KJV ¹ And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,

KJV ² Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

KJV ³ Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

MAR ³ Alors les principaux Sacrificateurs, et les Scribes, et les Anciens du peuple s'assemblèrent dans la salle du souverain Sacrificateur, appelé Caïphe ;

KJV ⁴ And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

MAR ⁴ Et tinrent conseil ensemble pour se saisir de Jésus par finesse, afin de le faire mourir.

KJV ⁵ But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.

MAR ⁵ Mais ils disaient : que ce ne soit point durant la Fête, de peur qu'il ne se fasse quelque émotion parmi le peuple.

KJV ⁶ Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,

MAR ⁶ Et comme Jésus était à Béthanie, dans la maison de Simon le lépreux,

KJV ⁷ There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

MAR ⁷ Il vint à lui une femme qui avait un vase d'albâtre plein d'un parfum de grand prix, et qui le répandit sur sa tête, lorsqu'il était à table.

KJV ⁸ But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

MAR ⁸ Mais ses Disciples voyant cela, en furent indignés, et dirent : à quoi sert cette perte ?

KJV ⁹ For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

MAR ⁹ Car ce parfum pouvait être vendu beaucoup, et être donné aux pauvres.

KJV ¹⁰ When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

MAR ¹⁰ Mais Jésus connaissant cela, leur dit : pourquoi donnez-vous du déplaisir à cette femme ? car elle a fait une bonne action envers moi.

KJV ¹¹ For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

MAR ¹¹ Parce que vous aurez toujours des pauvres avec vous ; mais vous ne m'aurez pas toujours.

KJV ¹² For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

MAR ¹² Car ce qu'elle a répandu ce parfum sur mon corps, elle l'a fait pour [l'appareil de] ma sépulture.

KJV ¹³ Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

MAR ¹³ En vérité je vous dis, que dans tous les endroits du monde où cet Evangile sera prêché, ce qu'elle a fait sera aussi récité en mémoire d'elle.

KJV ¹⁴ Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

MAR ¹⁴ Alors l'un des douze, appelé Judas Iscariot, s'en alla vers les principaux Sacrificateurs,

KJV ¹⁵ And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

MAR ¹⁵ Et leur dit : que me voulez-vous donner, et je vous le livrerai ? Et ils lui comptèrent trente pièces d'argent.

KJV ¹⁶ And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

MAR ¹⁶ Et dès lors il cherchait une occasion pour le livrer.

KJV ¹⁷ Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

MAR ¹⁷ Or le premier jour des pains sans levain, les Disciples vinrent à Jésus, en lui disant : où veux-tu que nous t'apprêtions à manger la Pâque ?

KJV ¹⁸ And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

MAR ¹⁸ Et il répondit : allez à la ville vers un tel, et dites-lui : le Maître dit : mon temps est proche ; je ferai la Pâque chez toi avec mes Disciples.

KJV ¹⁹ And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

MAR ¹⁹ Et les Disciples firent comme Jésus leur avait ordonné, et préparèrent la Pâque.

KJV ²⁰ Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

MAR ²⁰ Or quand le soir fut venu, il se mit à table avec les douze.

KJV ²¹ And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

MAR ²¹ Et comme ils mangeaient, il [leur] dit : en vérité je vous dis, que l'un de vous me trahira.

KJV ²² And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

MAR ²² Et ils en furent fort attristés, et chacun d'eux commença à lui dire : Seigneur, est-ce moi ?

KJV ²³ And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

MAR ²³ Mais il leur répondit, et dit : celui qui met sa main au plat pour tremper avec moi, c'est celui qui me trahira.

KJV ²⁴ The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

MAR ²⁴ Or le Fils de l'homme s'en va, selon qu'il est écrit de lui ; mais malheur à cet homme par qui le Fils de l'homme est trahi ; il eût été bon à cet homme-là de n'être point né.

KJV ²⁵ Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

MAR ²⁵ Et Judas qui le trahissait, répondant dit : Maître, est-ce moi ? [Jésus] lui dit : tu l'as dit.

