tomberont du ciel, et les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées.

KJV ²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

BCC ³⁰ Alors apparaîtra dans le ciel le signe du Fils de l'homme, et alors toutes les tribus de la terre se lamenteront, et elles verront le Fils de l'homme venant sur les nuées du ciel avec grande puissance et gloire.

KJV ³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

BCC ³⁵ Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.

KJV ³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

BCC ³⁶ Quand à ce jour et à l'heure, nul ne les connaît, pas même les anges des cieux, mais le Père seul.

KJV ³⁶ But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

BCC ³⁷ Tels furent les jours de Noé, tel sera l'avènement du Fils de l'homme.

KJV ⁴² Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

BCC ⁴³ Sachez-le bien, si le maître de maison savait à quelle veille le voleur doit venir, il veillerait et ne laisserait pas percer sa maison.

KJV ⁴³ But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

BCC ⁴⁴ Tenez-vous donc prêts, vous aussi, car c'est à l'heure que vous ne pensez pas que le Fils de l'homme viendra.

KJV ⁴⁴ Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

BCC ⁴⁵ Quelqu'un donc est-il le serviteur fidèle et prudent que le maître a établi sur les gens de sa maison pour leur donner la nourriture au temps (voulu),

KJV ⁴⁵ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

BCC ⁴⁶ heureux ce serviteur que son maître, à son arrivée, trouvera agissant ainsi !

KJV ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

BCC ⁴⁷ En vérité, je vous le dis, il l'établira sur tous ses biens.

KJV ⁴⁷ Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

BCC ⁴⁸ Mais si c'est un méchant serviteur qui se dise en lui-même : "mon maître tarde,"

KJV ⁴⁸ But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

BCC ⁴⁹ et qu'il se mette à battre ses compagnons de service, qu'il mange et boive avec les ivrognes,

KJV ⁴⁹ And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

BCC ⁵⁰ le maître de ce serviteur viendra au jour où il ne s'y attend pas, et à l'heure qu'il ne sait pas,

KJV ⁵⁰ The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

BCC ⁵¹ et il le fendra en deux, et lui assignera pour lot celui des hypocrites : là il y aura les pleurs et le grincement des dents.

KJV ⁵¹ And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