KJV ²⁶ And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

MAR ²⁶ Et comme ils mangeaient, Jésus prit le pain, et après qu'il eut béni Dieu, il le rompit et le donna à ses Disciples, et leur dit : prenez, mangez ; ceci est mon corps.

KJV ²⁷ And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

MAR ²⁷ Puis ayant pris la coupe, et béni Dieu, il la leur donna, en leur disant : buvez-en tous.

KJV ²⁸ For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

KJV ²⁹ But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

MAR ²⁹ Or je vous dis : que depuis cette heure je ne boirai point de ce fruit de vigne, jusqu'au jour que je le boirai nouveau avec vous, dans le Royaume de mon Père.

KJV ³⁰ And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

MAR ³⁰ Et quand ils eurent chanté le Cantique, ils s'en allèrent à la montagne des oliviers.

KJV ³¹ Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

MAR ³¹ Alors Jésus leur dit : vous serez tous cette nuit scandalisés à cause de moi ; car il est écrit : je frapperai le Berger, et les brebis du troupeau seront dispersées.

KJV ³² But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

MAR ³² Mais après que je serai ressuscité, j'irai devant vous en Galilée.

KJV ³³ Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

MAR ³³ Et Pierre prenant la parole, lui dit : quand même tous seraient scandalisés à cause de toi, je ne le serai jamais.

KJV ³⁴ Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

MAR ³⁴ Jésus lui dit : en vérité je te dis, qu'en cette même nuit, avant que le coq ait chanté, tu me renieras trois fois.

KJV ³⁵ Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

MAR ³⁵ Pierre lui dit : quand même il me faudrait mourir avec toi, je ne te renierai point ; et tous les Disciples dirent la même chose.

KJV ³⁶ Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

MAR ³⁶ Alors Jésus s'en vint avec eux en un lieu appelé Gethsémané ; et il dit à ses Disciples : asseyez-vous ici, jusques à ce que j'aie prié dans le lieu où je vais.

KJV ³⁷ And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

MAR ³⁷ Et il prit avec lui Pierre et les deux fils de Zébédée, et il commença à être attristé et fort angoissé.

KJV ³⁸ Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

KJV ³⁹ And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

MAR ³⁹ Puis s'en allant un peu plus avant, il se prosterna le visage contre terre, priant, et disant : mon Père, s'il est possible, fais que cette coupe passe loin de moi ; toutefois non point comme je le veux, mais comme tu le veux.

KJV ⁴⁰ And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

MAR ⁴⁰ Puis il vint à ses Disciples, et les trouva dormants, et il dit à Pierre : est-il possible que vous n'ayez pu veiller une heure avec moi ?

KJV ⁴¹ Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

MAR ⁴¹ Veillez, et priez que vous n'entriez point en tentation : car l'esprit est prompt, mais la chair est faible.

KJV ⁴² He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

MAR ⁴² Il s'en alla encore pour la seconde fois, et il pria, disant : mon Père, s'il n'est pas possible que cette coupe passe loin de moi, sans que je la boive ; que ta volonté soit faite.

KJV ⁴³ And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

MAR ⁴³ Il revint ensuite, et les trouva encore dormants ; car leurs yeux étaient appesantis.

KJV ⁴⁴ And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

MAR ⁴⁴ Et les ayant laissés, il s'en alla encore, et pria pour la troisième fois, disant les mêmes paroles.

KJV ⁴⁵ Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

MAR ⁴⁵ Alors il vint à ses Disciples, et leur dit : Dormez dorénavant, et vous reposez ; voici, l'heure est proche, et le Fils de l'homme va être livré entre les mains des méchants.

KJV ⁴⁶ Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

MAR ⁴⁶ Levez-vous, allons, voici, celui qui me trahit s'approche.

KJV ⁴⁷ And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

MAR ⁴⁷ Et comme il parlait encore, voici, Judas, l'un des douze, vint, et avec lui une grande troupe, avec des épées et des bâtons, envoyés de la part des principaux Sacrificateurs, et des Anciens du peuple.

KJV ⁴⁸ Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

MAR ⁴⁸ Or celui qui le trahissait leur avait donné un signal, disant : celui que je baiserai, c'est lui, saisissez-le.

KJV ⁴⁹ And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

MAR ⁴⁹ Et aussitôt s'approchant de Jésus, il lui dit : Maître, je te salue ; et il le baisa.

KJV ⁵⁰ And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him.

MAR ⁵⁰ Et Jésus lui dit : mon ami, pour quel sujet es-tu ici ? Alors s'étant approchés, ils mirent les mains sur Jésus, et le saisirent.

KJV ⁵¹ And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

MAR ⁵¹ Et voici, l'un de ceux qui étaient avec Jésus, portant la main sur son épée, la tira, et en frappa le serviteur du souverain Sacrificateur, et lui emporta l'oreille.

KJV ⁵² Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

MAR ⁵² Alors Jésus lui dit : Remets ton épée en son lieu ; car tous ceux qui auront pris l'épée, périront par l'épée.

KJV ⁵³ Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

MAR ⁵³ Crois-tu que je ne puisse pas maintenant prier mon Père, qui me donnerait présentement plus de douze Légions d'Anges ?

KJV ⁵⁴ But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

MAR ⁵⁴ Mais comment seraient accomplies les Ecritures qui disent qu'il faut que cela arrive ainsi.

KJV ⁵⁵ In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

MAR ⁵⁵ En ce même instant Jésus dit aux troupes : vous êtes sortis avec des épées et des bâtons, comme après un brigand, pour me prendre ; j'étais tous les jours assis parmi vous, enseignant dans le Temple, et vous ne m'avez point saisi.

KJV ⁵⁶ But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

MAR ⁵⁶ Mais tout ceci est arrivé afin que les Ecritures des Prophètes soient accomplies. Alors tous les Disciples l'abandonnèrent, et s'enfuirent.

KJV ⁵⁷ And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

MAR ⁵⁷ Et ceux qui avaient pris Jésus l'amenèrent chez Caïphe, souverain Sacrificateur, chez qui les Scribes et les Anciens étaient assemblés.

KJV ⁵⁸ But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

MAR ⁵⁸ Et Pierre le suivait de loin, jusques à la cour du souverain Sacrificateur, et étant entré dedans, il s'assit avec les officiers pour voir quelle en serait la fin.

KJV ⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

MAR ⁵⁹ Or les principaux Sacrificateurs, et les Anciens, et tout le Conseil cherchaient de faux témoignages contre Jésus, pour le faire mourir.

KJV ⁶⁰ But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

MAR ⁶⁰ Mais ils n'en trouvaient point ; et bien que plusieurs faux témoins fussent venus, ils n'en trouvèrent point [de propres] ; mais à la fin deux faux témoins s'approchèrent,

KJV ⁶¹ And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

MAR ⁶¹ Qui dirent : celui-ci a dit : je puis détruire le Temple de Dieu, et le rebâtir en trois jours.

KJV ⁶² And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

MAR ⁶² Alors le souverain Sacrificateur se leva, et lui dit : ne réponds-tu rien ? qu'est-ce que ceux-ci témoignent contre toi ?

KJV ⁶³ But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

MAR ⁶³ Mais Jésus se tut. Et le souverain Sacrificateur prenant la parole, lui dit : je te somme par le Dieu vivant, de nous dire si tu es le Christ, le Fils de Dieu.

KJV ⁶⁴ Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

MAR ⁶⁴ Jésus lui dit : tu l'as dit ; de plus, je vous dis, que désormais vous verrez le Fils de l'homme assis à la droite de la Puissance [de Dieu], et venant sur les nuées du ciel.

KJV ⁶⁵ Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

MAR ⁶⁵ Alors le souverain Sacrificateur déchira ses vêtements, en disant : Il a blasphémé ; qu'avons-nous plus affaire de témoins ? Voici, vous avez ouï maintenant son blasphème ; que vous en semble ?

KJV ⁶⁶ What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

MAR ⁶⁶ Ils répondirent : il est digne de mort.

KJV ⁶⁷ Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,

MAR ⁶⁷ Alors ils lui crachèrent au visage, et les uns lui donnaient des soufflets, et les autres le frappaient de leurs verges ;

KJV ⁶⁸ Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

MAR ⁶⁸ En lui disant : Christ, prophétise-nous qui est celui qui t'a frappé.

KJV ⁶⁹ Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

MAR ⁶⁹ Or Pierre était assis dehors dans la cour, et une servante s'approcha de lui, et lui dit : tu étais aussi avec Jésus le Galiléen.

KJV ⁷⁰ But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

MAR ⁷⁰ Mais il le nia devant tous, en disant : je ne sais ce que tu dis.

KJV ⁷¹ And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

MAR ⁷¹ Et comme il était sorti dans le vestibule, une autre servante le vit, et elle dit à ceux qui étaient là : celui-ci aussi était avec Jésus le Nazarien.

KJV ⁷² And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

MAR ⁷² Et il le nia encore avec serment, disant : je ne connais point cet homme.

KJV ⁷³ And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

MAR ⁷³ Et un peu après, ceux qui se trouvaient là s'approchèrent, et dirent à Pierre : certainement tu es aussi de ces gens-là, car ton langage te donne à connaître.

KJV ⁷⁴ Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

MAR ⁷⁴ Alors il commença à faire des imprécations, et à jurer, [en disant] : je ne connais point cet homme ; et aussitôt le coq chanta.

KJV ⁷⁵ And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

MAR ⁷⁵ Et Pierre se souvint de la parole de Jésus, qui lui avait dit : avant que le coq ait chanté, tu me renieras trois fois : et étant sorti dehors, il pleura amèrement.

KJV ¹ When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

MAR ¹ Puis quand le matin fut venu, tous les principaux Sacrificateurs et les Anciens du peuple tinrent conseil contre Jésus pour le faire mourir.

KJV ² And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

MAR ² Et l'ayant lié, ils l'amenèrent et le livrèrent à Ponce Pilate, qui était le Gouverneur.

KJV ³ Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

MAR ³ Alors Judas qui l'avait trahi, voyant qu'il était condamné, se repentit, et reporta les trente pièces d'argent aux principaux Sacrificateurs et aux Anciens,

KJV ⁴ Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

MAR ⁴ En leur disant : j'ai péché en trahissant le sang innocent ; mais ils lui dirent : que nous importe ? tu y aviseras.

KJV ⁵ And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

MAR ⁵ Et après avoir jeté les pièces d'argent dans le Temple, il se retira, et s'en étant allé il s'étrangla.

KJV ⁶ And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

MAR ⁶ Mais les principaux Sacrificateurs ayant pris les pièces d'argent, dirent : il n'est pas permis de les mettre dans le trésor ; car c'est un prix de sang.

KJV ⁷ And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

MAR ⁷ Et après qu'ils eurent consulté entre eux, ils en achetèrent le champ d'un potier, pour la sépulture des étrangers.

KJV ⁸ Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

MAR ⁸ C'est pourquoi ce champ-là a été appelé jusqu'à aujourd'hui, le champ du sang.

KJV ⁹ Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

MAR ⁹ Alors fut accompli ce dont il avait été parlé par Jérémie le Prophète, disant : et ils ont pris trente pièces d'argent, le prix de celui qui a été apprécié, lequel ceux d'entre les enfants d'Israël ont apprécié ;

KJV ¹⁰ And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

MAR ¹⁰ Et ils les ont données pour en acheter le champ d'un potier, selon ce que le Seigneur m'avait ordonné.

KJV ¹¹ And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

MAR ¹¹ Or Jésus fut présenté devant le Gouverneur, et le Gouverneur l'interrogea, disant : es-tu le Roi des Juifs ? Jésus lui répondit : tu le dis.

KJV ¹² And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

MAR ¹² Et étant accusé par les principaux Sacrificateurs et les Anciens, il ne répondait rien.

KJV ¹³ Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

MAR ¹³ Alors Pilate lui dit : n'entends-tu pas combien ils portent de témoignages contre toi ?

KJV ¹⁴ And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

MAR ¹⁴ Mais il ne lui répondit pas un mot sur quoi que ce fût ; de sorte que le Gouverneur s'en étonnait extrêmement.

KJV ¹⁵ Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

MAR ¹⁵ Or le Gouverneur avait accoutumé de relâcher au peuple [le jour de] la Fête un prisonnier, quel que ce fût qu'on demandât.

KJV ¹⁶ And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

MAR ¹⁶ Et il y avait alors un prisonnier fameux, nommé Barabbas.

KJV ¹⁷ Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

MAR ¹⁷ Quand donc ils furent assemblés, Pilate leur dit : lequel voulez-vous que je vous relâche ? Barabbas, ou Jésus qu'on appelle Christ ?

KJV ¹⁸ For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

MAR ¹⁸ Car il savait bien qu'ils l'avaient livré par envie.

KJV ¹⁹ When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

KJV ²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

MAR ²⁰ Et les principaux Sacrificateurs et les Anciens persuadèrent à la multitude du peuple de demander Barabbas, et de faire périr Jésus.

KJV ²¹ The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

MAR ²¹ Et le Gouverneur prenant la parole leur dit : Lequel des deux voulez-vous que je vous relâche ? Ils dirent : Barabbas.

KJV ²² Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

MAR ²² Pilate leur dit : que ferai-je donc de Jésus qu'on appelle Christ ? Ils lui dirent tous : qu 'il soit crucifié !

KJV ²³ And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

MAR ²³ Et le Gouverneur leur dit : mais quel mal a-t-il fait ? et ils crièrent encore plus fort, en disant : qu'il soit crucifié !

KJV ²⁴ When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

MAR ²⁴ Alors Pilate voyant qu'il ne gagnait rien, mais que le tumulte s'augmentait, prit de l'eau, et lava ses mains devant le peuple, en disant : je suis innocent du sang de ce juste, vous y penserez.

KJV ²⁵ Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

MAR ²⁵ Et tout le peuple répondant, dit : Que son sang soit sur nous, et sur nos enfants !

KJV ²⁶ Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

MAR ²⁶ Alors il leur relâcha Barabbas ; et après avoir fait fouetter Jésus, il le leur livra pour être crucifié.

KJV ²⁷ Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

KJV ²⁸ And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

KJV ²⁹ And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

MAR ²⁹ Et ayant fait une couronne d'épines entrelacées, ils la mirent sur sa tête, avec un roseau dans sa main droite ; puis s'agenouillant devant lui, ils se moquaient de lui, en disant : nous te saluons, Roi des Juifs !

KJV ³⁰ And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

MAR ³⁰ Et après avoir craché contre lui, ils prirent le roseau, et ils en frappaient sa tête.

KJV ³¹ And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

MAR ³¹ Et après s'être moqués de lui, ils lui ôtèrent le manteau, et le vêtirent de ses vêtements, et l'amenèrent pour le crucifier.

KJV ³² And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

MAR ³² Et comme ils sortaient, ils rencontrèrent un Cyrénéen, nommé Simon, lequel ils contraignirent de porter la croix de Jésus.

KJV ³³ And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

MAR ³³ Et étant arrivés au lieu appelé Golgotha, c'est-à-dire, le lieu du Crâne,

KJV ³⁴ They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

MAR ³⁴ Ils lui donnèrent à boire du vinaigre mêlé avec du fiel ; mais quand il en eut goûté, il n'en voulut point boire.

KJV ³⁵ And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

MAR ³⁵ Et après l'avoir crucifié, ils partagèrent ses vêtements, en les jetant au sort, afin que ce qui avait été dit par un Prophète, fût accompli : ils ont partagé entre eux mes vêtements, et ont jeté ma robe au sort.

KJV ³⁶ And sitting down they watched him there;

MAR ³⁶ Puis s'étant assis, ils le gardaient là.

KJV ³⁷ And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

MAR ³⁷ Ils mirent aussi au-dessus de sa tête un écriteau, où la cause [de sa condamnation] était marquée en ces mots: CELUI-CI EST JÉSUS LE ROI DES JUIFS.

KJV ³⁸ Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

MAR ³⁸ Et deux brigands furent crucifiés avec lui, l'un à sa droite, et l'autre à sa gauche.

KJV ³⁹ And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

MAR ³⁹ Et ceux qui passaient par là, lui disaient des outrages, en branlant la tête,

KJV ⁴⁰ And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

MAR ⁴⁰ Et disant : toi qui détruis le Temple, et qui le rebâtis en trois jours, sauve-toi toi-même ; si tu es le Fils de Dieu, descends de la croix.

KJV ⁴¹ Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

MAR ⁴¹ Pareillement aussi les principaux Sacrificateurs avec les Scribes et les Anciens, se moquant, disaient :

KJV ⁴² He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

MAR ⁴² Il a sauvé les autres, il ne se peut sauver lui-même : s'il est le Roi d'Israël, qu'il descende maintenant de la croix, et nous croirons en lui.

KJV ⁴³ He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

MAR ⁴³ Il se confie en Dieu ; [mais] si [Dieu] l'aime, qu'il le délivre maintenant, car il a dit : je suis le Fils de Dieu.

KJV ⁴⁴ The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

MAR ⁴⁴ Les brigands aussi qui étaient crucifiés avec lui, lui reprochaient la même chose.

KJV ⁴⁵ Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

MAR ⁴⁵ Or depuis six heures il y eut des ténèbres sur tout le pays, jusqu'à neuf heures.

KJV ⁴⁶ And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

MAR ⁴⁶ Et environ les neuf heures Jésus s'écria à haute voix, en disant : Eli, Eli, lamma sabachthani ? c'est-à-dire, Mon Dieu ! mon Dieu ! pourquoi m'as-tu abandonné ?

KJV ⁴⁷ Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

MAR ⁴⁷ Et quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là présents, ayant entendu cela, disaient : il appelle Elie.

KJV ⁴⁸ And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

MAR ⁴⁸ Et aussitôt un d'entre eux courut, et prit une éponge, et l'ayant remplie de vinaigre, la mit au bout d'un roseau, et lui en donna à boire.

KJV ⁴⁹ The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

MAR ⁴⁹ Mais les autres disaient : laisse, voyons si Elie viendra le sauver.

KJV ⁵⁰ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

MAR ⁵⁰ Alors Jésus ayant crié encore à haute voix, rendit l'esprit.

KJV ⁵¹ And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

KJV ⁵² And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

KJV ⁵³ And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

KJV ⁵⁴ Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

KJV ⁵⁵ And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

MAR ⁵⁵ Il y avait là aussi plusieurs femmes qui regardaient de loin, et qui avaient suivi Jésus depuis la Galilée, en le servant.

KJV ⁵⁶ Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

MAR ⁵⁶ Entre lesquelles étaient Marie-Magdeleine ; et Marie mère de Jacques et de Joses ; et la mère des fils de Zébédée.

KJV ⁵⁷ When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

KJV ⁵⁸ He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

KJV ⁵⁹ And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

MAR ⁵⁹ Ainsi Joseph prit le corps, et l'enveloppa d'un linceul net ;

KJV ⁶⁰ And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

MAR ⁶⁰ Et le mit dans son sépulcre neuf, qu'il avait taillé dans le roc ; et après avoir roulé une grande pierre à l'entrée du sépulcre, il s'en alla.

KJV ⁶¹ And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

MAR ⁶¹ Et là étaient Marie-Magdeleine et l'autre Marie, assises vis-à-vis du sépulcre.

KJV ⁶² Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

KJV ⁶³ Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

MAR ⁶³ Et lui dirent : Seigneur ! il nous souvient que ce séducteur disait, quand il était encore en vie : dans trois jours je ressusciterai.

KJV ⁶⁴ Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

MAR ⁶⁴ Commande donc que le sépulcre soit gardé sûrement jusques au troisième jour ; de peur que ses Disciples ne viennent de nuit, et ne le dérobent, et qu'ils ne disent au peuple : il est ressuscité des morts ; car cette dernière imposture serait pire que la première.

KJV ⁶⁵ Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

MAR ⁶⁵ Mais Pilate leur dit : vous avez la garde ; allez, et assurez-le comme vous l'entendrez.

KJV ⁶⁶ So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

MAR ⁶⁶ Ils s'en allèrent donc, et assurèrent le sépulcre, scellant la pierre, et y mettant des gardes.

KJV ¹ In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

MAR ¹ Or au soir du Sabbat, au jour qui devait luire pour le premier de la semaine, Marie-Madeleine, et l'autre Marie vinrent voir le sépulcre.

KJV ² And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

MAR ² Et voici, il se fit un grand tremblement de terre, car l'Ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, et vint, et roula la pierre à côté de l'entrée [du sépulcre], et s'assit sur elle.

KJV ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

MAR ³ Et son visage était comme un éclair, et son vêtement blanc comme de la neige.

KJV ⁴ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

MAR ⁴ Et les gardes en furent tellement saisis de frayeur, qu'ils devinrent comme morts.

KJV ⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

MAR ⁵ Mais l'Ange prenant la parole, dit aux femmes : pour vous, n'ayez point de peur ; car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, qui a été crucifié.

KJV ⁶ He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

MAR ⁶ Il n'est point ici ; car il est ressuscité, comme il l'avait dit ; venez, et voyez le lieu où le Seigneur était couché.

KJV ⁷ And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

MAR ⁷ Et allez-vous-en promptement, et dites à ses Disciples qu'il est ressuscité des morts. Et voici, il s'en va devant vous en Galilée, vous le verrez là ; voici, je vous l'ai dit.

KJV ⁸ And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

MAR ⁸ Alors elles sortirent promptement du sépulcre avec crainte et grande joie ; et coururent l'annoncer à ses Disciples.

KJV ⁹ And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

MAR ⁹ Mais comme elles allaient pour l'annoncer à ses Disciples, voici, Jésus se présenta devant elles, et leur dit : je vous salue. Et elles s'approchèrent, et embrassèrent ses pieds, et l'adorèrent.

KJV ¹⁰ Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

MAR ¹⁰ Alors Jésus leur dit : ne craignez point ; allez, et dites à mes frères d'aller en Galilée, et qu'ils me verront là.

KJV ¹¹ Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

MAR ¹¹ Or quand elles furent parties, voici, quelques-uns de la garde vinrent dans la ville, et ils rapportèrent aux principaux Sacrificateurs toutes les choses qui étaient arrivées.

KJV ¹² And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

MAR ¹² Sur quoi [les Sacrificateurs] s'assemblèrent avec les Anciens, et après avoir consulté, ils donnèrent une bonne somme d'argent aux soldats,

KJV ¹³ Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

MAR ¹³ En leur disant : dites : ses Disciples sont venus de nuit, et l'ont dérobé lorsque nous dormions.

KJV ¹⁴ And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

MAR ¹⁴ Et si le Gouverneur vient à en entendre parler, nous le lui persuaderons, et nous vous mettrons hors de peine.

KJV ¹⁵ So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

MAR ¹⁵ Eux donc ayant pris l'argent, firent ainsi qu'ils avaient été instruits ; et ce bruit s'en est répandu parmi les Juifs, jusqu'à aujourd'hui.

KJV ¹⁶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

MAR ¹⁶ Mais les onze Disciples s'en allèrent en Galilée, sur la montagne où Jésus leur avait ordonné [de se rendre].

KJV ¹⁷ And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

KJV ¹⁸ And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

MAR ¹⁸ Et Jésus s'approchant leur parla, en disant : toute puissance m'est donnée dans le ciel et sur la terre.

KJV ¹⁹ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

MAR ¹⁹ Allez donc, et enseignez toutes les nations, les baptisant au Nom du Père, et du Fils, et du Saint-Esprit ;

KJV ²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

MAR ²⁰ [Et] les enseignant de garder tout ce que je vous ai commandé. Et voici, je suis toujours avec vous jusques à la fin du monde. Amen.
